Plantage Ayo is located on the Suriname River, approximately 50 minutes from the center of Paramaribo. Nearby well-known villages include Powakka, JodenSavanne, and Redi Doti.
The plantation is accessible by both boat and car. From the center of Paramaribo, it takes about 50 minutes by car.
This centuries-old plantation has been owned by various families for several generations.
For years, visitors have been coming every weekend to engage in water sports. They enjoy the river, the bridge, and numerous campsites such as Kamp Muyden and small tents rented out by local owners.
