Fantastic Four Trick Riders

- Part of the special celebration of the 10th Annual Bowsman Lions Club Bullarama on October 5, 2013. These trick riders are from Norquay, Saskatchewan, and though they are only in their second year, they are pros. And wait till you see the littlest member of the Fantastic Four!

Robin had pratically no controll over her horse... She also kicked and pulled a lot...
The little girl is adorable and you can tell the mother, the horse, and the little girl all love each other. that horse calmed down and even took smoother steps onces that little girl hopped on.
The first one in the ring was the nicest to her horse, she didn't wham him in the sides at all. The last one to enter all you see is smacking after smacking in the sides.
Jamie Hayden How was she the nicest? I saw and heard her smack the rump of her horse as soon as they entered in the ring....
She only did that once, the other riders did it multiple times.
Jamie Hayden But did she praise her horse like the others? none of those horses look happy and none of the riders look nice.
For people who say they suck they don't like the other person said to small of an arena but they have horrible control of there horse I mean they were bumping into each other the horses were anxious and how they had to kick them they need more practise just on riding I have been riding or 13 years and I'm 14

@kilometerkiara they are trained to do that so they just run by themselves and then when they ask them to stop they stop
And all I can do is walk, trott, canter, and cross rail!
And the occasional vertical.

How is it poor, the horses get to go as fast as they like. This is just a discipline of riding, so if this is bad then nobody should ever ride a horse, right?
+Delisiousfajita It's called "counter-canter", when the horses are on the wrong leg on purpose. Trick riding, specifically, is unfair to the horse as the horse will get a back issue called spinal rotation, when the spine rotates over time due to running in circles in the same direction all their life (this is found in almost all racehorses, depending on which way round the track they go). The muscles have built up on one side of the spine but not the other, so the spine ends up rotating. This can lead to bulging vetebrae and can cause severe back pain for the horse, that we don't seem to notice.
It is poor when we have people constantly kicking and hurting a horse in the ribs

Hailey Howell I totally know where youre coming from! I ride, i go to competions and see people almost kick them so hard they get so crazy, i mean i get it thats how you make them move but like there are other ways, squeeze, tap them,or get spurs, they dont hurt the horse.
crazycountrygirl I don’t agree spurs do more harm then good and that’s why I don’t ride my horse in bits spurs or use crops all of those are abusive
Lily the Horse girl they aren't abusive unless you make them be. it all depends on the rider. its how the rider uses the bit, crop or spurs. Please don't say its abusive if you don't have reasoning
@@kayleehartwig People used to have to "earn their Spurs". When they proved themselves to be a great horseman, with soft hands and a soft horse, they were awarded their Spurs. Because spurs can do a great deal of damage, not always intentional. But one shouldn't kick with spurs, you should have stable feet and just press lightly; spurs also add length to the leg, so pressing the rear end over with a simple touch is much easier. But most people I see with spurs Still kick the horse with them: that shit hurts and Will Gouge the horse, I've seen it and it looks awful.
Now, bits. The whole point of a bit is to cause pain. Even the softest bits (in an experienced person's hand) can pull at the lips, pinch the tongue and if it moves in the mouth can hurt the teeth.
As for crops, I don't think they're always bad. I've used them to tap a horses shoulder or certain spots when I want them to do something specific. But when people just whack their horses with it repeatedly and without restraint... Yeah, horses have thicker skin but they're Probably already doing all they can for you and the flogging isn't helping.

i think these girls need more practice. i am 13 and am way better. they do love it so they should keep it up. look up Westernaires trick ridding

Trick riding is freaky, I can only do the running man and I can stand up on the horse while cantering, that's probably as far as I'll get in trick riding😂 It's freaky trust me, but you have to have a lot of trust in the horse

That's why they where whipping them and right now I am sitting ninth in Australia for Barell racing
