The actress playing Asha is very sweet. She seems a bit nervous. She speaks slowly and takes a second between one sentence to another. Maybe it's her first time working as the character. Hopefully in time and with more practice, she will feel more free and comfortable :) Welcome to the Disney family Asha!
@FG-tu4fq merch makes sense. Meet and greets do not. What would visitors even say to the character? The trailer doesn't even provide enough context to know what's going on
Yeah. They do that for promotional reasons. And it's not just meet and greets! Some park attractions, like Animal Kingdom's first two IP rides, DINOSAUR and It's Tough to Be a Bug were released before their respective films came out. Also, some attractions have been temporarily updated to promote new entries into the franchise they represent, like when Constantine interrupted the Muppet-Vision preshow to promote Muppets Most Wanted, or when Destiny from Finding Dory joined Dory in Turtle Talk With Crush to teach the kids whale song, or when Star Tours got new simulations every time a sequel trilogy film came out. And this was all before any of those films came out! Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it does make sense from a marketability standpoint. On the other hand, there are some drawbacks: 1. You don't know if you're going to like these characters yet, so it's not as exciting meeting them in person as it will hopefully be when you fully know them. 2. It's difficult including a character whose story has yet to be told without spoiling things. DINOSAUR didn't have this problem, as it stayed true to the original idea of the animals not talking, and the actual plot involves us helping a human bring Alador to the present, so the ride's not even about him, Neera, Kron, or the Love Monkey. It's Tough to Be a Bug has the advantage of only including two characters from the film, and not spoiling anything major about them. But Destiny in Turtle Talk With Crush, while fun, also kind of reveals that Dory learned whale from her as a kid, and I'm pretty sure all scenes from Finding Dory that give explanations for her goofy abilities, like talking to whales, are meant to be big reveals. And sometimes, they would have to lie to avoid revealing any secrets. Like when Merida's meet and greet set had her brothers as bear cubs on it, and she had to pretend she's never seen them before. And I sure feel sorry for all the kids that hugged Lotso Huggin Bear before Toy Story 3 came out, and found out that the adorable Teddy Bear they hugged is also a tyrannical dictator who nearly got our heroes fried! 3. Sometimes these temporary changes can interfere with the actual attraction's timelessness. While it was cool to go on adventures in Star Tours based on the sequel trilogy, they had this weird idea to make those the ONLY simulations you would get when you ride at the time, which kind of ruins the variety of combinations which made the updated version of Star Tours popular to begin with. And while Constantine telling us his evil plan in Muppet-Vision WAS fun at first, it wasn't as fun when he kept interrupting the preshow A YEAR Most Wanted came out and he was arrested. So I guess this has its ups and downs.
@@notman05exactly. Besides, even if the cast member has seen the movie, there’s nothing for them to talk about with guests without spoilers or misinformation.
This is actually fantastic! And Asha actually looks like the right dark skin complexion! (sometimes I feel Tiana looks too light in the parks). This is hugh step in theme park meet and greet progression!
Jeez Disney rolled her out super quickly before the film is released. But she does look amazing and I can't wait to see the film. It's pretty odd that Asha's now at Epcot and last month they removed Merida's new meet and greet at the Magic Kingdom and limited her to Cinderella's Royal Table. 1:20 some crowd y'all are by not giving her a standing ovation for her arrival.😒 3:09 that guy wearing the most subtle shirt while waiting in line.
They would have a line out the park if there was a Bluey Meet and Greet. Disney needs to get the rights to use Bluey in the parks. No one is spending thousands to meet Asha. Even if there is little to no line.
I mean I don't even like the trailer of the movie and I don't even like her so I'll avoid meeting her when I'm at epcot I'll stick to meeting moana at epcot and the live action of the little mermaid ariel at Hollywood studios instead
I am super hyped for Disney’s Wish! Asha looks so adorable and beautiful!

I wish that King Magnifico would make an appearance at Disney California Adventure’s Oogie Boogie Bash next year
I think you may have just predicted it. What would be a better time to introduce this new villain at the Disney parks?
Can’t wait for this movie! She’s so pretty and happy! ⭐️❤
I love how they put characters out there for movies that aren't even released yet. Kids are like, "Who the **** is that??!?"
That has been Disney's MO for long butt while. They make merch and have characters from their upcoming movies to promote them, dumdum.
@@FG-tu4fq LMGDAO!!!!!! Doesn't make it any more smart, FUGQ2 or whatever your name is.

It looks like that some Little Girls will be trying to look for some of the new Asha Dresses.
