I wanna make one point clear, for those that feel like im blaming you for buying the game on PC thats not what i meant when i made the comment @ 4:51 . What im referring to is the fact that hackers have been a problem across a multitude of games on PC so i can’t understand the idea of going into a game on Pc and not at least expecting some cheaters. Especially in the early stages of games( the first few patches) no game is perfect and things take time. But its on the devs to take the feedback of the community and make changes
You know why everyone’s leaving? It’s because you all moaning and complaining about the game being unbalanced when it’s always been an unbalanced game!! Why did they even bother making this online, people always got something to moan about
definitely a valid point, if you dont like online just dont play it simple as that. If you’re tired of losing then get better at the game🤷🏿♂️ But its always those who pull “ well i got a job, wife, etc. so i dont have time to play and be good” then atp why are we having this conversation lmao. If you’re a casual gamer then be causal go play the non ranked modes that have the “sweats” you complain about or just play with your homies
@ well explained bro! I work 12 hour shifts and just recently moved out with my partner I’m 27, I still have a lot of time to play the game, only reason why I’m good is because of the previous db games, I would of bought the special edition even if it didn’t have online I barely play online anyway 😂
Oh thats wassup happy for you. You definitely gotta you that veteran experience 😂😂 I didn’t speak on much the people that this game is a EVO contender, but like bro this game is for fun plain and simple. Yea it CAN get competitive like anything else right, but its not built to be an actual competitive game. I definitely think there’s things you can do to make the game more “ balanced” experience for a potential comp scene using in game items and such.

My opinion is... Sparking Zero has some amazing single player content for people who aren't in it to grind ranked mode... Which is a completely optional game mode. You set it down and play it less - so the numbers go down who cares? Player counts only matter for games that are like MMOs. A million people could be playing Sparking Zero but if I never play online what's that to me? Was it fun game? Yes. Probably one of the best Dragon Ball Games ever. So numbers of faceless players I'll never see or interact with to enjoy the game don't matter. Can I still lobby with friends? Yes. Okay so what's the big deal?
100% Agree, as long as the things you wanna do are playable who really cares. What annoys me the most with this “dead game” take is that it comes from a place of blind hate and somewhat valid( depending on the take) criticism. Some people just simply wanna see S0 fail idk why but they do. But at the end of the day as long as you have fun with it what matters. 🤷🏿♂️
@@horizonXII Thing is everything is a "dead game" essentially by steamcharts - but that doesn't invalidate enjoyment. @@NotTheWheel This is a pretty hard cope though, if the streamers who were getting 1k viewers are now at 120, and players are dropping by 90% "who cares" that means no one cares about the game. @cairnethunderhoof6225 niche ≠ dead, game is still thriving on YT and the people like me that waited 17 years for this are still very much excited about what’s to come. Just bc a large portion of people decided to hop on the wave and then leave after a week doesn’t mean the game is any less interesting. Again its has flaws that definitely make it hard to play but the devs havy acknowledged these issues. So as more updates roll out these issues will continue to be addressed.
@NotTheWheel EXACTLY games like MMOs that heavily rely on player base to continue is when i understand the large drop in player base argument making sense. S0 is not a game that needs 100k+ players to thrive and be enjoyable. This game was created by fans and made for the fans and trust me the fans that were waiting for this are still playing the game 😂
It’s a fighting game and historically there has not been one that retained a high amount of players. Its truly an impossible task when the casual gamer is just not that skilled. Fighting games take skill no matter what it is hint as to why the honeymoon phase (i think is less than a month) people die off and you just have the “sweats”. Within two weeks of this title i saw mods for this and personal opinion I don’t like them in most situations as it takes away from the original game. If its needed to make it more fun then the initial product is bad. Solid points though
its sucks bc the more people trash the game( which is the biggest success in the genre) the less likely we are to get more anime fighting games in general.
I get what you are saying, but I have not seen an actual fighting game losing so much players in just a month, not even DNF Duel. I think this is because in the end, this game it’s still an arena fighting game, and like all arena fighting games it’ll get drop after a few weeks.
Its like i said its hard to agree with a “fall off “ of a game when the platform they’re pushing that narrative with is one that doesn’t hold a significant amount of the player base. Like if PS seen a large amount of empty lobbies and long queues then i’ll totally understand that take. But yea you’re right about this being the typical thing that happens to anime arena fighters. There just hasn’t been a long lasting one, i still think S0 will be fine in the long run but only time will tell.
Problem is too many players go on there and want to be pure headaches to fight for the sake of their rank. That being said I create rooms for player matches with open rank entries and just fight for the fun of it. Spamming not only isn’t effective against a better player but there is no way it’s enjoyable to do. So when you watch a spam tutorial then go out and try it not only will it fail but you also won’t have fun when you succeed. What they should do is make all beam supers and blasts swattable like raging blast 2 and it will introduce a more balanced dynamic.
Well you can use a revenge counter to swat away supers not ults tho especially if they’re unblockable. Same goes for vanishing, you can get out of a lot of stuff just by simply timing your dodge . But this is damn near an impossible task when the game has a horrible NAT code that causes input delay 🤦🏿♂️
I'm on PC and i haven't come across any modders. My only problem is people abusing the in game mechanics, but as weeks go on in noticing less of it. I'm having a much better time these days. No regret whatsoever
Abusing game mechanics is definitely some bs, like i hate perception spammers lmao. its good that your overall experience hasn’t been ruined by cheating. I personally haven’t bought it on PC yet im not ready to start my modding journey ima let the community cook for a bit. So i can’t speak on what’s going on there, but the way people talk about it is like cheaters are unavoidable and when you see stuff like the 90% Pc pop leaving the game it gives validity to those claims. But hear you say its not all doom and gloom makes me feel like there’s still hope for PC port
I must be getting old or something. I got this game mostly to relight that fire kid me had to just play infinite battles I create in normal battle mode. I'm having a blast with the game and, I haven't even beat all the episodes battles yet, tried creating my own episodes although that mode looks fun itself, or even played an online match yet. Its crazy to see everyone switching up on this game, real fans having a blast with it.
Ive been playing a lot on PC and id say rage quitting has been a much bigger problem than cheaters. I don't think I've noticed any cheats or mods in about maybe 50-60 ranked matches. My queue times are short and im improving every time, so other than missing out on rank points bc of rage quitters, i think its pretty good overall
I’ve been seeing that a lot from people that ACTUALLY have played the game and aren’t just echoing the things they’ve see on twitter/ reddit again its Pc so cheaters are to be expected to a certain degree. One of my friends that’s been on playing on Pc hasn’t come across any cheaters as well but he said quitters are really the problem.
Imo this games main problem is the controls, the game in general feels like a cheaper version of the older games. For example on my channel i posted a video on a glitch i found that made it so i couldn't do damage to my opponent on an offline match, and classic controls in general has a lot of bugs both in online and offline matches. TL;DR: The game feels unfinished with way too many bugs that can take the fun out of a match, has a huge lack of content, and many more issues previous games didnt have
The controls and camera feels so baaaad 😭 i play on classic and before they fixed the issue where if you played against someone running standard it would disable your controls the game was pretty unplayable for me
It’s a fun game, there is just alot of good games out rn, Fortnite rereleasing older season, new cod just came out, people are occupied playin other games it doesn’t mean it’s DEAD
Had to stop the video when you drooled out of your mouth and said "thats what you get for buying the game on PC" literally everyone plays everything on PC. The game shouldnt have hackers or exploits JUST BECAUSE its on PC thats a development problem not on the people who just want to have the best experience, which is on PC. This is literally like saying counter strike olayers need to pick up a roller and play the xbox360 version of counter strike because there's less cheaters ... FUG NO
Expecting any game on PC to not have cheaters is naive. Like i said the cheating problem is a PC problem( with expectation to maybe some one off cases i dont know about) Bandai has used easy anti cheat across pretty much all their PC ports that they’ve published. It does the best it to detect cheaters but it can only do so much. Also you have to keep in mind these anime games especially DB ones are loved by the modding community. Not saying its not possible but its hard to exorcise all cheaters without the potentially screwing over an entire community that just wants to add to your creation. The modding community is that “great PC experience“ you’re referring to imo. All that being said no, i dont think you should have to pick up a console just to avoid less cheaters but thats unfortunately the reality you face. You cant stop all cheaters in games thats just an unrealistic situation but you can’t blame a dev team for prioritizing the core of their player base..Which is console, and more specifically playstation. They’ll continue to do what they can but people need to be more realistic on that front, larger dev teams for games like Cod still struggle to keep the game a fair and fun space in the always evolving space that is hacking/ cheating.
@horizonXII I literally can blame the devs because they're responsible lmao. Why would you blame people for buying it on a platform that's available to them that's better in EVERYWAY, you have mods you have less input delay you have access to the files to customize (just like a hacker)... It's basic knowledge this is how fighting games are played in 2024. It's up to the devs to put a good anti cheat in the game it's not on the players to beta test if the PC port will be playable or not when Bandai is SELLING THE GAME. Also no one said PC should have 0 cheaters I said you're WRONG for saying "that's what you get for buying it on PC". Games like COD have more cheaters because it has more players and it's an established franchise .... Same thing with CSGO, a brand new game with a good anti cheat should not struggle with cheaters especially as a fighting game no matter what platform. The fact that you could possibly fight 20 teams of androids and THEN fight a guy exploiting or just rage quitting is why the game is dead not because people CHOSE to get it on PC. And that's BANDAI'S FAULT
But again you’re completely missing the point. This LITERALLY a PC problem, i’ve never experienced bc i don’t play this game on Pc. Cods player base is not why cheating is being addressed more nowadays. Its bc its had such a large influx in Pc players. Back when cod had most of their players on console cheating wasn’t talked about unless you had a completely jailbroken console which wasn’t common. It wasn’t until crossplay where things became a problem bc it started to effect EVERYONES experience if you think otherwise then idk what to tell you. An once again you bring up CSGO which is a largely online pvp focused game that is only on PC. S0 and CSGO are not comparable, in any way shape or form. So once again i think if the game made this big significant shift to PC that you and everyone else that agrees with you believe. Then the issue of cheating would definitely be handled at lot better than it is. A lot of us copped the game on PC to mod it or bc that’s where our friends are. If you feel like hackers are that much of a problem and make the game unplayable then drop the game. I can’t blame you for that its valid🤷🏿♂️
@@horizonXII Are you struggling with reading ? You're literally just arguing to argue without even thinking about what I said lmao CSGO and COD are both games on PC people hack and yes people hack COD on console... So yes they are comparable in literally everyway. My point was people HACK MORE in these games that have established player bases because more people play them and more people WANT to have hacks, a niche fighter should not be having issues with hackers like the two largest shooters in history do PERIOD. Not sure what other points you're trying to argue but that's mine and it's facts. Also .... I don't care about cheaters or the game you're the one who brought it up and blamed people for buying it on PC instead of blaming Bandai for having 1) no downside to rage quitting 2) exploits and bugs that ruin matches 3) terrible anti cheat. It's not the fault of ANYONE who wants to buy it on PC it's the fault of BANDAI.
i want you to read what you said out loud and tell me that makes sense. “a niche fighter should not be having issues with hackers”, first off i can’t speak on how frequently you or anyone else comes across hackers on PC . But judging off of others that commented on their PC experience it can definitely happen but its not as frequent as your painting it. But nonetheless its an issue. you’re getting upset that i made a comment about you the consumer purchasing a product but not questioning that maybe a universal problem across an entire platform(Pc) may just not be an issue in a new popular game that is releasing on said platform ? Then to say a niche game shouldn’t have a hacking problem bc its small, dude that makes no sense. If people are going to cheat then they’re going to cheat it doesn’t matter if its 5 people or 5 million people. I’ve already said its up to the devs to respond to these issues but to just blatantly be ignorant of the fact that hackers are a possibility in very popular game is just stupid. I’ve already acknowledged that hackers are a problem that is a possibility for any PC game . But the point of this video was the debunked this “dead” game take. All that other shi about blaming the consumer you added i literally never said that lmaooo but im just “arguing to argue” right ? with someone that got so offended by a comment that was made in video. That you stopped watching and went straight to the comments section without a second thought.
Storm 4 is great game but lets not act like its the most balanced experience. Is it more balanced than S0? potentially, but again S0 was never created to be a balanced or comp game. Yes there’s major flaws that make the game unenjoyable at times and they will be fixed in time. I think there’s waaaaay too many defensive measures in the game and not all of them are useful. Perception for example is easily spammed and is counter with ki blasts and throws. This style of play results in both parties just going into sparking, super spamming, or ult dependency. One could argue that’s how the game is supposed to be played 🤷🏿♂️ I definitely think there should be a rework for things like super counters that can also be spammed( you can completely override the input timing needed) since it consumes LITERALLY NOTHING and it’s not hard to do. As long as the games doesn’t decide to give you the worse input delay lmaoo
Not shocked. The gameplay is nothing more than a button masher. For the life of me I will never understand how people wanted a sequel to this series instead of a sequel to budokai 3.
It terms of it being a game in the franchise that brought a lot of new players in that wouldn’t typically try a game like that. Elden ring was a lot of people’s first souls game, a good amount of people that played sparking zero have never played any other anime arena fighter or DB game before so this was an introduction for them. Also in terms of success, Elden ring is the most successful souls game and S0 is track to be the most successful Db game. Im not sure what its current numbers are but it sold 3 mil in 24 hrs immediately following its release
what made me not wanna play the game anymore is: - they got everyone starstruck because they have the "biggest roster ever" when every single character plays exactly the same. just with minor differences in frame data. - I don't like the camera and animations - the whole Perception system and blast stocks, just tie defense to ki like the other games - graphics. idc how HD it is, trash in 4k is still trash. I prefer the way the characters look in raging blast 2. - the community complaining about people TRYING to win by using tryhard characters... like have you guys been above the top 50% in any game in your life? like really let's get mad that your D tier character has a hard time against my A tier that has you beat in every single stat category.😑 honestly yes you can just get better, but once you get up to the top 10% and you guys are all around the same skill, your character will lose to the better tuned one, so you really have to play flawlessly compared to your opponent. which is completely fine. nowadays everyone expects to be catered to in every single way
It’s not just average fans whining, the tryhards were crying too. Some players have managed to win with Yajirobe, and he is not supposed to be able to win against Gogeta, Vegito burrito, and UI Goku. They cry about it which was to Namco nerfing Yajirobe. Another possible reason that people are dropping is because it takes no skill for game at all, just pick the character that is canonically the strongest and you are set.
Ehh thats not necessarily true, cheesing/ bs gimmicks aside skill wins. Having the stronger character definitely gives you a big advantage but the better player should always theoretically win. You’re going to be fighting an uphill battle the entire time when you have the weaker character
I have my own opinions towards the rest of your comment bc I somewhat disagree on some things but your last segment towards “d tier characters” I agree 1000000% n I think you’ve phrased it so well !
@@ssantos88 honestly every fighting game has an op character due to a very specific gimmick they have. but it gets fixed. and yes the game is a bit too accurate in terms of pick the literal stronger character. I think in ranked modes where skill should actually matter, give everyone the same health and damage pools

Glad u said this I ain’t know fighting games was better on console
yea i would only cop on pc if i was planning on modding it or strictly doing single player stuff
This game became so popular i. a short time creating hate in other fans, so they are happy about that notice
I dont understand why, when the success of one anime game franchise opens the door for others 🤷🏿♂️
It’s unbalanced as hell but they expect the beautiful graphics to make up for that. Storm 4 still remains the best anime game to me
brother that IS dragon ball budokai tenkaichi its unbalanced and realistic cus ofc fusions are stronger then tien or sum shi
One could argue that’s how the game is supposed to be played 🤷🏿♂️
I definitely think there should be a rework for things like super counters that can also be spammed( you can completely override the input timing needed) since it consumes LITERALLY NOTHING and it’s not hard to do. As long as the games doesn’t decide to give you the worse input delay lmaoo
Storm 4 sucks the last good Naruto games were those 2d ones.. think they were called ultimate ninja or some shit on the PS2.
@@cairnethunderhoof6225 hy
storm 4 has its place you gotta keep in mind just how many times theyve reused that storm 4 formula bc it was so popular
Not shocked. The gameplay is nothing more than a button masher. For the life of me I will never understand how people wanted a sequel to this series instead of a sequel to budokai 3.
Game was never supposed to be balanced or have online
The elden ring of dragonball games? What are you talking about?
It terms of it being a game in the franchise that brought a lot of new players in that wouldn’t typically try a game like that. Elden ring was a lot of people’s first souls game, a good amount of people that played sparking zero have never played any other anime arena fighter or DB game before so this was an introduction for them. Also in terms of success, Elden ring is the most successful souls game and S0 is track to be the most successful Db game. Im not sure what its current numbers are but it sold 3 mil in 24 hrs immediately following its release
They quit playin cause they ain't Saiyan
Gen z ideology. The game is fine
It’s still better then xenoverse 2
Absolver dead af on Xbox too 😢
brooo i remember that game i beat it in a few hours but it was super fun. 😂😂😂
hy fighting games are never ever played on PC😂😂😂
what made me not wanna play the game anymore is:
- they got everyone starstruck because they have the "biggest roster ever" when every single character plays exactly the same. just with minor differences in frame data.
- I don't like the camera and animations
- the whole Perception system and blast stocks, just tie defense to ki like the other games
- graphics. idc how HD it is, trash in 4k is still trash. I prefer the way the characters look in raging blast 2.
- the community complaining about people TRYING to win by using tryhard characters... like have you guys been above the top 50% in any game in your life? like really let's get mad that your D tier character has a hard time against my A tier that has you beat in every single stat category.😑
honestly yes you can just get better, but once you get up to the top 10% and you guys are all around the same skill, your character will lose to the better tuned one, so you really have to play flawlessly compared to your opponent. which is completely fine. nowadays everyone expects to be catered to in every single way
the camera is definitely wonky asl its annoying sometimes
I have my own opinions towards the rest of your comment bc I somewhat disagree on some things but your last segment towards “d tier characters”
I agree 1000000% n I think you’ve phrased it so well !
@@ssantos88 honestly every fighting game has an op character due to a very specific gimmick they have. but it gets fixed. and yes the game is a bit too accurate in terms of pick the literal stronger character.
I think in ranked modes where skill should actually matter, give everyone the same health and damage pools
Bro is REACHING for clout
reaching for clout ? bro i talked about something i like idk what clout you think i’ll get from this.
@@GetawayMayne as dense as lead, half as useful

Not playing sparking zero I'm too busy playing metaphor
Heard it was a great game very similar to persona right?
@horizonXII its basically if persona and shin megami tensei had a baby with a medieval theme and yes it's incredible if you like jrpgs at all I recommend it
Person and shin megami are the same verse ? i’ve never tried them out before but i might have to give this one a try its sounds fun
