It makes me so sad that this movie is a little too extreme for most people because it's such an excellent film.
Fuck "most people"
Fuck yeah! Most people are idiots.
I love the fact it wasn’t “popular “ cause it’s like a secret only I know .
Compared to the book it is extremely sanitised.
10/10 the film has such a brilliant way of telling the story not to mention it does make you disturbed while at the same time gives you some black comedy here and there
This film is genius. And so very true to the realities of mental illness.
It is about a person with bipolar dissorder and what happens when illness is not treated (he never takes lithium) .The degradation of a person's mental state
Hipotenuza Not bipolar, but Borderline personality disorder
FrkKatch So,in the movie he was misdiagnosed, because he was perscribed medication for bipolar dissorder. It is ultimately revealed through dream-like exchanges with Dr. Rossi, his psychiatrist, that he is on medication for bipolar disorder.
Hipotenuza that's so weird. unfortunately many doesn't get the right disease correct in movies or books for that matter. it takes a lot of research if you don't know it and a lot of the diseases are very similar that it's hard to see what stands out.
I've read both bipolar and Borderline personality disorder so I don't know what to think outer than I can see a lot of "me" in Bruce and I'm suffering with Borderline personality disorder.
+FrkKatch i'm so sorry.I hope medications help you .
James McAvoy did such a great job at this role. i personally thought it was a movie everyone should see. sunshine gets its greatness from rain.
Are you in the states? I'm frustrated bc it seems like it should have come out here but...no such luck for me in Texas. Will have to keep waiting on the video. Or maybe I missed the window of time that it came through? Ugh. Fickle movies.
This film needs more recognition because it was amazing and McAvoy just nailed it
james' burp and his response to it XD hahaha
Kinda shocked to discover McAvoy actually really has such a strong accent... Amazing film thou
When I read the book, I never dreamed that there would ever be a film. The book is just unfilmable. I thought the film was brilliant. Liked the Dr, who replaced the tapeworm. Loved the humour in the film, whereas the book is really fucking dark.
i like him in this hairstyle 👍👍
Me too. Mkae him even more attractive.
fuck when he answered the first question and i already love him
Theres a lot of great actors of this era especially foriegn actors that i would definitely like to see make a future oscar performance for their craft. James mcavoy is one of them.
I see a lot of comments saying mcavoy was robbed an Oscar for this performance but personally he was too good for the oscars his part in filth is absolutely insane acting . hats off
for sure he was, but thats because the movie went under the radar that year, most likely. if theyd have seen it, he's have won for sure. Its the best performance Ive ever seen in a movie.
This movie was totally incredible. Very disturbing and moving.
The ending is beautifull
Wow. To see a movie that takes your disease in context it's so weird to see, I could recognise a lot of it. Sad, disturbing and funny. Loved it!
I wish James can take on more daring roles hes such an underrated actor probably my favorite if it wasn't for him x man would be shit but he's so much better then that my hat always goes off to you James
He's gorgeous 💖
WHY HASNT MCAVOY GOTTEN ANY RECOGNITION FOR ALMOST EVERY FILM HES BEEN IN?!?!?! THIS: ZERO RECOGNITION SPLIT: ZERO RECOGNITION LIKE WTF HOLLYWOOD
he wasnt near as good in split as in Filth
Simply brilliant masterpiece. Actor and movie.
What a performance , James , bravo
McAvoy is a jewel, he looks now like 15 years younger than in the film. But look at him from 2:40 , where he speaks about becoming Bruce. Look at his face, its literally scary to see McAvoy become Bruce: this angry, rough face. 🤯 incredible
I love this film and it's one of my favourites now.
This movie made appreciate James McAvoy. Stellat talent
He's so freaking hot
My favorite holiday movie 🎄🎄🎄
In my opinion it's less "British" and a hell of a lot more Scottish folk north of the border wouldn't dare to some of the stuff in this film
That Makeup Mermaid and scotland isnt in britain of course
@@ara-pf5zx Wtf are you on about, Scotland is part of Britain..
@@barneyy6942 To be fair Scotland is part of Britain whether they like it or not, they should grow up & accept that fact
There was a movie called Scum with Ray Winstone that was graphic, both in its sexual content with male on male assaults, I am pretty sure someone gets a pool cue shoved in his @ss at one point, but the Brits can make a film just as brutal as anyone
Omg I forgot he was in Narnia
My childhood hero
Dark humour. This movie embodied it. Very few good movies like this.
0:44 :'D
This is one of my all time favorite films, but I also have plenty of friends that I know would hate it. Goal achieved. 🤷👍
So the film was absolutely a success but it didn't come out in France. Well, fuck my country and its "good-way-to-think"
Fuck my country (Turkey)
At least you guys stand against the robbery of goverment
The Oscar does not deserve James Mcavoy
I can watch him talking all day just to staring at that beautiful face.. He's always so attractive and charming..
James can very easily manipulate the audience as Professor Xavier in X-Men😋 See what i did there
This movies on my top 10 list of favorite movies of all time, but I have to disagree with James M, I think all humans are forgivable, it’s self righteous to think that we are forgivable but others are not
The whole time I read this I had Robert Carlyle in mind
I believe that Begbie (from Trainspotting) shows up in the novel
it's such a great movie.
I first saw the burping part of this video as a meme on Tumblr. I have to say that watching the real thing was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a throaty "URRRPPP" ;)
the fuck..
He called the movie "British"; the catholics will soon be rioting (!) 😂
A film that made me think.
Tbh I actually changed the way I think. I mean, Bruce was right...
@neutron star even later to the party, but if you two think Bruce was right about anything then you're two scary scary individuals lol
My fav movie !
A classic Borderline example, love it.
how sick!
Best book ever and the film is almost as good
This movie drives me crazy and it's kinda funny tho
totally sounded like he said hobophobia. fear of homeless people? heh, we have that where I live. transients are spreading Hep A
What he said in 3:00-3:10? He actually laught about it.
He's saying he felt easier doing filth than he did doing Trance with Danny Boyle, then he says "name drop"
STlTCHlZ Thank you.
+STlTCHlZ what does name drop mean?
姚澜 It means when you show off by mentioning a famous person you know.
+STlTCHlZ aha I got it. Thank you. He is so, what is it called, quick-witty ? haha
I just discover that he looks like someone i know.
lucky you! ;-)
That was creepy. I did too.
Stella Woop Me three! I think it's the whole very pale complexion, blue eyes and red lips thing. Funny cuz now I've had a boss that looks like Edward Norton, and another that...well, is older than James McAvoy, so actually James McAvoy looks like him....only younger.
LI Li me too m8
Hướng dẫn các bài xuân đi ạ!
LOOK BACAHNAL !
He doesn't have the right face for it, doesn't look like a total bastard.
+cucking funt ?? Have you even seen the movie? He looks whoa different
so apparently James McAvoy cares about sexism and misogyny and the rest but not demonizing and fetishizing mental illnesses i.e: the film "Split" which was a full length atrocity and mockery of people whom suffer with dissociative identity disorder
Never actually seen Split, how does he do that?
m a c ! He’s really good in that movie
the drunken ramblings north east UK Yes but he did it to the affective of saying your trauma makes you a stronger person not to say that makes it better
No, it's not.
Good movie.
