I really wish that we could have competent locally produced firearms so that we won't have to rely on foreign imports.
Edit: I know that we have local manufacturers, what I mean is that they are up to standards to the military, I've heard that most of the local firearms production qualities are very bad and malfunctions are frequent when used. That is why I said competent locally produced firearms, cause I know we have local brands like UDMC and Armscor but they don't meet the standards of the military.

There are local firms such as United Defense Manufacturing Corporation (UDMC) and Armscor that make such products, but IIRC, they have limited sales to the government as their products do not meet the standards of the military.

The HK416 is already in their inventory, it could be seen using by Harold Cabunoc and i think only higher rank or special forces unit can use it. So is the HK417 but only a few amount of it, i don't know what special forces unit use them but my bet is on the MARSOG or SR and LRR
@@onenudesman4999 MARSOG & LRR has HK416 but needs to replace good ol M4 & CAR-15 Assault Rifles. Then, HK417 for SR-25.

I hope you do a update on the MI-17 Helicopter since it was cancelled by the DND for fear of US sanctions like what heavy lift Helicopter will the Philippines buying now.
I think most of it wasn't because of sanctions (though it does have a part in it) I think that the government is just antsy that Russia couldn't deliver what it promised
It seems security is not the main priority of this new admin.Even NSC personel are in turmoil with new dubious faces coming into the organization. Petitions papers are currently going around to block certain appointments which intelligence community find not fit to have access to sensitive national security materials.

That's a very low count. The ARMY has over 100k active personnel.
I feel like the ARMY always gets the short end of the stick out of the 3 AFP branches.
Hopefully the government will also start acquiring a scope for the service rifles for infantry not just for special operations group. So the troops can shoot more accurately.

It could be more expensive maybe. But full auto isn’t really needed even in a fighting rifle cause of its in accuracy and kinda a waste of ammo.

Taurus has some pretty poor quality control in recent years. I hope they upped their quality when making these guns as they could fail the soldiers when they need it most to protect their lives
Why not produce the Pneumatic Valve And Rod F6 Assault Rifle by UDMC? It's made here in the Philippines so why not make use of this weapon which is SUPERIOR even to THIS WEAPON & even foreign mercenaries who've used it say so so WHY AREN'T WE USING the PVAR?
