If it weren't for how associated Sans is with Megalovania now, Toby probably would have used it in Sword and Shield. Before Undertale, it was in practically every soundtrack he worked on. Megalovania isn't even Sans' theme, It's 'sans.' his battle theme is 'Song that might play when you fight Sans,' however, this song was never used because Sans was essential to have in neutral endings and genocide themes tend to use different leitmotifs from the ones that actually represent the characters in neutral and pacifist.
I still hold a tiny grasp of hope that he manages to slide it into Pokemon Scarlet/Violet since they got him to do more music for the game this time lol
Megalovania was made first for Dr. Andonuts in the Earthbound Halloween Hack, and then he used it again in Homestuck and his other Earthbound fanhack, Cognitive Dissonance. It's kind of just his "final boss" theme.

Or Toby can do something without it relating to Megalovania. As much as i love Megalovania. Everything he makes a track for doesn't need to include it.
I have an idea for Sans’ team! Papyrus pushes Sans to get a Pokémon, so he goes to the professor, Alphys, who gives Sans one of the Sinnoh Starters. Sans chooses Turtwig. Sans goes on to find a Cubone. It’s wearing a gaster blaster skull and everything, so Sans catches it. Turtwig evolves into Grotle, which Sans now rides on. Grotle helps him catch a Snorlax blocking Waterfall. He takes on the 1st and 2nd gym, and then his Cubone becomes a regular Marowak. He battles the 3rd gym leader, who gives him an Eevee egg that hatches after he beat the 4th gym leader. Grotle evolved into Torterra, which gives Sans some company. Sans catches a Buneary, to trade it to his bro for a Charizard with a Charizardite X. He also catches a Leavanny and beats the 5th gym. Sans gets an Oshawott and a Minchinno, while the Eevee Eevolves (get it?) into Umbreon. Oshawott evolves into Dewott and then Samurott, while the 6th and 7th gym leaders get destroyed. Evolving his Minchinno into a Cincchino, he faces 8th gym leader, Chara. Megalovania, Chara’s theme, starts to play. Sans catches a Nincada to replace Snorlax, and trains his Nincada to be a Shedinja. He takes on the Elite four and the champion with this team. Torterra Level 100 Cincchino Level 90 Leavanny Level 55 Samurott Level 99 Shedinja Level 1 Charizard Level 100 Sans left Snorlax and Marowak in the PC and beat the champion. But got beaten by Annoying Dog.
I want a Undertale game that’s themed around Pokémon (Or vise versa) So like as Frisk you capture the normal enemy’s as Pokémon, and the Boss monsters are gym leaders or somethin’ And if you purposely walk around battling every wild encounter and fainting them all (capturing is like sparing) you can get genocide bosses, Undynes Pokémon are harder and Neo has 1 weak one hit Pokémon. You also battle sans in the genocide run I guess,
*You are challenged by trainer Sans* *You send out Pikachu* *Trainer Sans sends out Shedinja* *Pinkachi unsee thunderbolt* *Shedinja held on with its Sturdy!* “What? You thought my Pokémon was gonna stand there and take it?”
All his pokemon have wonder guard, even though they shouldn't. For a secret ability, _"shuffle"_ Causes the pokemon to be automatically swapped with another in the party at random after a single turn. All pokemon on his team would have different types, and know a variety of moves to absolutely wreck shop.
@@vestutea256 Just to be sure, I lifted the bulbapedia entry: Wonder Guard makes the Pokémon with this Ability immune to damaging moves that are not super effective. It does not prevent confusion damage. It does not affect status moves, such as Tail Whip or Poison Powder. It does not prevent any indirect damage, such as from burn, weather, recoil, and entry hazards. Wonder Guard prevents damage from moves that deal direct damage, as long as they are not a type that is super effective against the Pokémon with this Ability. For example, Shedinja with Wonder Guard is immune to Counter and Psywave, but not Night Shade. Wonder Guard does not affect Struggle. Prior to Generation V, Wonder Guard does not affect Beat Up, Future Sight, or Doom Desire. In Generation IV only, Fire Fang is able to hit through Wonder Guard, even if the target does not have a weakness to Fire-type moves, due to a presumed glitch. Role Play fails if the target has the Ability Wonder Guard. Skill Swap fails if either Pokémon has Wonder Guard. Wonder Guard cannot be copied by Power of Alchemy or Receiver. Wonder Guard can be bypassed by a Pokémon with Mold Breaker, Teravolt, or Turboblaze. It can also be bypassed by the moves Moongeist Beam and Sunsteel Strike. Wandering Spirit will not swap Abilities with Wonder Guard either.
i wonder what could have happened in a *pokemon game* for sans to want to fight you, since it took nearly the annihilation of an entire race for him in order to finally step up to the plate in undertale.

I always pictured him with a single Cubone, and it's got a special ability. It's essentially able to dodge every move, but eventually will be hit, no matter what. It's like a slow-acting No Guard. I believe Sans functionally (as in, the attack that triggers his attack before Literally Nothing) dodges around 23/24 times, so we'll go with 24. It would be a fight where the Cubone would have maximum speed, and only 1 attack as well. It's also got only 1 defence, and its ability makes it so moves such as False Swipe still kill it. The Cubone's ability would also let it so that all attacks attack multiple times, but that they all only do 1 damage, and move animations only play once. You'd also only be allowed one Pokémon, but it must be around HP 90 or so. Since you could only have one Pokémon, that button would be replaced with a button that has essentially the same functionality as the Act button in Undertale. You could easily fight and wear down the Cubone, but since Pokémon is more focused on fighting, you'd also be able to talk your way out of it. You'd also only be able to access this fight after the postgame. This is the true final fight, after all. Let me know of amendments I should make!

Also has access to Bone rush and Skull bash for higher coverage(and because Sans) and Destiny bond as a last ditch move. Oh, and also it has stat boosting moves like double team/minimize, swords dance, agility etc and weather changing moves like sunny day to get rid of hail and sandstorm for some extra salt. *BAD TIME INTENSIFIES*
@@k8rgrl that's why I gave it a 145 base speed with double team, that way you can either choose to sweep right away or you can stall with double team. And if you're not confident of either option, you can always go for U turn while at the same time get some good chip damage. Either way, your opponent won't be able to hit you. And in case you're against a faster opponent, there's the option of priority moves like STAB Shadow sneak or Espeed, which is more than enough to take down mons like Deoxys A. Although now that I think about it, minimize is a much better option than double team lol
Just reread this comment and I thought of a new strategy. You can send out Shedninja early and safely use one turn by setting up swords dance/agility/minimize with wonder guard active, while you're opponent sets up their rocks or sticky webs. By that time, the only logical option for your opponent is to switch out with a mon suitable to take down your Shedninja, but by that time, you can go mega and switch out with u-turn, and then use Shedninja as a late game sweeper. And you don't even have to worry about the rocks your opponent set up thanks to Levitate. The only way to stop you now would be to somehow use trick room or switch into bulky Wobuffet, and both of them are extremely risky. The only way I can think of to counter this strategy entirely would be to lead with something like Mega Gengar or Lunala, but that's very unlikely, since they can't set up entry hazards.

When your little brother deletes your Pokemon save file
Torterra Level 100
Cincchino Level 90
Leavanny Level 55
Samurott Level 99
Shedinja Level 1
Charizard Level 100
Sans left Snorlax and Marowak in the PC and beat the champion. But got beaten by Annoying Dog.

Shivani Joshi hello :D
I want a Undertale game that’s themed around Pokémon (Or vise versa) So like as Frisk you capture the normal enemy’s as Pokémon, and the Boss monsters are gym leaders or somethin’
And if you purposely walk around battling every wild encounter and fainting them all (capturing is like sparing) you can get genocide bosses, Undynes Pokémon are harder and Neo has 1 weak one hit Pokémon. You also battle sans in the genocide run I guess,

@@vestutea256
Cool, but that won't stop a water type with wonder guard, because wonder guard prevents all damage dealt without type advantage.
@@vestutea256
Just to be sure, I lifted the bulbapedia entry:
Wonder Guard makes the Pokémon with this Ability immune to damaging moves that are not super effective.

I don't think I've ever heard a remix that used multiple different soundfonts at the same time... this is revolutionary!
YALL KNOW EXACTLY WHY WE'RE HERE

Mihir Kulkarni but... nothing stops you from hitting it
@@k8rgrl that's why I gave it a 145 base speed with double team, that way you can either choose to sweep right away or you can stall with double team.
Although now that I think about it,
minimize is a much better option than double team lol
I like to believe that his singular Pokémon is Mega Charizard X
