I thought the same! But there were a few differences here :) Diavolo had DID, he was two entirely different people in one body. When they switched, they didn't have memories of what happened. This dude on the other hand is just a bad person who actually shows his bad side.
What was the guard supposed to do? Even if the defendant screams "I am the killer" it means nothing in court. Discussions between the client and their lawyer are confidential. Any admission in this case can't be used as evidence. The only thing the guard did wrong is allow Engarde to have a glass and drink on him.
"Justice for All" may be boring and has uninterest cases, but we all know that the whole game was made for this final case. It's fantastic. And I like this moment very much.
In my opinion it's probably the best case in the entire series (that I've played). The way it turns the usual structure of a case upside down is genius. The final puzzle is still bovine faeces, though. There's a dozen different permutations of evidence pairs you could pick to get you out of that situation...
i loved this reveal "how do you do mister lawyer dude? I'm matt engarde." It was like meeting a whole different guy! Such a badass way to do the reveal
Ana Savić - Lukić They have discovered his true face and identity, but they will never locate him. Discovering his appearance isn’t a big deal because he will have a successor and that won’t matter
Ngl this twist was really good. He looked like an adorable cinnamon roll and then he ends up to be a major jerk
guard: I will pretend I did not hear that
Fun fact : He was blackmailing the guard aswell reason why he a glass of wine in his hand.
You know how easy these games would be if the guard would just speak up?
Not gonna lie, I thought Matt was pretty cute before his reveal.
That’s probably how he operates. He puts on a cute, innocent front to hide his true nature.
@@violethelianthus1436 That was pretty much indicated when we found out about him and Celeste.
i don’t blame you
I thought like “hes too babey to do that”
Matt Engarde's reveal reminded me of Diavolo's reveal for some reason
same
how
@@The-cs7us he goes from what is basically an innocent little boy to ruthless man who cares not for anyone but himself

It could have taken inspiration but who knows
Aw, he's adora-
*reveals self*
Oh god he's hot..I MEAN WHAT!?
Still curiosity how the guard didn't hear.
The real mystery is how does he still have that job lmao.
Sleeping on the job? XD
I think he's just a cardboard cutout.

JFA made it's serious moments really serious especially the Announce The Truth 2002 theme.
So ironic that the game with the worst case is also the game that has the best case.
Justice for all is actually my favorite game in the series
I nearly busted a git laughing when he pulled a brandy glass out of hammerspace
When I was playing I literally just about shat my pants at this moments, I believe my words were "oh shit"
How do you do...
Mr.Lawyer?
I'm Matt Engarde.
I’m surprised that he was able to hide that scar for so long.
When I 1st played it and I descoverd it I was really shocked. Especially his face reveal.
what really shocks me is that Engarde is actually younger than me. when did he get the time to grow into such an evil mastermind ?
+energiesoler I think the right question is where the heck did he get this glass of wine?
Drizzy D probably from the same place Andrews got her unlimited pairs of glasses
+Feil Aikie you mean right eye :)
Phoenix finished his second case 2 weeks ago.
+Andre Suazo Ikr?

A bipolar man !!!!

*/BEGONE MONSTER YOU DONT BELONG IN THIS WORLD/*
A miserable little pile of secrets!
The first witness you think is innocent but is technically a real murderer all along!
I'm wondering how the hell he smuggled that alcohol and wineglass in prison, and why that prison guard isn't doing anything lol.
Me before: hey this dude seems cool! It couldn't have been him! I gotta get him an innocent verdict.
Me after: Get this sleezeball out of my face.
His brandy be looking like chocolate milk

Heel turn!
taimak123 Not really; he never was a face to begin with.
Matt was Randy Orton all along. You think he's a face but when he "turns", you realize he wasn't a face at all
So andross, you show your true form
You'll never see it COMIIIIIIING
I mean this guy was a real jerk
Matt Engarde revealed looks like manfred von karma.
Matt Engarde is like Diavolo. Both consult with himself and has double personality.
10 ten anime betrayals
Its more of a reveal than a betrayal.
But if you take him betraying De killer into notice then I guess so.
he was totally hot anime character
I wish they watched the video, and got Shelly De Killer arrested.
Edward The Good UA-camr They are trying but he is way to powerful
Ana Savić - Lukić They have discovered his true face and identity, but they will never locate him. Discovering his appearance isn’t a big deal because he will have a successor and that won’t matter
Shelly De killer was one of the good guys in my eyes. Even though he captured maya
9:12
I hate how that literally described me in not just this game, but others too.
I kinda hate the magatama moments and all the psyche locks events

at 3:23 there's a health bar. I thought this was only in court. What happens when it all runs out?
have you even played ace attorney
@@o_0yt I played jfa recently but at the time of that comment I had only played apollo justice and the original game.
That bar isn’t a health bar, it’s a “risk” bar (iirc). It looks different for each game and sometimes each platform
@@o_0yt ohhh ok
Was curious myself, so I tried to make the bar run out and if it does you will just stop, you cam try again but your health will only have one chance.
