Great work! I was never into the ARG, but I think the Valenzetti explanation still fits with the fact that the Numbers relate to the final Candidates. To me, the Numbers always seemed to be exactly what they appear to be on a meta level - a sign from some greater force that our characters are on the right path. For us, that's the creators of the show inserting them during pivotal moments to make sure we're all paying attention to the dialogue as well as the visuals. Within the show's universe, it's... the island? Destiny itself? I love your observation and analysis of the final scene from "Numbers", and how it involves us as an active part of the show, receiving information that none of the characters have.
Neat detail about the lute and musicians. I'm fond of the theory that the "musician" who set the code for the Looking Glass may have been Daniel Faraday in the 70s
Thanks as always, I have lots of respect and appreciation for small creators that consistently put out high quality content. This channel most def fits in that category. Anyway, this is prob my favorite episode of season 6. It really got my hopes up, back in the day watching this live, that season 6 will be amazing for sure...even if the previous episode was very mid and I wasn't really vibeing with the flash sideways. Sadly, for me, it didn't turn out that way and in the end season 6 was my least favorite. Far from bad of course and plenty of great stuff in there, but still the weakest of the seasons for me.
Thank you for this video! I am so sick of everyone fussing over the numbers never being explained or given a 'simple explanation' like the whispers. The whispers did kind of feel like oh okay that's it I guess. It feels underwhelming when given a simple explanation. It's better when it's not like the force in Star Wars or the source of the heart of the island or smokey in LOST. I like that the numbers can still be analyzed and scrutinized to this day! And 14 years after the finale I still do critical thinking on this show every day! Simple easy to digest answers would never have that effect on me!
Hey Christian! Another great video. I always felt that the numbers were sort of a hook to keep is plugged in, to find out what the numbers were, but didn't really have a meaning. I like your theory better, tho!
Thanks a lot. No, not really. I will still make LOST videos, but more occasionally and perhaps more focused on specific subjects. In my experience, people have enjoyed those quite a bit on my channel. I don't think I will do a weekly run anymore.
I "love" Damon Lindelof's joke about midi-chlorians. Like, "Yes David, actually it was an interesting take on the myths of Star Wars - unlike you movie."
The obvious explaination is that it has to do with Jacob being dead, i agree it's hard to understand why but it's just like the water of the temple being unclear, it's hard to pinpoint exactly the technicalities it just parts of the world rule we're in. Jacob being dead created a balance shift in the heart of the island and Smokey is linked to that so he lost an ability. I also think it's a kind of "forshadowing" (or hint) that the only way to beat smokey is to deactivate the island's magic power so he can be limited and more like a human.
Babe wake up, he uploaded
Babe what’s wrong, you’ve barely touched your fish biscuits
That ending scene in 'Numbers' with the Hatch was the moment I truly fell in love with Lost
Yeah as a fallout fan i was like WHAT

Thanks again for all the great insight. More and more UA-camrs are counting on crazy sound effects, I very much appreciate your work.
Absolutely love the map btw, been trying to catch up with your vids.
Just recently found your channel. The visuals are so good.

I always thought the numbers were numerical embodiment of predeterminism. Because of the time travel / time loop, leading up to the world being saved.
Loving this and can't wait to see your takes about the names.
Wow Great info!!!
Looking forward for next video.
Wonderful video! Thanks, man.
26:30 The same as red flowers on island 🤔

Yes! New video - nice! :)
I love your videos! Do you have any plans once you're done with season 6?

I had no idea the ABC Studios logo used the numbers!
4-Locke, 8-reyes, 15-ford 16-jarrah, 23-Shephard 42-kwon
11:03 ‘Nazis used the island’ that wouldve been interesting
I just don’t get why he’s “stuck like this” in the form of John Locke. He changes multiple times from Christian Shepard in prior seasons

They are a bunch of random numbers the writers threw in one day and then had to make a story around
The numbers mason what do they mean
Do you watch FROM?
Yes, I love the show :)
I've heard these numbers are bad
