I really prefer this song to Gypsy in Me. Although I may be biased since I sang this instead, LMAO. Playing Evelyn was one of the highlights of my theatre career so far! Such a great part.

The joy of playing Evelyn is that you can play him as this dyed-in-the-wool character who doesn't even get to sing -- until your one big number. With Reno Sweeney, no less!

@singerinmotion There are several different versions of this musical. So no, regardless if you played Reno or not, it's clear you wouldn't "no". This song takes the place of "Gypsy in Me".

ugh i like Gypsy in Me much much better .. personally dislike the 1962 version of Anything Goes
