What do they call it in the technical world ?
@@dorothyjoel3839 Like I was doing data cataloging but I didn't know this particular process called cataloging. I was following the same approach but they called it building lineage. also in Technical filed you will hear line of business word but in function you will hear it as divisions. so meaning is same but terminologies are different!
Data element are reservered to business concepts, for example Customer Identifier. Columns in Tables are called Data Attributes.

Are there Data Governance Tools to use on OpenSource basis, as i see Collibra a licensed tool
which software is used or where and how this metadata is stored can you explain
some org use Collibra but there are many such as Informatica, adaptive, solidatus etc...
