I've watched a few of Lambiel's post competition skates, and I think he skates with every part of him being lost in the music. Very expressive and beautifully choeographed.
What he did at the "no sweeter innocence" line...that was so powerful. My immediate instinct with that part would be to go soft and gentle like the song, but in making that powerful fast move, he really asserted the truth of the song. At least, that's how it felt to me.

I really love how he is still able to retain a masculine feel despite such graceful flowing movements. Lots of male figure skaters mimic feminine posture and movements because they typically score higher and look aesthetically better, but it takes real skill to pull off a consistently masculine feel throughout the performance and still look extremely aesthetically pleasing. Manly figure skaters... yum.
Those who writes in comments that Stéphane is gay, how do you know it? He never presented himself as such, gays show it openly, if Stéph were gay it would be ok for me but in reality he likes women, remember his relationship with Carolina Costner, it's boring to read that a delicate and sensitive man is considered gay, as if men did not have the right to be hypersensitive and delicate.
