Fifty three Chevy the same year I was born, the more you look at this car it is really done right, first off the colors are killer and the wheels just look like they belong there, great motor choice, the interior lacks nothing it’s definitely a winner!!
Absolutely the sharpest 53 I've seen, and remember seeing them daily as a little boy! Back then tho, they were usually green, brown, black or the light turquoise .... DEF nothing like this! I wonder what GM engineers and executives would say if they coukd jump ahead in time and see this one?!! Again, the pics of the undercarriage says it all when it comes to detail and quality of workmanship .... the even spacing of exhaust etc. Absolutely a fantastic restoration and build. And Mr Grams says it well, that this car is a bargain at this price. Great job everybody!
@@gieb6428 I think one of the most popular cars and colors of that year. Even as a kid, I loved the 53 model, and then the 54. I remember in 54, a 'rich farmer down the road had a son (spoiled rich kid) lol .... He ordered a new Corvette in blue, with the standard tan interior. I was 5 then, and recall flagging him down one day to let me see it. Great memories of childhood, and I've never lost my love for cars. If I was well-off enough, I'd own a barn full of those beautiful old classics. In about the mid-60s, I heard that a young man from a nearby town kept showing up at the 'rich kids' door, now married with a family .... He kept pestering the owner to sell it to him. Covered up with a heavy green canvas tarp for years, the owner finally said, "Young man, if it'll make you stop pestering me, you go home, bring me $800 cash and a trailer, and it's yours ". The young man came that afternoon and hauled it home. (This is a true story).

Love it , in the sixties my brother had a green one, great car and we used to get the horses up to ride with it, run them around the field 2 times and they'd go right into the corral. 🤩

Beautiful car. I didn't know Chevy made 1953 Bel Air model. I mostly saw post sedan's 2 dr + 4 dr models. Me born in 1951, I remember next dr was 54 convertible
My Grandfather owned a 1954 Chrysler Imperial 2 Door that he called "The Machine." This Car resembles the Chrysler, except it appears to be a little smaller.
I would not dare buy that car. My wife would kill me if I tried. While I was in Vietnam my brother sold her a 53 Chevy wagon that ended up in a ditch, full of kids, at night, in the middle of a Wisconsin winter. Yeah, she would have a fit. The woman is 75 years old and she has never forgotten that incident, or forgiven that car.
Question, where can we bring these cars when they need work ? Like oil change, tires, does not start, tune ups, etc. Where can we go for this service or go back to you ? Thank you sir. Looks awesome!
You could probably find some local mechanics that would work on it. Especially a vehicle like this one that had a much more modern Corvette engine put in, you could probably have a Chevrolet dealer service. We have 4 full time mechanics that go through all our vehicles when they come in & before they leave. We don't have the capacity to offer mechanical services after a vehicle sells.

Those 53 hard-top cars look absolutely killer painted bright red. That car is a perfect candidate to be repainted bright red even though it looks to have really nice paint on it now. Only problem is if it were repainted (done right) it would probably cost 20 grand to do so.
