Only 1,575 miles on a rotisserie restoration. The exterior is the best of the best, the interior is very well done, and the motor compartment is very neatly upgraded. This is a drive anywhere car. It has the modern features that make it reliable and comfortable.
EXTERIOR: Outstanding fit and finish! Very handsome, well rounded pillarless hardtop. Every inch is laser straight. No rust, damage, or issues. All the panels fit square and flush. The Sunset Orange paint is polished like glass. I think the satin black roof adds great contrast. All new tinted glass. All the chrome was replated, stainless trim was polished. 17 inch chrome Cragar Street Pro wheels.
INTERIOR: Dynamat sound deadener was laid down. All new Painless wiring system. High quality reproduction Lebaron Bonney upholstery was used on the door panels and seats. The metal trim is painted satin black. All the chrome trim is excellent. Custom billet instrument panel with white face gauges. A custom lower panel was neatly incorporated and houses the a/c controls and vents. Custom wheel on a tilt column. Down on the floor is new carpet and embroidered mats. Seatbelts front and back. New headliner with Bel Air chrome ribs. It has a retro stereo system.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded with a modern Corvette LT1 350 fuel injected motor. It has a set of ceramic headers. It's dressed up with finned aluminum valve covers, breathers and plug wire holders. The front of the motor has a serpentine belt system, polished alternator and polished a/c compressor. The fuel, heater hoses and a/c lines are all braided stainless. It's a very neat and tidy engine compartment. The installation was carefully and thoughtfully done. The firewall has been made smooth, the metal is painted nicely, wires and hoses are run neatly. Vintage Air keeps the passengers cool; a Walker radiator and electric fan keeps it running cool. It also features power steering, upgraded electric wipers and new horns.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal all painted body color. Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. The battery is relocated to the trunk. The rubber mat is splitting.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and flipped on it's side. No rust, clean floors with a thin layer of undercoating. TCI Mustang ll type front end. It has tubular control arms, coil over shocks, swaybar, rack and pinion steering. Rear springs, bushings and shocks were replaced. New fuel system. Stainless exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Custom brake system: the power booster is under the car, has disc at all 4 wheels has a new e-brake assembly. Bottom of the motor is clean, has a high torque starter. 4L60 overdrive automatic trans. A rebuilt driveshaft connects to the rear with 3.42 posi gears.
Tasteful and thoughtful custom build. The attention to details and pride in the work is obvious. Someone will be getting a very nice car, will it be you?
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

Back in 1972? I was 15 and I found this 1953 2 door Belair on some used car lot. It was OK but not "my" idea of OK. 4 years later on (1975/1976?) It's now got a straight axle, fender well headers, a L-88 taken out of a wrecked vette along with its 400 turbo transmission. I campaigned the crap out of that 53 chevy all over the northwest! I had this "specialist" Dave Dehanick "modify" the heads of the L-88 and added long tubed headers, a lenco 2 speed rear gear. just a bunch of parts that took forever to get all synced up and in smooth running order! I loved that car. I miss that car! Mine was the 210 "post" model. Decent asking price!
Fifty three Chevy the same year I was born, the more you look at this car it is really done right, first off the colors are killer and the wheels just look like they belong there, great motor choice, the interior lacks nothing it’s definitely a winner!!
I was born in 53 also, I think this is the coolest 53 I have seen. I'm not a Corvette fan.
ME TOO
Same here, the year the Corvette took flight.
It's a shame you can't buy it for what it sold for in 1953. Just add several more zeros and your golden.
The nicest ‘53 restomod BelAir I’ve seen 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Nice to see something other than a tri-five.
😎👍
Or another Camero.
What’s a tri five?
I had two of these '53 Bel Airs in the late '60s , the first one was very nice, light green with a dark green top. I've never seen one this nice.
Absolutely the sharpest 53 I've seen, and remember seeing them daily as a little boy! Back then tho, they were usually green, brown, black or the light turquoise .... DEF nothing like this! I wonder what GM engineers and executives would say if they coukd jump ahead in time and see this one?!! Again, the pics of the undercarriage says it all when it comes to detail and quality of workmanship .... the even spacing of exhaust etc. Absolutely a fantastic restoration and build. And Mr Grams says it well, that this car is a bargain at this price. Great job everybody!
In the fifties my step father had the turquoise. It was sharp
@@gieb6428 I think one of the most popular cars and colors of that year. Even as a kid, I loved the 53 model, and then the 54. I remember in 54, a 'rich farmer down the road had a son (spoiled rich kid) lol .... He ordered a new Corvette in blue, with the standard tan interior. I was 5 then, and recall flagging him down one day to let me see it. Great memories of childhood, and I've never lost my love for cars. If I was well-off enough, I'd own a barn full of those beautiful old classics. In about the mid-60s, I heard that a young man from a nearby town kept showing up at the 'rich kids' door, now married with a family .... He kept pestering the owner to sell it to him. Covered up with a heavy green canvas tarp for years, the owner finally said, "Young man, if it'll make you stop pestering me, you go home, bring me $800 cash and a trailer, and it's yours ". The young man came that afternoon and hauled it home. (This is a true story).
NICE, VERY NICE, THE PAINT COMBO IS AWESOME,TINT PERFECT MATCH, THE VETTE ENGINE, IS SIMPLY AWESOME.
“Slip and Slide with PowerGlide”!! Loved driving them and making it kick down into First Gear!
Been awhile since I've heard that phrase!
OMG I have already commented on various vids of my love of these 50’s classically sculptured machines 🥰. My first car when a 17yrs old excited Scots girl was a gorgeous two tone blue 57 GM - Vauxhall Wyvern. Now at the age of 76 I wish I still had it 😭
Love it , in the sixties my brother had a green one, great car and we used to get the horses up to ride with it, run them around the field 2 times and they'd go right into the corral. 🤩
A lot of old American cars are so long, but this is a good size and I like how chunky it is, kind of like the mercury coupe
Man that's the most beautiful 53 Chevy I've ever seen ! Wish I had the $ to make her mine ! 👍
Absolutely beautiful, Congratulations to all the team on 70K well deserved, we enjoy watching your channel and cars, I know you would like me to buy them, but I've been talking with Jay, just about cashed up, just need a little more, then we can move on something, as I gotta come meet you guys, will make and awesome video, USA to Tasmania Australia The Real Down Under 🤫😂🤣
Have a great weekend coming cheers🍻🍺 KC 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍
I'm waiting for you to send me a Tasmanian Devil. The one that spins around like a Tornado and makes crazy sound as it's talking just like in the Cartoons from the 1960's.
Nice car, great lines, good colors... I like it !
Never been a 53 fan, but this is an exceptionally good-looking car!
It really was sharp! 😎
Beautiful '53 ....... 👍👍🙂
Fantastic paint color on it! 🤩
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales 👍
Jay - Outstanding car!! Wish I could afford since I was born in 1953. You give the best in the industry review of this car and all you preview on videos. Keep up the great work!!!!
Thanks John! 😁
My mom had a powder blue 53 she loved it my dad was a truck guy he didn't drive it much😂
ID BE INTERESTED IN THIS RIDE NICELY DONE GREAT COLORS EXTERIOR / INTERIOR 👍CurtisJordan
If they looked this awesome at the dealership back then Chevy'd have sold a Billion of'em
🤔 What if they bring it back now? hmmm...
The first car I remember was my Dad's 1953 210 hardtop. I didn't realize it was a 210 until I watched an old 8mm film.
Not a Retro Mod fan but this is an exception! Done right!
The best restored i have encountered thus far, great job
Thanks!
not original
@@stevenrobert8567It’s not supposed to be. It’s a very classy restomod.
"ALL LED SLEDS ARE NOT LOWRIDERS"❣️👍
👍
We had a 1953 Green and Cream White when I was a young child.
She sure is a beauty I remember my uncle had one back in the day when I was a youngster it was black with black interior sure was shiny though
BEAUTIFUL OLD SCHOOL CAR...
Born the same year as the Corvette and Playboy magazine. That's a good thing.
Every time you back out of that garage I think you’re going to smack the front left fender on the door frame. Lol.
yet too happen! 🤫
Me to! I have commmente3d on that before! One can only imagine if he was to hook a bumper or fender on one of these amazing and great cars!
Beautiful car. I didn't know Chevy made 1953 Bel Air model. I mostly saw post sedan's 2 dr + 4 dr models. Me born in 1951, I remember next dr was 54 convertible
Sweet car
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers! 😍
Best 1953 Chevy EVER.
Very sharp looking car
Thats a nice looking car. I was honestly expecting it to be more than 63k.
i bought my first 53 bel air for $25. the toronto police towed it away of course on a rainy cold night .
I really miss the cars of the 50’s. I owned a ‘54 Plymouth. It was my 2nd. Car. I really wish they never did away with the Wing Windows.
OMG th Damsel….so beautiful….cute….nice….
My Grandparents had one of them, of course it had 6cyl. with a Auto. Black with a white top.
Beautiful 53 Chevrolet….
Gorgeous '53
i want it! All I have to do is convince my wife it is worth the asking price. Mission impossible.
Good luck!! 😜🙏
Hermoso.........beautiful 😀👍
You know I WANT IT !
Great Video & Amazing Car
Thank you! 😃👍
In Canada, the Bel Air, was also called a Pontiac Laurentian, and wasn't a U.S Pontiac.
Beautiful car. If I was going to blow my retirement on a car, this would be the one.
It would be a good choice! 😍
My Grandfather owned a 1954 Chrysler Imperial 2 Door that he called "The Machine." This Car resembles the Chrysler, except it appears to be a little smaller.
Hermoso carro.
Awesome!
Thanks!
the chasei is real mai frend very goond jobe
My first Chevy.
I just love that chevy 🤟 looks like my first car chevy bel air 1954 powerglide, beautiful gourgeus stunning 🦇 from the batcave thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum from tom your friend always 🤩 🤩

Beautiful car. Now you know why the 55 - 57 Chevys were called "shoe boxes."
The 49/50/51 Ford were the shoe boxrs
@@charliemcsorley6286 Nope!
From a Ford guy, nice car the top would look better white or silver !
😎👍
Awesome car bro❤ it
Nicer than new.
Question, where can we bring these cars when they need work ? Like oil change, tires, does not start, tune ups, etc. Where can we go for this service or go back to you ? Thank you sir. Looks awesome!
You could probably find some local mechanics that would work on it. Especially a vehicle like this one that had a much more modern Corvette engine put in, you could probably have a Chevrolet dealer service.
We have 4 full time mechanics that go through all our vehicles when they come in & before they leave. We don't have the capacity to offer mechanical services after a vehicle sells.
Be nice to see one just restored oniginal
We get em.
Better than a Mercedes Benz!
All of them or?
absolutely beautiful how much does this car costs in dollars
$64,000. Somebody should have oiled the trunk hinges.
fixed the weather strip on the door and straightened out the speedo. that being said very nice car.
And replace the trunk mat.
I had a 53 in high school, it was a tank and never let me sit.
Not like today's cars. 🙁
That is a custom car and should not be confused with original.
The days of the Two Tone paint job. Today that would be a $20,000 mark up
Easily that!!
wish it was truly restored
I would not dare buy that car. My wife would kill me if I tried. While I was in Vietnam my brother sold her a 53 Chevy wagon that ended up in a ditch, full of kids, at night, in the middle of a Wisconsin winter. Yeah, she would have a fit. The woman is 75 years old and she has never forgotten that incident, or forgiven that car.
My family had a new '53.
Próxima vez ..
Mostre só o carro.
❤😊❤😊❤
😍
Very Good!... #28 ✝ {10-7-2022}
$63,998.
Tiny Mustang II front end welded in then converted to 5 bolt was a cheap cop-out in my day. Chev S10 rear ends were not built for much torque input. - - - Show Car, not a Hot Rod.
In 1960 I assume your family was selling 1900s and 1920s cars?🤔🧐
Pretty much, the two brothers Bill & Greg started with mostly Model T & A.

@@VoloMuseumAutoSales ✊😁 What happened to the Graham Brothers?
It is a beautiful restomod but I would not call it restored. Restored means it was put back to factory specifications.
How about a price

Loved the car, but I earned a price without further salesmanship. A product like that sells itself. Should I watch another and not be disappointed by a lack of price?
Correct, no need for any salesmanship. All of our prices can always be found on our website.

It is a modified '53 Chevy . In 2953 no V-8 engine we're usted in any Chevy modelo .
Those 53 hard-top cars look absolutely killer painted bright red. That car is a perfect candidate to be repainted bright red even though it looks to have really nice paint on it now. Only problem is if it were repainted (done right) it would probably cost 20 grand to do so.
Easily 20k at a good shop!! 😲
That is one beautiful old Chevy , I saw a model just like this , same year , vet motor , I don’t think it had the suspenction up grades , but it looked very similar to this ! But the car was owned by a nice guy , and him and his neighbor was looking at it , and the owner and the neighbor , who was a cop , wanted to hhave the owner , take them for a ride , so they went inside , and some how the neighbor, who was the ,cop , got the keys , and was going for a short ride , so he got it started , and this was in a community, and he didn’t even make it out of this place , he was racing , lost control of the car and just missed a big thick sone wall , but didn’t miss this huge tree so he’s lost it , the car is heading towards this tree at a high rate of speed ,and it hit this tree on the passenger side going , sota sideways , and plowed into the tree just behind the behind the R/ wheel the driver shot across the ft seat , no belts , and slammed right at the front lower part bottom of the R door , and was killed , that second, and it crashed right up to top of the A pillar , it really totaled the car almost wrapped the frond end around the tree , but the cop stole the car , to take it for a joy ride , and never made it but just under 1000 feet , he could have killed some body , as he had lost control, of the car , and hit that tree !
Yo lo quiero fiamelo guan. Dala a many ok
Sir, Hello there, Good Day, share the asking ₹.... (IN INDIAN🇮🇳₹) ❤️🍲💐🆗🙏
My old man had a second hand 53 chevy 4dor until 1966. How embarrassing to ride in it. You could see the pavement through the floor and it smelled like hell. This video was great but the memories that were resurrected are unpleasant to say the least.
That sounds....uhhh, a little dangerous!! 😨
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales Ya' think ? He also drove me and my brother around in it after we waited an hour in that POS for him to come out of the tavern then he would put me in his lap and let me steer while he worked the pedals, what a guy.
nice care, the wheels gotta go though
I like to see some sidewall rubber. A 17 inch wheel looks OK on most classics?
You were doing ok 'til you rolled up the passenger window at 5:06. Noisy, apparently needed some help with your right hand. Issue is not that it needed some attention, but rather that you didn't mention it. Used car salesman.
I also noticed the speedometer was crooked. Tilted to the left a bit.
Nice but not period correct wheels!
Pawnwars Rick:
Okay. I'll give you$1500 for it. And I'm taking all the risk. It's almost 70 years old.
good one!! 🤣
Me replying to Pawnstars Rick:
Now I want $70k. And I want to take it for one last cruise down the strip too.
Might be a Bondo Bucket too.
@@myrtlelittle4130 yep. You should definitely check that out BEFORE purchase.
Speedometer is crooked .Trunk needs work.. Go the extra mile to make it perfect !! Then we'll talk.

Volvo cars are priced about 20% higher than most dealers for comparable quality. Many are on consignment. Buyer beware.
It's Volo, no Volvo.
We believe our cars are priced fairly & a lot of them don't seem to stay around long so...
Of our ~250 cars, less than 50 are on consignment, and are treated no different from our own cars.
Think I will wait till these vehicles become available with electric motors. It is coming, folks.
Their already being converted in Switzerland.. ive seen a 64 SS and 66 impala full electric with tesla Drive train.. battery pack under hood replaces engine.. nothing different than factory other factory drive train gone. Interiors are intact.. only LCD screen added
I believe we were offered a converted electric something, can't recall what it was, not too long ago.
