If you actually open a conversation with him before him reaching ground, he epigrammatically says: "I do not want to talk about this..." 😂 Indeed a great game.
This was one of the most foundational moments in my time gaming. I was 7, playing on my older brother’s friends’ x-box and I remember how dumbfounded and mystified I was when this wizard fell from the sky. I told everyone I knew 😂
Bro I have the same memory. I was about 11 years old. It was my dads game and I was playing it. This game was so mystifying and intriguing. Such eerie ethereal lore to this game now that I’ve grown up and looked into it more.

I forgot where but I seen somebody save him. They got under him and he wouldn't complete the fall because the player was underneath him. They then used slowfall on him and he lands fine. When talking to him, all he says is "I don't want to talk about it." 😂

I’ve played 1000s of hours of oblivion, Skyrim, and even some daggerfall. Never played morrowind till yesterday and I’m having a blast. I reloaded my save like 4 times to watch that guy fall over and over again. 10/10
I saved him using an item i made specifically for the occasion. Ring of slow fall 1 on target for 10 seconds for 100 feet. Spam it until he plops down and lives.
As an avid rpg fan born in 2002 I have to say morrowind is the best rpg I’ve played overall, and it still exists and can be played and enjoyed multiple times unlike other rpgs we have today where you don’t even own the game and the characters you put hours into and the world they exist in are constantly being ruined in updates. It stands the test of time and shows that heart and soul, good world building and fun mechanics in a game will always be more important that technical advancements that detract from more important aspects of role playing games.
it is a great game. I remember when I got jump scared by a rat on a road to next town during night time… And there was a Dinosaur looking thing eating something, i could only see barely through the fog. I didn’t disturbed it of course, I was eager to reach the next town asap lol….
Fun fact about this guy: His name is Tarhiel, referring to the UNC Tarheels. The dev team were Duke basketball fans, so they did this for a little fun. The tan cap and baby blue robe is to resemble the UNC mascot. There is even a sword in the game called Eltonbrand, after Elton Brand the Duke basketball player. I love Morrowind!
I actually went out of my way once to avoid that guy falling event in game until I was fast enough to run underneath him and save his life. Then he just stands there and doesn't have anything interesting to say, and you have to steal the scrolls off him instead of looting his corpse. Dude should have cast slowfall on his way down....makes the acrobatics boost so much less.... deadly, LoL!
@@MaxPower-ke5rq LoL! Yeah, that would work too...I might have even tried it once, and forgot about it. I haven't played Morrowind in awhile because my stupid new(ish) computer refuses to run it!
When that first happened, like most players, my dumbass went up, found the scroll aaaaaand proceeded to use it.... Once I self yeeted above the heavens, and midway through my descent... I realized I hadn't done my customary "quick save before doing absolutely anything in Morrowind" Tactic I'd had to adapt an hour into the game after having to start fresh due to getting stuck in a cave outside Seyda Neen.... So, the whole treck was accomplished again from Seyda Neen, hours beforehand...
I wonder if morrowind still holds up. I love it, but that might only be nostalgia. I swear this isnt meant creepy, but are any younger people enjoying this game for the first time?

As a game, Morrowinds MVP was the fog. Without it the map looks tiny.
Still, an awesome game.
I have a glitch in a certain mod where I enter my personal library and hear Tarheils screams
