The all-new 2025 Toyota 4Runner remains a rugged and capable off-roader, now built on Toyota’s tough TNGA-F global truck platform, shared with the Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Tundra, and Sequoia. This new platform enhances both durability and ride comfort, while allowing the 4Runner to tow up to 6,000 pounds.
The 4Runner offers two turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder powertrains, including the i-FORCE engine with 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is available on higher trims, delivering a combined output of up to 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, the most powerful ever for a 4Runner.
Available in 2WD, part-time 4WD, or full-time 4WD, the 4Runner features advanced off-road capabilities like the Multi-Terrain Select system, CRAWL Control, and an electronic locking rear differential on certain models. The new Trailhunter grade adds overlanding features, including ARB’s Old Man Emu shocks, a unique roof rack, and enhanced off-road protection.
The 2025 4Runner introduces a luxury Platinum grade, offering premium features such as heated second-row seats, a Head-Up Display, and exclusive black exterior styling. With nine available grades, including SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and the new Trailhunter and Platinum, the 4Runner continues to offer something for every adventure.
