The citric acid at the end is the first time I've seen anyone do that. Soo smart!!!
This is definitely one of the best bath bomb tutorials I've found. I've been thinking about using a homemade bath bomb to propose to my girlfriend, and most of the recipes I've found just didn't seem right. I love that this one has oils and uses something other than food coloring.
That is so cute and nice
Thank you so much! :)
Emilie Lefler...can mango butter be subbed for cocoa butter...?
I would like to know also. Thanks.
Patricia R what did she say
I love how you tell us exactly what you use, instead of us just trying to guess what you're using
Terrific job with this tutorial. I haven't seen any others where it is recommended to add the citric acid last - but it makes perfect sense. Your video was well organized and very informative. Thank you!
You're such a creative and generous soul! Thank you for sharing with us!
You are very welcome! xo
This has to be the best DIY bath bomb tutorial I have ever seen! Just tried it and they came out perfect! Thank you so much! Awesome.

Best tutorial I've seen. Adding citric acid last seems like a good tip. I'll have to try that next time.
Fantastic tutorial Emilie! I will definitely be trying your recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I know this isnt a new tutorial but i just wanted to say thanks so much because its the most complete and detailed explanation i've seen. And the citric acid tip was genius. Thanks so much!
OMG your video helped me solve my bath bomb problem! :D The idea of adding the citric acid at the end is phenomenal! So simple but I didn't think about it. I also love that you explain everything carefully and tell about all your ingredients what to use them for. :) Thank you :)
This was awesome!!!! Watched quite a few tutorials and this is the best....loved it!
I am teaching my Grandkids to make homemade Christmas gifts this year. Because they are girls (not me) this hits the spot. I guess I could make some for my guy friends(weird sorta) and maybe scent them with WD-40,fish bait, oil or gunpowder LOL. Actually most guys won't admit it but we all have a feminine side. Me I prefer lavender, rosemary and ginger (shhhhh and a nice candle). I am a former Executive Chef and like the creativity. Nice video!!
Check out Doterra essential oils, Balance blend! They use it for their products for men.
Wow. I appreciate you. This video was amazing and so helpful and I can't wait to try!!!
Love your videos. Thanks for the recipes (most people don't share them) and thanks for all the info you provide.
You are so sweet! I know how frustrating it can be to when you are starting any type of project. Finding recipes, supplies, steps, etc. Happy to hear my tutorials are helpful. Providing informative tutorials has been one of the major goals of my channel. Thank you! xo

Thank you for sharing, so far this is the best tutorial i found on UA-cam. Well done. I have made a bunch of bath bombs, they did not have the cream of tartar, nor witch hazel. Some do not even float at all. I will definitely try this recipe tomorrow or as soon as my supplies arrive. Again, thanks.

I just started making bath bombs. 2 batches in and so far both have been uninspiring! Ha! I'm going to try your theory of adding in the citric acid last. That makes way more sense then all the other recipes I have tried. Thanks so much for this video.
This is the only bath bomb recipe thats actually worked! Thank you so much!!! however dont melt coconut oil in the microwave! it basically removes all the good stuff from the coconut oil!

Emilie, thank you so much for your thorough and intelligent DIY’s. One question,...does this recipe absolutely need the cream of tarter in order for it to be a fabulous bomb?
omg thank you for this vid!!! im adding toys to mine for my little one 🤗🤗🤗
Cool
Wow yours is the best one I've ever seen n it's was so hard to find!!!!! But its okay I still loved it
What a great video! I'm excited to try it! Is it possible to add some Epsom salt in this recipe? And if so- how much? Thank you
Can you use a cuisinart for the dry and oil blending part?
This is a great dIY video for beginners like me. You offer such great tips and techniques. I wish I had watched this before I started making bath bombs. I learned by trial and error that you lightly over-stuff the molds and then press them together hard so that the mixture passes through itself and sticks together. Kind of like how you make a snow ball. I've watched more videos and looked at more recipes than I can count. Spent a ton of money too, so it's disappointing when they crack or don't hold together. My house is very dry, which is good, but I have to always spray A LOT of rubbing alcohol or witch hazel to get them to hold together. Then I over-spritz and they crack. I think what I need is a better base-recipe to begin with. One that balances the dry to liquid/oil ratio better. I just don't think I should be spritzing that much. Can't wait to try your recipe!
Great video & information! Can you tell me how long you need to let them dry before using them? I made this recipe and they seem so soft still and it has been about 15 hours since I made them
this is the best video ive seen on bath bombs! so informative and clear! just curious are there any substitutes for cocoa butter?
Great video! I just tried to make bath bombs for the first time and didn't work (citric acid activated). Looking at this video I can totally see what I did wrong. Thank you so much!!
You got it way too wet too fast
Have you ever had your bath bomb crack during the drying process? I seem to always have 1 or 2 that crack while just sitting out over night and I'm not sure if its because they have too much moisture or not enough moisture, how can you tell? Thankx!
This is a great recipe; however, I have had some cracking when they dry. Do you have any suggestions?
Do you half to use coco butter
thank you so much. best bath bomb video I've seen.
Thank you! Very kind of you! xo
Emilie Lefler can you use perfume for fragrance
Emilie Lefler I had modified your recipe can you tell me if it would work?
1 cup of baking soda
½ cup of citric acid
¼ cup of epsom salts
½ tsp of essential oil
½ cup of corn starch
1 tsp of cream of tartar
2 and a half tbs of coconut oil (only oil I have)
1 tsp of rubbing alcohol
1 tsp distilled water
food coloring
How many BB does this recipe makes?
how did this come out
Can you mix your dry ingredients ahead of time and store until ready to prepare the bath bombs?
why do you use cream of tartar
hi
i loved your video. im just wondering can you post the recipe :).
can you use which hazel instead of alcohol?
useful information tips tbh
love it!! i noticed u didnt use any epson salt?.....plus u removed your calls immediately!!! cant wait to try your method!!
good job
Do you have any advice for a first time maker?
Love the professional quality in filming
Thanks!
Thanks
is there a full recipes with instructions
Hi I was watching this tutorIal as well as your DIY Mooncake Press Bath Bombs. You use 2 different recipes the other one being from Dean Wilson. Which one do you feel fizzes and look better between the recopies. Thanks
can mango butter be used in place of cocoa butter...?
I found mine floated and created more bubbles which I loved by dividing the mixture in half and place the SLSA in just one half of the mixture and I didn't add the cream Of tarter as it's not necessary. By placing the SLSA in the middle of the bath bomb it will float
Do you find that the colorants from celestial colors are able to color the water as well as lake powders?
Emilie, these are fantastic. thank you for sharing the recipe and how you did it. Quick question, are these okay for pregnant women to use in the bathtub? thanks
If I wanted to use SLSA how much would I add to this recipe?
Is this a good recipe to use in a humid location??
Hi I love you tutorials. I have some questions.
1. Can I use Corn flour instead of Cornstrach? how much?
2. Can you please suggest other fragrance oils for sensitive skin and Aromatheraphy if you could? Thank you in advance.
so! crazy thing.. just checked out your Etsy shop "about me" page and I have never known of another person to be terrified of frogs... I have friends who think I am crazy mad for despising them. nice to meet you!
Can I use Citric Acid Granules or only Citric Acid Powder or does it not matter? Please help!
Can you tell me why my bombs tend to flatten when drying? Great video thanks
cream tartar bath bomb is used for what purpose.
Thank you! Subscribed!
Why the castor oil? What does it do can you leave it out?
hi - i have tried to read the comments and so many say you wont answer a question - well i am hoping you just might for me - i am still new to bathbombs - i can make a shower steamer pretty well and i am happy with the results from them - my question before i dive into the bathbomb minefield is - how much polysorbate 80 would i add to this recipe because i dont want the ring around the bath colour line from the bombs if i add colouring - hope you can help me on this question - cheers and also thanks for an awesome video
My bath bombs are in a 6 oz ball mold, similar to the one you used here, but when I remove them from the mold and set them to dry, most of them sort of "settle" leaving the bottom of the bath bomb flat in stead of round as they should be. Will using the towel and bubble wrap resolve this or should I do something else? Thank you :)
Can I replace the citric acid
Where did you buy cornstarch
I really like your VDO and thank you to sharing your technic about when us the best time to put Citrit Acid into the bowl. 😊😊 I just did the DIY bathbome but it's broke. 😅😅 But I will do another try. thank you.
Too much oil or not wet enough
can u use slsa
what if you don't like coconut oil and cocoa butter?
How much does it cost to make these 5 bath bombs? Thank you.
