Hey Bjarne another great video ! Enjoy your time off ! This block were in we won't get a day off unless it's real windy or a bad storm until we're finished. So many Deadfalls and Beatle Kill it looks almost like a Battle field. Trouble is it's in the middle of nowhere and roads are sketchy after any moisture so it's slow going. No place for the faint of heart to be sure. Be safe and hope to hear from you soon.
I love watching your videos.. reminds me of the old man strip sawing back in old days.. that and in Alaska cutting giant Sitka spruce on admaralitty island.
I tell ya what im normally in some gully somewhere dropping trees under powerlines, but if I had a view like that I wouldn't be getting much done haha great video mate!
Ya it’s a great time to do some prospecting. I got a big trip planned for early September. Right now I’m working on an Amazon store for hi-vis apparel so I’m stuck at the house on the computer. I gotta put new flange bearings on the crusher before I bring anymore rock home anyway
@@BjarneButler Ya crushers beat the hell out of the bearings but it sure beats bashing rocks with a hammer .Me and the boys are planing to hit the bush in 6 weeks or so with all the rain we are getting the water right now is to high and fast and work picked up so no time right now. Its good to see your picking up some work to well work safe and play hard.
Thanks. Ya 390 is all I run in big wood. To be honest I’m just a regular production faller on the coast. There’s plenty of highly skilled guys here on the island, I’m just the only one posting on UA-cam it seems. Of course I only show the good stuff haha
Great video !!! But, I really hate to hear laid off especially when "lots of time" follows it. I know industry goes up/down but it doesn't make it SUCK any less. Dealing with the same here. Anyway awesome work and save those pennies.
@@BjarneButler I look at the geology also, as well as the type of landform, the vegetation, climate, microclimate, etc. They all get considered in determining the story of the soils. Very interesting work. the story of the soils.
There is just so much to learn from a guy with your skills man, really cool to see you run a saw. Truly a pro in action.
Thanks

I bet the soils there are very interesting. Sorry, I'm a retired soil scientist surveyor.
Yup I bet they are. I’m a hobbyist prospector so I’m looking at the rock instead

the story of the soils.
Great video I just want to know do you plant trees where you cut it or what and stay safe
Yes these blocks will be replanted by a planting crew
is the heli going to lift the logs out or cable logged?
The logs will be moved to the road by helicopter
Hey I'm looking for a lightweight 36"stink had for my 880 in .404, where do I find one? or are they only in 3\8?

Hay you should these young fire fighters how to to fall trees I'm a forestry worker who fight fires .I work for the B.C Govt.
👍🍻🇵🇱
gets dificult to judge trees in the woodsespicially when theres a bunch of brush blocking ur view that was a big tree
some time off better go do some prospecting thumbs up
"Leave" trees are annoying. ;)
What happened? You cut trees way better than that. You lost a foot of lumber.
It was made high on purpose. That way trees
uphill won’t roll to the bottom of the mountain and take out the helipad on the way down
I can't stand to see the amount of wood you waste, the one tree alone you left 40 bft. To rot in the woods
Can you explain what you mean by waste. Do you mean the high stump?
gotta get rid of the music
unsubscribing
Bye. 👋
C ya
probably about time you come back and give it another shot, aye?
