I used to watch this program with my Grandmother who had it on video. I’ve been looking for years and years trying to find it. She gave me my love of British farming and the countryside. Thank you so much
i know this video is old, but i have picked up the tradition of shepherd ( except i dont use dogs ) dusted it off and am carrying on the tradition. there is hardly any farms that even have sheep anymore in my area. im gonna try to help bring sheep back by raising working sheep, my ram is being trained to walk in harness and will pull wagons and be able to carry pack boxes
Check out Kathryn Tickell's "Northumbrian Voices" definitely worth listening to, Traditional songs and stories of the shepherds in the area. Willie Taylor, Joe Hutton etc..
I wish life was still like this honest hard working God bless and thank you Danny

I seem to be missing the date of this documentary.
My guess 1992…. But that’s only from what it feels like
Filmed between 1998 and 2001 according to the accompanying book.
Hi Danny, do you know if there are still any Shepherds in the area?
There’s a few about but not many
Where can I find the songs from this?
