I like the synth arrangement better than the live drums they use nowadays. They sound great here and reminds me of the times I used to go to their concerts.
absolutely! i hate their sound nowadays... depeche mode has to sound as if they're hitting old oil barrels and other metallic things, plus an absurd use of 80's synths. THAT'S depeche mode, not the weary sound from today.
Pretty interesting share of synths. Martin has the most modern set: DX7 and Emu I (both digi) and one smaller one more. Alan has "only" Jupiter 8, a keyboard for Voyetra 8 and drums (all analog). Fletch has huge Oberheim OB8 (analog), I don`t know why.
Tapes only had backing tracks. Vocals were always live, and as their music was then, they were saturated with effects. to this day, Martin and Dave sing live with other members sometimes doing backups.
@@berlinsneakerz No way. DM used backing tracks extendedly and without any shame. Dave`s singing abilities were limited and he had to save his vocal chords. Several songs were very hard for him to sing, especially when he was young and untrained.
BEST TIME 4 MUSIC, VOCAL & INSTRUMENTAL, MASTERPEAS.
80's and 90's had the best concerts 🙂😄🙂👍
Músicas Inesquecíveis do meu tempo da minha adolescência
Forever Depeche mode enjoy the silence

DAVE MARTIN ALAN ANDREW 🌹
Damn, I was 10 when they played this in concert
minus 5 xD
Dude, at this point I wasn't even planned.
Rare concert version from 80s where Gahan`s vocal is really live (and he is struggling quite a lot). Later it was full tape for many years.

Birmingham,England.. or Alabama??
In England. At the Odeon.
Do you have more footage of this concert
Have the whole broadcast on VHS
there's a Radio Broadcast Bootleg from this concert some where on the net. BBC live Depeche Mode in Birmingham 1984.
❤🫦🌹
Horizontally stretched? Noooooo.
Because I am God not a man
Bible says
They have the drums too loud in the mix...It’s over powering the synths
damn no iphones on this konzert
