After disconnecting my battery to change alternator I thought oh no that means no radio cos had no code which means listening to my own singing 🎶 oh no!!?? Then you came to my rescue with your very useful video can't thank you enough all sorted.

This seems a really great solution but I have a problem with my 2006 Focus Zetec (6000CD). The battery was disconnected by mechanic, knocking radio off. As I was unfamiliar with the process and unaware of the 'V' number, I attempted several times to fix it.
After multiple failed attempts I'm now locked out completely with 'LOCKED' showing on the LED display. When I hold down keys '1' and '6' it starts cycling through the various outputs, but no 'V' code shows.
Anyone know of a solution? Thanks Ford Fans.
me and my dad are trying to type the code in his 1994 ford probe's 2006 RDS radio but it isnt typing anything, do you have any idea what to do?
Ford radio 2500 with cassette you have to push 2 and 6 by same time for the serial 'M'-Number.

On my 03 focus as soon as I turn on the radio a station number like 85.7 is there. It doesn't say code. There is no sound or anything, although the CD is completely functional. I don't get it.

Hi we paid for the code. But its just says locked still we can't get to the part where you put the code in.
To reset the Locked status (which appears when you enter wrong code ten times), try this:
Ensure your radio is OFF.
Hold the button 6
Turn the radio ON
Keep holding button 6 for 10 seconds
If there is no success, try it again, sticking to the steps above. If there is still no success or you can read LOCKED 13 on the screen, then know your radio is "permanent" locked which means can't be fixed at home. You may try to visit a Ford dealer or radio specialist to fix it. In most cases, getting another radio unit is the best solution.
