Olympia was incredible, I was trying to imagine how it would have looked in its prime. The olive oil and soap demonstrations were fascinating, how lovely to be part of a family institution like that. I can only imagine how hot it was there, it’s no fun sightseeing in that heat after a while.
Olympia was great. It was indeed rather hot that day, but dry, thankfully. I loved the history of it all, including the following city - Corfu, a place where we barely scratched the surface of exploring it. Would like to get a bit more outsde the city next time. Thank you for commenting!
Fantastic and thoughtful video as always! Still think Justin was crazy to run in that heat! And the soap is still one of my favourite excursions we did in this cruise
Thanks! Justin was a little mental, but he'll be able to say what we can't - he ran at home of the Olympics. Do love the soap experience - a rather old family tradition.
Have never been to Olympia so interested to see your footage of the ancient village, the stadium, and the altar of Hera. (Never knew that is the starting point of the Olympic flame.) Also fascinating to see the soap-maker from Corfu showing off the process behind their (largely) hand-made soap. .
@@idl9ave419 Glad you enjoyed watching this rather ancient origin of the Olympics. If I could only go to one place like this in that part of the world, I think I would still find myself back at Troy, I’m not sure why, but I really liked being there. Olympia, like Ephesus, was excellent. As ever, thank you for watching ☺️☺️
Olympia was an amazing place to see. Now you've experienced a normal summer day in Adelaide 😂 So when you visit you'll be ready for it. Corfu was beautiful. The sail in was stunning. I absolutely love the soap making part. The explanation of the process was so good. Hope you got some soap? Looking forward to the next vlog
@@arthurscruises9310 Hi Arthur, we’re really glad you enjoyed this one! A normal day in Adelaide 😂😂 As long as it’s dry, I think we’d be fine. Neither one of us are that much into humidity. we definitely brought some of the soap home, and it was such a treat to see how it’s made.

Thank you for sharing the video 👏👏
You're very welcome, Michelle!
Clearly deeply engrossed in what we were filming 😂
Clearly 😂
The soap making was very interesting but at 39C Olympia is a bit too hot for us
Olympia was certainly very hot. At least it was a dry heat.
Glad you found the soap part interesting - and thank you for leaving a comment :)
