ROFL. Ok, 1:45 in and I'm already lmao. I'll start adding comments and answers as we go along.
Mamamoo's fandom is called moomoo. Moo means radish in Korean. Moomoos used to bring real daikon radishes to MMM shows until RBW finally came up with the radish shaped light stick. MMM & moomoos are total dorks.
The mustache thing they do when they introduce themselves refers to their debut song Mr Ambiguous, which is the first song of the medley. They had fake mustaches on their fingers for Mr Ambiguous promotions and did that mustache move as part of the choreo. Has anyone mentioned that MMM are aka beagle-dols (beagle + idol)? lol
MMM live vs studio: any moomoo will tell you that MMM is better live.
Decalcomanie is one of their signature songs. Don't miss the comeback stages (MMM in suits is iconic) and the rock version they did for a year end show is pretty special, with label mates Onewe as the backup band.
The next song was Starry Night, which is from Yellow Flower, the first album in the 4 Season 4 Color project.
Wind Flower was the title track from the 3rd of the four album 4 Season 4 Color series.
Wheein has a bunch of tattoos. All the members have tattoos except Solar. Wheein & Hwasa have 2 matching tattoos.
There's no MV for I Miss You. The best performance is from Queendom, which is simply one of the best live vocal performances by a girl group ever. MMM partially re-wrote I Miss You for Queendom to turn it into a love song to moomoos. Not a dry eye in the house and MMM later said they couldn't look directly at the audience or they would have lost it while singing.
Gogobebe is the final title track in the 4S4C project. Yep, a party song - they're busting out of the rut they were in after the last time we saw them in the breakup song Wind Flower. The basic message is to put aside your troubles and try to have a good time even if you're not totally ok.
Their chemistry is more like alchemy - there's magic involved. They believe they were destined to be best friends even if they weren't in a group together or even if they led completely different lives. I think that's the secret sauce that fuels their live performances and bumps their world class talent up to goddess tier.
I'm not so sure there wasn't any auto-tune used in post production. Auto-tune is so prevalent these days that imo half the time we don't even notice it. Regardless, this performance is about as raw and spontaneous and brilliant as we're likely see by a kpop girl group for a loong time. 😂💛❤️️💙💜

Tara: MMM doesn't limit themselves to one color - they have a rainbow, just like their rainbow of vocal colors and musical genres and the name of their agency. MMM albums are color coded and include titles like Pink Funky, Purple, Yellow Flower, Red Moon, Blue;S, White Wind, and reality in BLACK. For their most recent album Travel they finally added green to the list so you were spot on by choosing green for your headphones. 😄

mamamoo don't have one official colour, but white and green works well for moos because of the radish lightstick :) moo means radish in korean, so in the early days moomoos would bring real radishes to support mamamoo!
every mamamoo album has a colour, and they just recently completed the rainbow with the green travel album, so we often associate a rainbow with mamamoo. this also works because each of the members has a colour associated with them, from the four seasons four colours project (hwasa = yellow, for the yellow flower album, moonbyul = red for the red moon album, solar = blue for the blue;s album, wheein = white for the white wind album).
in fact they were asked in an interview once what colour they think works for mamamoo, and moonbyul responded that if they had to choose she would choose rainbow, because they are so different but come together so well.

ha, i find it funny that you call this an essay. you should see the monsters i'm too fond of writing...
one thing i really like about the individual colors chosen for the four seasons project is how subbers started using those colors to denote what member is saying what. the fact that we suddenly got conformity with that because of the colors has made things so, so much easier and better for fans that don't know korean. (also, i'm so so thankful to all the translators we've got out there)

I think right now mamamooo has more than 100 songs, even many more if we include the solo, remake, cover, collaboration, OST. They are the most active musician in term of producing and releasing music. Truly a respected Artist.

Aside from Solar, all the members have multiple tattoos (Wheein has like 10? 11? I lost count tbh - and that's including the ones shared with HwaSa)
On the bright side, not knowing most of those Title tracks (all except for 'i Miss You'), which have cool and fun MVs, that means there is still plenty of fresh Mamamoo content for you to enjoy for the first time (as a vet moomoo, I envy u)
But as for how it possible for them to sound as good -if not (which is often the case) better than the studio ver., even after 2 years of religiously and daily following and listening to them, I'm still in as much disbelief as you are (the goosebumps are a given at this point, even if I replay the same clip several times)..
They're unbelievable in every sense of the word.. actually, no amount of words can give justice in describing how exceptional they are imo..

Legit Mamamoo live is 1000x better than studio versions you love them even more on live stages. I highly recommend their individual Four Seasons concert. Their live concerts are like 4-5 hours long because each other them have their own solo stages & then stages as a group. Also welcome to the Moomoo (which is radish) Family 😁

it's alright. take ur time exploring their songs. i would say they are one of the best groups with great vocal and songs. u can hear their personality in the way they express themselves through their songs. it's really really fun
When they debuted RBW was a very small company and they had to prove themselves as well as doing their own choreography, makeup, etc. They cut their teeth by busking and doing college festivals. In 6 years they have released 2 albums and 10 mini albums/extended plays. Each one of the girls has released solos, and numerous collabs and OSTs. Appeared on many TV shows such as Queendom, Immortal singer, masked singer, and Hee-Yeol's Sketchbook. And when they feel bored they do covers and Solar has a youtube channel and Moonbyul hosts a radio show. Makes me feel a little lazy.
All those moves you are asking about are what they did in the early days, stage and mv.

By the way the song that says "Yellow Flower 2018" underneath is Starry Night, Yellow Flower is the album name. They filmed the MV in New Zealand and it's absolutely breathtaking.

I actually waited for the I miss you part coz i knew youre going to be blown away😅 Stage presence? Watch Immortal Songs medley next. Its a bunch of old songs they made a cover of in their concert in 2016. Highly recommended.

It's been almost 3 years of stanning Mamamoo for me and I still haven't heard every song. I have definitely heard all 12 albums but I'm always finding an OST, song cover, commercial song, live performance, collabs, and solo song that I haven't heard yet. Don't worry about it! Last week I heard their OST called "WOW" from a show called WWW for the first time. Anyway, this medley was most of their title tracks. Only I Miss You and Dingga were not title tracks. The missing title tracks are Piano Man, Um Oh Ah Yeh, and Yes I Am.
oh man, not only is "wow" an amazing song and ost but the drama it's for is top-notch as well. 'search:www' is hands down my favorite kdrama i've watched
If youve only watched their songs with mvs youve really only scratched the surface. Especially since theyve been around since 2014. Thats over 7 years of music and content. Their b-sides are absolutely amazing i hope you react to some of them with lyric videos like waggy they also have bassanova and jazzy songs id like to see you react to.

All the members except Solar had tatoos. Solar is afraid of needles. And apparently nobody can keep Solar quiet. She is such crackhead and chaotic. Nobody can ever be bored in Solar's company 😂. And also Solar is known for her signature high notes. Solar, Wendy from Red Velvet and Rosé from Blackpink are my most favourite female vocalist. Whenever I listen to their vocals, I feel like I am flying over the clouds.

Well, some have already explained to you that MAMAMOO doesn't have any official colors. But regarding the other idols having official colors let me tell an interesting history about that. In 1st gen Kpop (1994-2002) idols having colors is a way that fans could identify themselves with as lightsticks aren't a thing yet at the time fans would wear coats and wave balloons that indicates their faves' colors but a fandom and idol group must not share the same color as another group who established the color first otherwise it would ensue fanwars. In 2nd gen Kpop (2003-2011) was the emergence of the lightstick idea popularized by the KINGS of KPOP BIGBANG the coats and balloons were ditched for the lightstick, fandoms and idol groups sharing the same colors in this era are accepted by fans since lightsticks with different shapes and sizes identify them however the fandoms would see it to themselves which lightstick is better and which dominates and occupies the arena more. In 3rd gen Kpop (2012-2017) the rule still stays the same as the 2nd gen had however when iKON debuted they had red as their color which triggered TVXQ's fans (Cassiopeias) who are from the 2nd gen, you see Cassiopeias hold the color red very dear to their heart because their faves TVXQ had gone through a lot losing 3 members leaving the remaining 2 members to promote as TVXQ, huge fan war happened between the senior fandom (Cassiopeias) and junior fandom (iKONics) but the issue has since been put to a stop by some of BIGBANG's fandom (VIPs) and SECHSKIES' fandom (YellowKies) saying both of them basically share the same color and they don't have a problem with it, VIPs and YellowKies words hold weight as both their faves have a huge impact on the Kpop world with BIGBANG being a representative of 2nd gen Kpop and hailed as the KINGS of KPOP and SECHSKIES as a representative of 1st gen Kpop. In 4th gen Kpop (2018-current) because of the issue between iKONics and Cassiopeias rules and unnecessary competition and fan wars about official colors that started in the 1997 period of the 1st gen Kpop has since been abandoned by every Kpop fandom. Oh, and in case you were wondering, MAMAMOO is a part of the 3rd gen Kpop.
In case there's a big misunderstanding and confusion between young Cassiopeias and young VIPs reading this comment:
Let me just say, yes I know that TVXQ and BIGBANG are 2nd gen legends belonging to the BIG3 and both fandoms are massive and intimidating. TVXQ could've been the rival to BIGBANG during the 2nd gen but because of the mistreatment of SM Entertainment to 3 TVXQ members their popularity took a hit since at the time and fans cannot see TVXQ as only 2 members deep in their hearts TVXQ are always 5, during that time as well SM Entertainment had SuperJunior and they're on the rise and soon overtook TVXQ's place as SM Entertainment's 2nd generation representative and would go down in history as YG Entertainment's BIGBANG's rival.
