I'm handicapped and don't get to the beach anymore. I like watching you build castles. Brings back memories. I'm thinking of getting some sand and putting it in a plastic tote and building small sized castles. Using Dixie cups and sculpting tools. LOL
After watching most of your videos ive come to see your style. As you are cutting away different sections and starting on the details I'll say a window should go there and you put one in.
well spotted! - what the videos dont show is standing back and looking at whether it literally looks right, whether its balanced etc - you have to step away occasionally - i do it when i fetch water. helps see whats missing - hope that helps - it is random but it isn't
Haha, I know eh. I've tried getting the ladies to help. I hooked one once, she pretty much just ended up carving rocks. I gotta screen my sand so it's alot of work. I'm in Canada, I'd be happy to be your sand slave if you pay me. I'm a machinist, I don't want to work anymore, just castle everyday.
People tell me I should turn pro and I always say, "that's the dream, not sure how yet. Thats why I'm practicing." One woman said, " you should make money" and I politely said jokingly, " well you're looking at it, you could give me $10." It was funny
I'm back watching again, I got sand withdrawal. It'll be 7 months from now till I can castle again in Canada. Its going to be 70F here this weekend but the water is probably in the 40's and my neck is injured. Going to work on creating an Instagram page to show you what you've inspired me to create
excellent - looking forward to it! meanwhile, i am trying to create new content - anything you wish to see how to do or do better..stairs video is coming soon btw #wedontdoboring (even in Canada)
sorry, but kind of glad to see you looking for your tools, I lose them in the sand quite often. How long do you leave the buckets on before you pull them off?
Hi Langli - all the tools we use are available on www.sandcastlelessons.com as we believe the right tools are the only thing to use - substitutes are just that - not as good - thats why we dont use them! Have a great day and let me know where you are in the world
love that we hear beach sounds instead of music!
we aim to please!
Andy is AMAZING!! He empowers YOU to make YOUR DREAM come ALIVE! SOOO FUN

The sand does what it wants. Andy's advice is all excellent tips. My beach is sloped, so stepping back is critical
Solo it takes me a few hours. Carving is the easy part. Its fetching water and stacking sand that takes the time
thats why you need sandslaves..just wish i had one!

How’d you make the arch? That is absolutely nutty
by stacking wet sand across a bucket or using your hands - fast n sloppy!! LOL
Do you have any idea of substitutes for the tools you r useing?

Hello Andy I have a question
When you build the castle, do you just leave it there or destroy it afterwards 😁
we always leave it - someone knocks it down but customers (most) prefer to leave them up
This isn't fair. That sand is like clay. I'm building in Pensacola FL, and it's like talcum powder. Collapses so easy.
