I remember when Maple Story was hard. It took me literally years to get my Night Lord to level 193, only to have it hacked. That was back when pirates had come out, and I think aran JUST came out. Evan and DB weren't out yet. That was also before Big Bang, so it took me probably about... 80+ hours of grinding a mixture of 2xp, 4xp, and 8xp (family buff, event 2xp, and 2xp card) to get ONE level. Half of you don't know how easy this game is now, lol. I got two level 13x in a week when I started up again recently. 13x in like 5 months of training hard was more like it when I played.
Yeah, I can agree with that now, I just guess I don't like that all that work isn't impressive anymore. I liked to think I accomplished something really cool. Maple's fun, though.

He's just trying to show his achievements. You don't have to go around and comment something that many people have already commented and stated that was already obvious.
Probably my biggest problem with introducing new characters down the line like this. Your comment points it out superbly. It overshadows the other classes, people should be able to pick up maple and STILL want to be a Warrior or Bowman or Mage, but when you make classes like this, it steps on the face of the old ones. Can never forget about balance and overall appeal to your game when making new things.

I agree.Have been playing MS (on and off) from grade 6 until the end of 1st year, which was summer of 2012 (University). I witnessed many changes, whether it'd be having only 2nd job (3rd not released) or the introduction to Ludibrium. I do believe the new content is designed for the new generation of Maplers. Easy to level, massive game content and a variety of classes. It's my opinion. I personally enjoyed those long hours of grinding just to hit level 30 and so forth. Mapler from '05 to '12
In one of the videos, this person did a 5min dojo solo. When he showed the top scores in the dojo, he was only rank 6. All the ranks from 1-20 was 5mins.
I agree with both of you. For you, nowadays people don't have much time, and gaming is just a form of entertainment, so therefore, spending too much time on it wouldn't be a good thing. For him, the community of the game was much better back then, where everyone had to rely on each other in order to achieve something. Now, everything is solo-able, and people don't have much respect for others anymore. If only Nexon could make time for us while keeping a nice community, that'd be great.

I don't know what your friend is using :P Personally I find my Angelic Burster better than my mechanic on certain bosses, my luminous does very little damage compared to either, but it is still fun.
Angelic Burster is a DEX-based Pirate class, she is the second Nova race class to be released into the game. Players can only be female, and have a choice between two hairstyles, two faces and any hair colour. Angelic Burster uses her own weapon, the Soul Shooter, as well as a secondary weapon, the Soul Ring. She has an Embelm slot and a Dress Up System with her. She uses a system called Soul Recharge System, which replaces the use of MP.
Its not the damage that concerns me with this char, its that most 3rd job and up skills can practically hit the whole map, with a range that rivals most ultimates. The demon slayer with demon cry won't be the best ks mule anymore. All non- angelic burster classes are gonna be shut out of major grinding spots until the chars can't be made anymore
please...we seriously don't need people talking about 'the old maple'. Maplestory will always be what it has been and continue to grow and evolve with us ~ !!

They adapted themselves to both by simplymaking the difficulty curve of the game reduced, by decreasing the required exp curve (the exp that you need to level up) and by making the game waaaay funnier at its early stages. Like MatthewRockTTM said, in the old days, you trained like a madman, then you became a bishop and then the fun part began. now, every new class starts out as fun in the beginning of the game.
By my knowledge the only reason they came out with AB is to lower inflation. Nexon never expected ceritan boss drops to be as much. They want people to be able to obtain those items rather than having to drop 5 grand on equpits. In the end they'd make more money along with they have to appeal to a new age of players. All of us older players aren't going to play forever and this is the kind of stuff that new gen likes. I don't plan on passing judgment on the AB until she gets a fair chance.
Old MapleStory has returned !!! There is a private server called '' MapleGlobal '' The server is gonna be v0.01 and you are able to start all over ! The server is gonna copy all the same things as Wizet used to do ! This is gonna be the most nostalgic private server ever made ! Screw MapleRoyals, it's not nostalgic as you think it is. Join this, i would love to start my experience all over again !

The Real old Maplestory, was back when getting to level 70 was something, you could be absolutely proud of. Maple used to be a place with good community and filled with friendly people helping each other out. Now? Maple became a god damned Trading community. P.S. Old Maplers remember about Henesys Hunting Ground 1? Well, Its gone now.
Actually, I agree with your statement, but it is just an opinion. By my knowledge, there were too many DPS characters, (Luminous, Merc, ETC). So, I think KMS wanted to create a character who could be a high damage character, and not use Rapid Fire moves. This is why they made the damage cap for certain skills.

With all these elements in hand, the game was made more casual, but also more ENJOYABLE, which should be the core of ANY MMO. But, in the end, everyone tries to find their own "fun" in such a game. For example, what i like to do in this game is wait for a class that looks cool to come out, playing it a little bit/ for a long time, then waiting for the new class to come out, playing that class etc... like, i'm really anticipating the RED update. But not so long ago, i decided to go a little bit further, by making a xenon annd leveling up to level 120. By experience, I can tell you that this game has a way better community than most games. PQ are very important if you want to level up fast, and MS is one of the few games where you really have

Zakum and Horntail aren't major bosses anymore. And you won't be able to solo the hardest bosses (Magnus, Hard Hilla, Arkanium etc etc) unless if you are in the 1% godly funded people in GMS.
Oh yes, that was also during the time when it took about a month to get to level ten, because god forbid us casual players who don't spend 24/7 grinding ribbon pigs get any higher and actually get into any kind of storyline.
Having tried the old maplestory (6 years ago) i much prefer the new one and new classes. Resistance is fun to play, but the other classes are outdated and unless you are funded are unplayable past 120, i like having the option of getting one character to 200 (heros nova's etc) so i can get items for the rest of my characters to level them.

It's not an archer class, that other guy lied, it's a separate class that's only in KMS (I Think), called "Angelic Burster".

this thing is not reflecting 30k dmg back to the attacker, its reflecting 1mill dmg back.. leaves me to believe they raised the HP cap to around 1mill

Did you read about ''random options'' -system? Every 150lv char will be doing 1m dmg minimum. It's not like bosses are getting harder, much.
they already got nerfed with a capital N.. still their pink hair makes them the cutest characters in the game right now even without NX accessories

Yes we can. There's a new patch that's coming to kms soon that will increase the cap to 50million, and max range is increased to 2mil as well.
Guys, its not angelic burster that is uber op, its mainly the fact that this guy has a 999k range he showed it in another video
