Yes, the Big Wheel use to be very loose. During the late barker era, it was tightened down a lot meaning that it doesnt spin as long. relatively speaking the drew era big wheel has loosened up a bit
I think it was around late July or August 1997 when GSN switched to the Dark Period bumper IDs, a few months before the Goodson-Todman rights were about to expire (except for TPIR and 1994-95 Family Feud).
Imad khuri I looked up the airdate when did the $400 debut on Family Feud the airdate was September 28th 1984 in syndication and Abc until June 14th 1985
Someone has an episode from 1984 that features a showcase where Janice was dressed as a Samoan and towards the end of the show she chased Bob around the studio.
If the lady who won the showcase is still has that Robert Lewis Stevenson, first edition, treasure Island, and the sign letter, she has a gold mine, if she ever size to sell it. Because I guarantee you, she could get a pirates ransom for that. First additions are pretty rare and then they have the sign letter on top of it.for me, that’s the best part of all of the showcases. Those are the things that will go off in value as the years go by. And I guarantee you their value is enormous at this point.
@@millenniumman75 Earliest known so far, perhaps she may have appeared earlier than that but the fur coat is preventing it from being rerun. Usually Bob would mention the new model if for the first time on the first episode of the new taping week.
Earliest known "so far" like an archeologist is gonna unearth a long-hidden Holly episode of TPIR? 😂 This happened in the modern era, surely someone can pin down the exact date?
The lady Bob was referring to who broke the daytime record at the time probably played golden road on the February 2nd 1977 show and won. That episode is in grey according to the calendar maybe that episode had a fur coat on it.
I love these classic TPIR show, CBS, won't allow Buzzr to air it, for some stupid reason, because of a fear in ratings decrease? don't make sense, why is STEVE HARVEY's FF still going and FF with Dawson going
So I see that women in that era were expected to give a peck on Bob's cheek. Did women also have the same privilege? Were men obliged to kiss the cheeks of women they were sucking up to? I don't think so. Because "sweet" and subservient women had to kiss a man's cheek to show how "sweet" they were. But that doesn't apply to men.
Those whoop whoop whoops is price is right sound effect since 1974
I was 8 days old when this aired!
I was 2 days old.
I love to hear Johnny Olsen say “ A NEW CAR!”
I was SO happy when Robinetta won that car.
Marlene did excellent on danger price. 😀👍
What a gem! Thank you for all of these gems, Imad!
I watch ONE price is right episode and UA-cam throws their entire 50 year catalogue on me
It's great! 😊 Isn't it? ❤️
@@christinevangilder6245 It wasn't until it was.
Anyone else think that aquarium looked a little cloudy? Love these older episodes.. so much fun.
"lets win this for your lettle girl" lmao Bob is too much!!!

Maybe it's just me🤫 It seems like the big wheel spends a lot faster then it does now🤩

If only Beverly got the last number right in Temptation we would of given away all the prizes on this day.
I knew it would be a zero not a 5
.me Too with the 0 screaming To my cell phone.😅
Yes 🙃To bad 😮💨
Thank you😊

$23K in now terms is $103,260! He said $23K like it was a lot of money and I just had to look it up! LOL!
The "Bouncing Becky Schilling" episode.
Imad khuri I looked up the airdate when did the $400 debut on Family Feud the airdate was September 28th 1984 in syndication and Abc until June 14th 1985
Better than most if not all of the new shows today.
That's true
Greatings from Germany
The first girl looks like Winnie from The Winder Years.
God that Cue 74 popping up on the first item in Temptation \m/
The Game is Fantastico see four your self Carlos
She looks like Melanie Griffith

That would make a change. Didn’t he have a reputation for chasing the girls??
That was Holly, not Janice
One wonders where all these contestants are now in 2024
@1:30, I wonder what the PM winning record was, since there was no DSW or Golden Road
It was $24,285, in 1976 by Pamela Howard. Golden Road debuted in 1975, months later than its daytime version.
Can you upload the episode before this?
That "food sealer" seems to be a heat sealer which just joins plastic, not a vacuum sealer. And that's worth more than a sweeper?!?
The sweeper isn't a vacuum either. Basically it's just a mechanical broom.
Janice is stunning

Incredible win
I wonder what the Nighttime Winning Record was at the time?
Pamela Howard had won $24,285 in 1976. Pre-1978 rules stipulated that the limit was 25 grand.
This looks like one of Holly's first episodes. Isn't it?
Her first show aired January 19, 1977 during tryouts..
@@millenniumman75 Earliest known so far, perhaps she may have appeared earlier than that but the fur coat is preventing it from being rerun. Usually Bob would mention the new model if for the first time on the first episode of the new taping week.
Bouncing Becky won both showcases and almost rip Holly’s arm off!
Anitra left in last 1976 so this could be a tryout window!
Earliest known "so far" like an archeologist is gonna unearth a long-hidden Holly episode of TPIR? 😂 This happened in the modern era, surely someone can pin down the exact date?
Do you have the Season 13 premiere of TPIR

Red and white checkerboard shirt or not... Creepy Bob is, without a doubt, Bob is still CREEPY.
Becky is a delight, but she really ought to switch to decaf.
Lol. I loved how she was happiest about the sofa!
Dian had great legs.

It's interesting you say that, Buzzr on Pluto TV has the Barker Era TPIR episodes up.
@@newstarcadefan I know, it's great

Extreme amount of ads.
Over all, both showcases were the worst that I can remember ever seeing.
But that bed was So ugly!

...or... maybe they just felt like kissing Bob Barker.

Lol
That $23,000 in 1977 is equal to $120,000 in today's dollars. Nice chunk of change!
