Track laying is a small (but vital!) part of building a railway. When it happens it will go quite quickly. Installation of signalling and the overhead wire equipment, and then testing, takes longer.
You're correct. I made a mistake in the video. After making it I downloaded the plans for that area and found I was wrong about it. It will be diverted over FMA/1 Bridleway Accommodation Overbridge.

While they were at it they could have bypassed Waddesdon with the A 41 it's been needed for decades.

All that water makes it obvious why a viaduct is so necessary to prevent the trackbed being flooded!

It all seems a long way off yet. In some sections they haven't done any ground work at all. It is slowly starting to change though, bit by bit.

I'm not a speed reader, at best I managed to read 75% of the written word before it disappeared. Not good when your trying to promote HS2.
