quick question, how much are mocktails? are they the same price as cocktails? I'm trying to see if the cheers package would be worth it for my mom and I as she said she doesn't want to drink too much alcohol but is really excited for milkshakes and specialty coffee
Mocktails usually run around $7.50. We more often than not don't get the package. We find that the usual amount that we drink it just isn't worth it. Then there are other times....lol
They don't give you a cup, but you can get bottled waters with the Cheers package. We would get a couple of waters at the end of the end of the night to have in the room.
No! The only thing that goes against your 15 drinks is alcohol. So you can drink unlimited sodas, coffees ect! We always stock up on bottled waters for the room using the drink package.
Great video. I’m cruising on the Celebration in April. I’m getting the drink package for me and my 2 daughters. They charge you 18% gratuity ahead of time. If you drink more then 6 drinks and or a specialty coffee, milk shake. The bartender or barista isn’t getting any gratuity or it’s reduced. Is that correct cause you’ve already paid a set amount?
Correct. If you got the package the 18% was already added on. Now throwing a dollar or two when the drop off your drink tends to get the drink waiter back around a little quicker.
this is why when i went on my first cruise last july i took 40.00 in 1's and whether the 18% or not i tipped a 1 for eacdh drink i got whether it was achaholic or not, and i noticed that my bartenders remembered me and made sure my drinks were strongwer after first couple drinks
Great review! Have always wanted to purchase the cheers package but due to my wife having a condition with her kidneys she cannot drink alcohol so I just load up on cruise cash in advance. Looking forward to cruising on Princess next year where every person in the cabin does not have to purchase the package
TYVM! That is a great idea on the cruise cash. Make sure you sign up for AARP to get the discounted gift cards to save a little money! We sail on Princess next April for the first time. We are very excited!
Just so you know, you or your wife can purchase drinks on the drink package for others. Even if you tell the bar tender "it's for them," whoever you decide. Even if they already have a drink package. You are allowed to do, with your 15 allowed alcoholic beverages, what you please. The only stump that trips you up is, once you've got to the 15 limit per person, you can no longer purchase any alcohol in any way.
No sharing? If you purchase the cheers package you can buy drinks for someone else. Once you drink your 15 drink alcohol limit, you can no longer buy drinks, period. BUTT, before you run out, you can buy drinks for others, we bought many for our piano player and others in the room. You just have to wait 5 minutes between purchases. So, sharing with those outside of your room is acceptable 🎉 but only if it's within your 15 drink limit. But, remember, once you hit that 15, it doesn't matter what time it is, anybody with the drink package will be refused drinks. You cannot even pay if you choose to. No 🚱 drinks for you.
Always buy now if you know you are going to get the package. You can always cancel them rebuy at lower price. Now with carnival there usually aren't as many sales. Just buy them keep checking the price.
For me, I think I would like getting the cheers package so my drinks are paid for in advance and I'm sure I'd come close to hitting the break even. Some days more, some less. Other cruise lines seem to have higher priced drink packages, Carnival has a fair price, IMO. But if I'm seeing those prices and paying as I go, I can see me denying myself some of the drinks I would like to try. With the drink package, I believe I'd just enjoy m myself more, knowing it's already handled.
Absolutely! Whenever we get the drink package, we find that we will try new and different drinks. That is always fun! We still find that we don't drink enough to make it worth it for us. We agree that when you pay as you go we drink less. We always get that sticker shock on our first drinks bill. 2 drinks $30!
the rule of thumb i have heard is contact them a few months before hand explain the situation and usually it needs to be either medical or sobriety related reasons and that person will be allowed to get the bubbles package instead....but it is fully at carnivals discretion
@@moneyhungry9165 This is the offical statement from Carnival: "Bluetooth, portable and wireless speakers are only permitted within your stateroom and must be used respectfully and at reasonable sound levels and times of day. "
Someone told me that the cruise would be less expensive than going to the Bahamas, but that's not true. Because once you pay for literally EVERY LITTLE THING, you end up spending more money than a trip to the Bahamas. I haven't gone on my cruise yet, but I'm thinking it may be my last. I drink, my partner doesn't, a drink package wouldn't be worth it for us. Maybe a bubbles package. Idk I hope we have fun on our cruise. But they should do better with all of these package "deal" packages. It's ridiculous imo. We prepaid our tips, & atill have to pay the 18% gratuity. Great video guys‼️
The nickle and diming is getting pretty bad. Cruising isn't as affordable as it once was! Still not bad. Even if you do a land based all inclusive, you usually get hit with fees like excursions ect. But, it is getting closer to being a wash. Hope you have a great time on your cruise!
Not to start a class action lawsuit or anything but the bottomless bubbles does have a bottom. 24 hours a day times 60 minutes divided by 5 minutes per refill is 288 drinks. If you wanted 289 your out of luck.
Maybe y'all should've separated the how to make a drink and the information on the cheers package because the constant switching between information and ingredients is a bit wonky.
Yeah we kinda thought that too. We were trying something different, didn't turn out as good as we'd hoped. We appreciate your comments... thanks for watching!
What's your favorite cruise drink?
Love the Fun Ship! My favorite is the Miami Vice!🍻

Thanks for sharing . If I buy the cheers package Can I order my 15 beers to my room at one time ?
Unfortunately no. They have a couple of minutes between your orders and it doesn't work with room service.
Will the tap wate make you sick? Do you have to get bottled water or could you have a water bottle? You fill it up yourself
The water out of the fountain dispensers is just fine. We bring insulated cups and full them with water and ice for the day!

With Bottomless bubbles package, does that also include nonalcoholic mixed daiquiri type drinks and milk shakes?
Sadly it does not. It only covers soda and juice. Non-alcoholic drinks and milk shakes would be covered under the Cheers package.

Can you still bring 12 packs of pop?
