I tought a high school homeschool co-op creative writing class for several years and every week I would bring a random item and they would write 5 minutes of fiction about it and then they would each read their story, and it was so much fun! It'll be fun for you to see the skits your church people come up with! 😊

Don't feel bad for making her first birthday a big event. My cousin unfortunately just lost their sweet little angel a couple weeks shy of her first birthday (please keep him and his wife in your prayers if you would please). There is nothing wrong with celebrating the blessing of a birthday for both the child(ren) and parents. The song was incredibly sweet.
