If you watch some of his old videos he is still eating meat like chicken. One video he cooked a dish with meat and made some vegan for Jenna. He also got to a point where he was eating eggs still but not meats. Now he is full vegan. So he slowly switched over throughout a bit of time while Jenna was already vegan when they met (or switched very early in their relationship)

Could y’all do cooking vegan tutorials, but for beginners. Sort of like something you ate when you first went vegan. I think a lot of why ppl trying to go vegan give up is bc they either eat the same things over n over again, or what they eat doesn’t give them the nutritional value. Knowing you guys can cook the way you do I’d be curious to know and see what y’all ate that wasn’t repetitive in the beginning. Was it simple, or since Julien likes to be trouble was it complicated. When did y’all decide to go vegan, did you do it together? Or were you both vegan when you met? Either way it’d be cool to see what y’all ate in the beginning, or what was that one meal that you were obsessed with? 😊

Nsane Kitten- this comment is old but I am vegan too so here are my favorite recipes:
-Warm bowls (quinoa, green beans, avocado, potato, brussel sprouts and really any vegetable. I like to top it with hummus or a salad dressing
-tomato dill soup (fry and leak, then add 2 big cans of tomatoes and I container or veggie stock and simmer for a while - it’s so good)
- lots of salads... I like to have a variety of dressing going so I don’t get bored
- pasta and red sauce with vegan Italian sausage
- there are tons of recipies online, but a lot of the vegan recipes are hard and intimidating. I would start with the Lauren Toyota website she’s great and really just look around and find someone online you like the stuff of!!

I'm vegetarian but I'm allergic to dairy and can't have it, and i never really eat eggs, but i eat a lot of noodles. Especially an Asian style stir-fry. Another easy one for me is cauliflower. Put some creole or buffalo seasoning on cauliflower and it CANT taste bad. It's basically mostly simple things, but adding vegetables or tofu or really anything to add some nutritional value in there that works! You didn't mention going out, but I really struggled finding food places that I could eat out at (and not be eating a plain house salad, or off the kids menu) but Thai food is amazing for vegan options! And veggie pizza never fails (especially with cauliflower crust)

i sometimes forget you guys are vegan (i don't forget gluten free b/c it's usually bought up) it seems so easy for you guys. I'm sure it's not, having to find alternatives everywhere you go, but the way you both seem to approach being vegan make it look so easy.

It is easy once you get going! I feel you though, where they're from they have so many amazing options, but being vegan is still easy without all that, and a lot less expensive than eating out all the time :)
Yeah it depends where you live! I live in Sydney and it's really easy here. Country areas not so much.
It’s super easy once you get used to it. I live in rural United States and I don’t think it’s very hard. Once you learn where you can get yummy food it’s easy especially if you don’t mind cooking a little.
