Whitestone dome made the best solution, it was largely like this but it had a more extensive kit to make sure you get it right. In 2023 it is impossible to find them though, so this is probably next best. Ideally if you still have the Whitestone dome install kit you can use that in combo with this glass to get it right.
I tried this about 9-10 months ago on my phone and it ended up not working. Just threw it all away and moved on. Well I sent my phone off last week to get the screen repaired and the battery replaced and figured I would try this again. Your video definitely explained it best. Can't wait to try this tomorrow.
I used this screen protector for my one plus 7 pro for over 6 months and it held up perfectly. It just recently cracked because I dropped my phone on concrete face down. Luckily nothing happened to the phone but the screen protector cracked and so i got a new one. Yes, the installation sucks but it's definitely worth it imo. I didn't even bother looking for other screen protectors the second time around. just went ahead and got the same one.
sushblush yes contact the seller and they’ll ask for a pic of your cracked screen. And then they’ll ask for your address and they usually deliver it within a week.
Hey man, good video...i have a oneplus 7 pro and luckily i found Alinsea almost right when I bought the phone. I agree it's one of the best protectors I've used on these phones. I actually just replaced my screen protector. Alinsea has a few more tools and guides for better alignment. again great how to video
WOW! Stunning video, thank you for giving me the confidence I needed to take on this challenge head on. Sooo worth the risk and near fatal panic attack lol. You rock!
I feel you man, seeing people talk about how they fucked their speaker grill cause they don't know how to read instructions freaked me out till I saw this video. Everything makes a lot more since now
Thank you for this video. Really gave me the confidence to pour adhesive on a freshly unboxed phone. I still got two tiny bubbles in the process despite my best efforts but I don't care as the screen is protected and everything works. I appreciate you emphasizing the placement of the foam speaker protector but even after mashing the tab with my finger nail it still popped up in the middle of the process. I was terrified I ruined it but it came out fine. Thank you again.🙏🏾
Thanks for posting this video, mate! How did you find the screen protector, after it cured? I had a Whitestone Dome on my 7 Pro, until this past December. Dropped the bloody thing. Fortunately, only the screen protector cracked, but you can't get the Whitestone Dome for this model phone anymore. The Alinsea protector for the 7 Pro is still available, though. So, I'm considering it.
Thanks bro! But to be honest I downloaded it off of one of those wallpaper apps and I don't remember which one. My bad! I don't have the phone no more actually either.
What an excellent video. I've watched a lot of these before even attempting to put my protector on and I'm actually going to follow along with yours. Thanks!
omg, what a freaking *bleeep * show!! bubbles everywhere, then the fluid all leaked out, then I tried to adjust the shield and it made it worse , then I had to remove it and I have adhesive eveeeery-where. aaaaaak! how do I get all this adhesvie off my phone? thank goodness I didnt use the uv light!!
@@gamingdoggo1884 Thanks. I used rubbing alcohol, but it still smells. I contacted the company as their brochure says its a possible defect, but honestly the amount of trouble to get it to work... regardless of the product. its a good video, thanks
i just orderd this protector but the contents inside mine are not the same as the ones in your video. i then had customer service send me a replacement, thinking it was mis-packaged. the stickers to cover the speaker at the top and the bottom arent the same. even the inside packaging the things are placed in are different. im nervous to follow through putting it on cause it doesnt match this video
Maybe they ship it differently now. It’s been over a year since I did the video. But it should be the same concept though. Just make sure you cover the speakers and buttons. And clean the screen good before applying the adhesive.
Let me find out the screen protector I just ordered it a Whitestone dome knockoff? I still have my tray from my Note 10 plus. Only negative about these screen protectors is that they are a pain to remove when they finally do break.
@@Str8Tech I just got my screen protector today. Put it on no problem I like it a lot more then the other one. This one the whole screen sticks to the phone and not just the sides.
Let me be the first one telling you that you used the adhesive upside down. The pointy head goes down, you open the top and the adhesive comes out automatically.
Hey I got this same screen protector recently. I screwed up the first time because the liquid leaked off the screen, but they sent me a second kit for free and I made sure to use a leveled surface this time and everything is great. I keep forgetting that I even have it on.
Unfortunately I do not have this phone anymore. But when I did I had the screen protector on for a few months and it didn't give me any problems at all.
@@radiimran3221 no because I am only using the UV light on the corners of the screen not the side of the phone. Just use the alcohol pad that comes with the case to clean it.
So once it comes time to take this off because it's broken or whatever and say I want another protector for some reason, does the glue mess up the screen?
Hey I just tried to put mine on and it has a bubble, and I can't get rid of it, the rest of it looks amazing but that bubble in the middle of the screen is annoying, what can I do?
That is the only bad thing about this screen protector, once it's dry there's no taking it off and putting it back. So it's better to get it right the first time. Or of you catch the bubble right away within minutes you can take out the screen protector and put it back. But if it's been hours or days already, it's too late to fix. Sorry. That's my only answer.

You have to make sure the screen is clean before installing any screen protector. My first time I had a bubble too. Bad thing about it is when you apply the UV light it’s too late to fix any bubbles. My advice just give it a few days to see if it goes away on its own.

Do you think the screen protector will hide some minor scratches? Maybe the liquid can seep in and make them invisible!

I have a question, does the liquid stays at the Display after I took the Screen protector off it?
If it was already dried up then yes. You would have to take off the remainder of the dry liquid.
You can use rubbing alcohol with a flat razor blade (flat on screen) and an eraser to get set UV glue off.

You just peel it off that’s it. It’s gonna crack more once you start peeling it off though so just be careful with your fingers

This video I did is for the 7 pro only. With a 6.67 inch curved display. 7t has a 6.55
