That was cool that you pointed out Jeff Dean when he was foot dragging the water, because between you and him, you guys are my two favorite UA-cam channels for PPG.
Thats one of the many things I love about the PPG community, so many people willing to lend a hand and share their knowledge. Looked like so much fun, thank you for sharing your experience at the fly in. Great video my friend ;)
I must have missed you. I think Lorran Michaels pointed you out at one point. You got a good shot of the back of my head at the pilot's meeting. When I saw Nick hit the ground with a sickening thud, I will never forget that. Then I was talking to Eric Farewell and his dad at their booth when I heard an explosion and saw someone get clothslined. I tried to sell my equipment and go home, but they talked me out of it. Great video!
@@ParamotorNC I couldn't leave anyway; I couldn't find any gas. You just repeated what everyone told me. I'll bet if I had met you you would have told me that in person. This sport is as safe or as dangerous as you make it.
There's no need to apologize when erring on the side of caution. You fly you. If you feel comfortable landing out and away from the "Target Boxes" good for you! (>* There is always the danger of "Target Fixation", the tendency to hit what you are looking at. I enjoyed your video. See you in the next Podcast. ;)
It was the best time had some amazing flights and made some new friends just wow! Even talked to you ben we still need to fly here in good ol Carolina great video brother.
Nice meeting u Ben! Tristen helped me diagnose a clatter while down there. Turns out I may need rings, something I would have never checked for. Experience helps.
Just stumbled upon your channel, seems to be a good find as I am a North Carolinian as well! I became super interested in the sport about two years ago after finding Tucker Gott's channel. I've watched MANY of his videos in full and am now in the market for a wing to start my ground training. Anywho, looking forward to checking out your uploads!!! WooHoo!
Great video of the event. I'm also at the point of considering tying in for 2D steering on my Spyder 3. Can't wait to see more footage of you playing around with it.
@@ParamotorNC @Paramotor NC Cool. I did notice your hands looked pretty high. Prob a good call as that would get uncomfortable for any extended period of time. Would also be interested to see some ground handling before and after the change.
Wonderful job (again) with the video... it's always very relaxing for some reason, lol. Hope to meet you at one of these sometime! (you going to Moonshiners?)
Dude, I learned 80% of my flying at fly-ins. Don't pay attention to ANYONE!! I bet you that 99% of pilots out there would give advice and hand to fly safe. Clear skies brother:))
Thanks man. I don't know that anyone was critical of me... but I was feeling self conscious. But you are right, 99% of those pilots would definitely lend a hand. Very cool. - Ben
@@ParamotorNC Ben, I been flying paramotors since 2003. We didn't have any media to teach us or schools, it was all your courage and gatherings like this that brought pilots in us. More flyins you attend, ask, and never stop learning will make you One hell of pilot 😉

The camera that I use for the front facing view is the GoPro Max which is my favorite camera. Great images, color, stabilization, and of course 360 capture.
It was good seeing you and your family. What a great time. I've already ordered that protectant / lubricant for my motor. Thanks for the heads up. - Ben

So you going to help me tie in my 2d steering? Lol....been wanting to do that.
You have the Roadster, right? Yeah, there were a couple specific tips that were helpful and I can share with you.

do you flying a freshbreeze paramotor?
