In Italy we are experts in this type of murder or carnage carried out by Cosa Nostra and, very often, under the cover of the Secret Services. The script is, more or less, always the same. The investigative journalist (or anyone who breaks the eggs of the mafia, or the Camorra or the 'Ndrangheta... journalists but also investigators, politicians, judges...) he is left alone by the mainstream media that delegitimizes his work. After the murder, everyone weeps crocodile tears, publicly celebrating the courage of those killed.
Watched with interest, thanks for airing this, this case was unknown to me. Thoughts and prayers for her son, truly hope he is alright as a grown man now. After watching i researched on Wikipedia that he did do well and is running an Irish pub in Dubai's world trade centre. I also read a great article in the Belfast telegraph about him & his on going memory and pride of his mother.

No police protection after a previous incident in her home ,she was shot in the leg.
