Russ Winn - From Californian. Yea when I lived in Nor CA I went to these Hanford races. I loved everything about it; track, race teams, atmosphere and fans. I believe this is 3/8 mile which is super fast for winged springs with the banking.
@@CaliDirtVideos Day is one of the most aggressive drivers I've seen in awhile. Don't even remember his dad being that aggressive. He needs a bigger deal.
#14 Corey Day is so much fun to watch, seen him at silver dollar for the outlaw race he started dead last and came up through the field twice had a wheel come off and then clipped one that wrecked in front of him but he was faster than anyone out there
Think they should give out a "Bats**t Crazy Driver Award" in honor of Anthony Simone. My vote so far: Corey Day. Dude's moves remind me of Howard Kaeding at the Farigrounds.
Johnnie Walker Dread I have a good memory but man that was a long time ago I watched Howard Kaeding race. He ran and won tons of races with Super Modified at both the fabulous short high banked asphalt San Jose Speedway also like you said, at the dirt Fairgrounds Speedway. Refresh our memories, what was Howard doing that was "crazy"
@@carlcampbell6827 He was an aggressive driver on dirt who tended to punch underneath a competitor and clip their left-front wheels, much to the Sargent brothers' chagrin.
@@JohnnieWalkerDread Yes I remember the Sargent brothers had been a number of knock down fights. They had been banned a couple of times I think. You did not want to mess with those guys. Their dad, Marshall Sargent was a local legend who was a hot shoe at the old Alviso speedway and also at the fabulous asphalt San Jose Speedway Super Modified shows. Marshall racked up an astonishing 89 Main event wins! He too was a tough customer and had suspensions. I liked Mike Sargent. I rooted for him and had spoken to him often. He was sponsored by Renotos' King of Pizza near my home in East San Jose.
@Cali Dirt Video good deal. I got hit like that going for second in carts by a 18 year old I was 30. Been racing many years but that one done me in. Broke my ribs had to lay 12 inch block Monday morning. Quit carting needed to work more than race.
@@johnjohnson6094 That's what it takes. I usually despise all the young teenagers who weigh no more than 120 lb wet spending their dad's money. I'll give that kid his due, though. He's got IT.
I watched it on Flo racing last night and I have to say, you did a better job. The camera operators for Flo racing was subpar. Looking forward to your next race, thank you.
That was a squirly maneuver in the heat race with 14 coming clear across the track to take out 57 and himself. Hell he had 2nd place taken; why be a menace out there and risk destroying equipment right off the trailer?
@@farandwide7176 I hear you! Brent Kaeding was a beast back in the day at Baylands in Fremont with King of California and Outlaw Shows. San Jose Fairgrounds Raceway was a dream come true for years. It was an insanely popular show and following until the ruthless Real Estate devils took it down.
@@carlcampbell6827 Bummer they took it down. Silver Dollar is my favorite. I went to pretty much every race for a few years . I remember one time Brent and Tim were fighting for 1st when Brent got spun out and broke his left front tire. It was hanging sideways but he stayed in the gas and did a few donuts before trying to hit Tim head-on on the backstretch. He missed, the left front frame dug in and he almost flipped then stalled. Got banned from the track a few races. I wish we had good phones back then, there would be a ton of cool videos. Peter Murphy was running the #0 back then.
Excellent job Holmes Family Racing.
Nice to be back. Didn't really follow the Midgets, but great to see your coverage of the Sprintcars again this year. Keep up the good work😀
Will do thanks so much for watching !
Graham Howell Hello race fan. Put those Midgets on short and fast high banked asphalt or dirt tracks and I guarantee you will become an instant fan.
I can't figure out if Corey day is near-sighted or just plain crazy . 😃
damn dummy
Looks like a really fast track. Thanks, Cali...I really liked the angle you shot this from.
Thanks Bud appreciate it

@@carlcampbell6827 Thanks for the info. The closest track (Volusia, FL) is 2 1/2 hrs away from me. CDV has been a lifesaver.
Wonder what was said between Day and Golobic?
Thx CDV
I don’t think anything was said both cars were fine and both transferred to the dash crazy crazy heat race for sure

I have the drone video of that wheel falling off and shooting up in the sky 🌌

Thank you. Tanner held him off..
He had a lot of car speed for the first night out .
Good video 😎👍🏻…. It got rained out here , hopefully next week I’ll be at the track
