  • Overview of the features and fit of the 2022 Dainese Hekla Pants. These are a laminated pant using Dainese's new in-house ePTFE 2 layer laminate (think: Goretex), promising excellent waterproofing with a reasonable price tag.

Nice Stratum from Revit in the background! When can we expect a review for it on your channel?

I actually need to re record it due to some audio issues, haha. Soon though!

Did you have the chance to test it in the rain and cold?

@@thodorispatsakidis1431 I did not, I haven’t found a laminated pant I enjoy wearing so sold it along. I expect it’d do as well as any similar 2L Klim or Rukka though since it’s basically a Gore Performance ePTFE membrane with mid weight textile outer.

@@cblais19 i have tried the jacket and didn’t felt comfortable especially in the armpits. I wanted to buy laminated gear so i can make my life easier in the rain (stop carrying extra waterproof pants and jacket-took them on and off every time it’s raining) but as far as i understand laminated gear is not that comfortable and doesn’t do great on cold weather compared to non laminated winter gear.
But non laminated gear will get wet on the outside even though you will be protected from the membrane on the inside and you will have to dry them out.
I guess there is no one solution to fit all.
      Thanks for your answer

The drake 2 air is a good option as well

Seems like a 3 season hot weather option! I know Dainese has a Drake 2 version coming out that’s a removable liner but controllable venting option.

Will you be reviewing the jacket as well?

Unlikely, these are all bits of gear I've bought myself and I don't really have an interest in trying the jacket out. For my climate, I find laminated touring jackets have a very limited comfort/temp range. There's a couple clips out there that do a decent product feature review walkthrough at least.

Will the knees fit standalone knee guards?

I don’t think so - too slim fit for that. Klim, Mosko, or Adventure Spec’s waterproof offerings are what you want for extra knee box room.
