If i recall correctly, I think the K2SB module has different recommended settings than the K2 manual, assuming that modulemis installed. I dont recall if any of the BFO settings are different (although I suspect not) but In think it uas some different recommended filter bandwidth settings. The 100Hz filter seems a little too narrow. I think Inhave my narrowest at 200.
agree on all points. This is a CW only radio, but the manual did say refer to the KSB2 manual for filter settings. I will widen the 100 Hz filter to 200. A bit too narrow to tune easily. Also I set the LSB filters to a bit different values than the chart to make the pitch of the two settings sound the same.
This K2 has all the signs that it had its options removed for the resale value. The case shows there has been a KAT2 installed, the attenuator for the noise blanker was disabled… the KSB2 was incorrectly bypassed…
Great video... Can you do a Cal FIL / filter set up - without aligning the whole rig again ?? Will it make a difference with the KAF2 compared to having the KDSP2 installed ????
Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, should be fine to go back and touch up various parts of the alignment. Since the audio filters are well past any of the RF circuits, there should be no change to the alignment to add or swap AF filters. I have a KAF2 that I’m about to install, so let me know if that would be interesting to see. 73, bruce

Ah, OK. I assumed it had the SSB module in it…

I have just got a K2 not had chance to test it much. It is working but I did notest it has a verying audio output.
We would need more details to go on, but you may want to check your AGC settings
