    Why do you make it sound like a bad thing that housing prices aren't increasing? From their already astronomical cost too. Media complicity is an example of why everyone says Canada is a giant ponzi scheme. I wish these greedy speculators would invest in stocks rather than inserting themselves as middlemen in people's lives, then reaping all of the fruits of someone else's labour, as if it was slavery.

    So $1.6M for a hotel room sized condo instead of $1.7M.....that should get people into homes quicker.

    Common sense shows prices of homes average into million dollars and average median income of torontonians are $68K, there should be drastic home price correction to reflect the the real market price and not the highly speculative price of prior years!

      Royal LePage and Remax never stopped celebrating, its been a 15 year free for all. The higher prices climb, the larger their commission is.

    Condos lagging… surprisingly no one wants a second mortgage in condo fees to go along with their primary mortgage. Who would of thought. Also there is no interest in buying from investors because of the provincial laws which gives all rights to the tenants. Investors are investing in other provinces where they still have rights and rightfully so.

    Former Foreigner Buyer Ban ??? Should of never let this happen. Keep Canada real estate for Canadians living here ! The government allowed this to happen and it skyrocketed the market. It's the out of country foreign buyers who invested and sold our real estate like its a stock in the market. Some never set foot in this country. They would buy our land to hide their money..
    Shame on our government, the fire got out of control. Shame , Shame

    People who rent saves to buy a house , but if rent is through the roof how are the going to save, And this apply to everyone who want to buy a house or condo there is no savings, Big real Estate organization is causing this major problem by over valuing properties , biding wars, driving up prices they are the problem, This have to stop other wise what goes up must come down.

    Earlier people used to say the young and first time buyers cannot afford housing due to price high. Now that is low why its still a problem to purchase?. Investing in real estate doesn't even provide more than 5% returns. If the same amount invested in mutual funds or stocks returns are must more. Bedides the rising cost of property taxes, insurance, utilities, repair costs. maintenance fee, Investing in real estate is wrong idea. This market will collapse completely.
