Thankyou for including my take! Its not often that people agree with me since I'm quite specific in what I collect and everyone is seemingly sick of Iron Man for some reason
I prefer the Amazing Fantasy body size. Scale is important sometimes but it's not the end all factor of a good figure. Most Marvel Legends collectors never say that Hawkeye figures are too small even though Clint Barton is actually taller than Steve Rogers. Most toy fans don't know that Spider-Man and Wolverine are small heroes so they won't be fussy about the height of a figure. 🤷🏽♂️
I think it's really interesting the way that the figure community is so split - I feel like there's two big groups: People who like comics and want figures of the characters, and people who like figures and comic characters. And the two want completely different things from a figure. I think that's why there's so many people who just want figures and want to enjoy them, and why there's so many people who have higher standards for their figures.
This isn’t really a hot take , it’s more of a statement but I’ve had more QC issues with Mafex than marvel legends. And for the high price of Mafex figs , it’s unacceptable
Funny because I haven't. At the high price you're getting more accessories, a better sculpt, and overall a better figure. Legends has way less and it's only positive is the price (which isn't even true anymore with prices rising)
My hot take is that Hasbro always gives Cable the worst guns. Juggernaut BAF wave came with what are essentially 2 futuristic guns that seem to have been flattened. The blasters that came with the Sasquatch wave and Zabu wave Cable are Nerf blasters. As for the large gun the Sasquatch wave comes with. He can't hold it properly with both hands.
I like the DragonMan open pre-order but it makes me bitter. I feel that Hasbro has always had this option of offering figures. I don't want to go on a rant but fans have missed out on products because of bad business practices. It makes me feel like the HASLAB program never needed to exist at all.
Potentially hot take: while I think it's good that we get to give feedback directly about the interest in different figures through it, the concept of a $7B company not being willing to put in the money and risk and doing crowd funded figure runs is embarrassing.
I'm of the same opinion that RYV Spidey is a bit too big and prefer the AFantasy body mold better, but I opted to buy the animated Spidey and I just removed most of the cell shading on it.
Ok Ok maybe I shouldn't have worded it like that😂what I meant is that the juggernaut wave deadpool for it's time was perfect and a goldd standard and I think that figure should be the basis of how action figures should be made so as figures evolve, they should be based off what juggernaut wave deadpool during its time, that is using modern articulation articulation and bodies, great paint work and tons of accessories, a figure that genuinely feels like it was made for collected whole heartedly and not just ways to cheap out on and get people to buy them off the shelves.Hasbro is doing better than ever now pumping out great figures it's just that I don't feel they have as much care and attention as the older figures. So while the newer figures are definitely better and hasbros doing a great job, I have a feeling that the juggernaut wave deadpool is gonna remain my favorite marvel legends for a long time
My hot take is ToyBiz had way more to offer and way better sculpts than hasbro. They came with bases, comics, and some times vehicles. So many of their sculpts looked way better mainly the spider man's.
For every extremely negative fan/collector, there are two excessively positive fan/collectors who simply rah-rah for overpriced figures and quality control issues by making excuses. So it balances out. Bottom line, if Hasbro wasn't so greedy and treating customers so badly, if they fixed their quality control issues, there would be no complaints.
AF Spiderman is my choice because it can still look forward when web crawling and the the RYV makes the Walmart Lizard look undersized

The Amazing Fantazy was the first figure in my collection!
I don't think there has been a bad head sculpt since the retro carded Invisible Woman, they took the criticism from that figure PERSONALLY.
Ain't no way a "Bucky Cap" body figure ever going to be the greatest version of a top character🤣

Hey my take was the thumbnail 😮

I personally don't like the RYV mold. He poses like an older spiderman for sure. Posing with arthritis

I don’t think any Marvel Legends figures have been overpriced.
Anthonys customs usually is "this figure absolutely sucks"
Lol
I'm a RYV Spider Man fan.

6:27 Check out Henry Cavill Witcher S2 of McFarlane. It's a good sample of their thigh cut.
I stopped following Anthony’s customs for the exact reasons you mentioned, dude just feels negative even if his critiques have some validity
