The problem with shipping Russia with Latvia (Hetalia)

I hope you enjoyed this video! I've always found it weird that people shipped Latvia with Russia. I just wanted to make this video to explain a little about why it might not be such a good idea. I won't stop you from doing so, but I do want you to think a little bit about it.
What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you so much for posting this! I hate how in all fanarts where Russia is shipped with Latvia, Latvia is being portrayed as a very submissive weakling. Knowing what they have done to our people in the past makes it very unsettling. Kind of dislike Hetalia creators themselves for giving Latvia that trope to even begin with.

As for the actual video, my Grandma had a front row seat to the attrocities commited against us Latvians. She was sent to a gulag in Siberia when she was only 4 because her father was a Kulak (rich farmer). She still has trouble walking and writing from frost bite in her fingers and broken bones. I was born after the ussr broke up so I also cant say first hand what happened but I know from family it was a horriple time for Latvians.

Después de los tratos de Rusia en la serie hacia los bálticos no me extraña que le teman.
Pero Letonia y lituania son un caso.
En cuanto a Letonia al ser el mas joven de los tres, no es de extrañar que haya desarrollado problemas como estres post traumático y alcoholismo.
También en la serie se da a entender que Rusia estuvo bajo el control de alguien.
Probablemente era obligado a presenciar actos atroces, es posible que eso haya impactctado y moldeado su personalidad sadica actual.
