Just for future reference, those kits have a laminated veneer top instead of an actual maple cap so you can't use wipe on stains you need to use a spray lacquer in order to do a correct burst!
Yeah, you have to be careful with the veneer tops. I totally jacked up a laminate top like 5-6 years ago because I thought it was a cap, it was sad. On this build, I wasn't going for a burst just a light relic to make it look more like the famous Lazarus guitar.
I actually used some Fleor Humbuckers that sound great. I got the wiring harness from a guy on reverb that sells time period accurate wiring and components.
This is the first and only video I´ve seen from your channel so maybe I got a false impression, the thing is that it seems like it is "fast food", like you do it in a couple of hours, what gives the viewer (in this case me) the false impression that building a guitar is easy... that´s what I tried to say. I do not loose rings for backing two steps so... subscribe to your channel is a must!@@LegacyGuitars
I first started by making videos to show people how to build kits, easy way to get into guitar building, some of the hard parts are done for you with a kit. But started making my content more engaging rather than sharing hours on end of all the sanding etc. I can see why you would think that the editing cuts keep it moving. I have great respect for the luthier community. @@31145_

Gorgeous guitar. ❤❤

It's beautiful. What pickups are installed?
I actually used some Fleor Humbuckers that sound great. I got the wiring harness from a guy on reverb that sells time period accurate wiring and components.

Probably didn’t need that shielding tape if you installed humbuckers. But if you ever want to put single coils in there, you’ll be ready to go.
It's funny because I took that tape off, it got in my way just didn't show the footage lol.
what kind of paint did you use to paint the lower deck?
I linked all the supplies I used on the full video here: ua-cam.com/video/6uU18dRJ6BY/v-deo.html

Tight Bond
Набор юный китаец
We have Gibson at home

Thanks for valueing luthiers, seems like you could get a Les Paul for 5,99 dollars
Not sure what you are trying to say, I do build guitars by hand from raw lumber, not just kits.
