My mechanic is a retired RCMP officer who was a child sex abuse investigator. He's got severe PTSD. He can't even look at a father and young daughter walking down the street without thinking that the dad is hurting her. For the longest time after retiring, he couldn't even bring himself to be in the room alone with his own daughter because he thought he would do the same thing. That shit leaves a mark on the investigators too. I think that's why they don't *want* to do it and avoid it. Because they don't want to deal with the impact on their mental health. Now, those who choose to actually go after these monsters, are truly selfless because they are putting the mental health and wellbeing of children ahead of their own mental health. My mechanic said "I could get better later, those kids needed help *right then*"

That really says a whole lot about the nature of the crime. A cop "afraid he'll SA his daughter" is a huge red flag. You have to have those feelings to act on them.
I say this because in my county, we had a cop leave his phone at a waffle house, unlocked with thousands of CP images on it. We called his boss, they told him "he left his phone, and needed to go get it." As soon as the host handed him the phone, his colleagues all filed into the waffle house behind him. He's in prison now.

@@erisgh0sted961 yes and no. If you spend day in and day out investigating these perps, you hear that they are "Good upstanding citizens in their communities" literally the most average of average milquetoast people you could ever meet. Hell if you met one outside of prison you wouldn't even remember the person after 20 minutes. You walk by them on the streets every day. So because trauma fucks with your brain in some seriously twisted way, it's understandable for someone who witnesses these horrors on the regular to become afraid that they might fall into the same trap. He's been through therapy to help with that mode of thinking at least.
I'm all about the ACAB, but we do need people who are willing to step up to the plate to investigate these fucks.
I had to comfort my best friend after she learned that her 8yo niece was 🍇d and murdered by a chomo who picked her as his first, and thankfully last victim. Fucker almost got let off too, because the cops didn't get the proper kind of warrant to search his laptop. Look up "Victoria Stafford" my best friend is one of Rodney's (the girl's dad) sisters. The cops that investigated, needed to be put on mental health leave due to the nature of the crap they pulled up about Rafferty. When my mechanic was in the RCMP, it was long enough ago that there wasn't any mental health services for officers still on the force, not if they wanted to keep their job that is.

These evil minded people have been born throughout all of history, and believe it or not I know exactly how to solve this but it will never happen. When you meditate, and practice something you will become exactly what that thing is, not only mentally, but also emotionally. I know this because I have done it multiple times on purpose. The way I found out you could do this is when I had major deppression. After being depressed for so long eventually I started meditating on happy thoughts, listening to guided meditations, happy music, and speeches. It cured me 100%. My brain and heart was reprogrammed to think and feel happy. another example is when I temporarily became a Christian. I meditated, and practiced the teachings in the bible until the same thing happened. The bible teaches about loving others, boldness, understanding, foolishness, ect, and because I meditated and practiced these teachings I became exactly what it taught. Mentally and emotionally. It turned me into the best version of my self. I know for a fact if the government inforced meditation, and consistent practices on love, happyness, discipline, boldness, understanding, empathy, compassion, and everything else, everything would be COMPLETELY different, and pedos and rapists would never come to exist because everyone would be healthy mentally and emotionally. If you don't believe meditation and practice will have an effect then look at what I about to copy and paste from a study I found by Heather Murphy. "Yet there also seem to be personal attributes that have a mediating effect on these factors. Men who are highly aroused by rape porn - another risk factor - are less likely to attempt sexual assault if they score highly on measures of empathy, Dr. Malamuth has found". Believe it or not you meditate on things everyday without realizing it, and I know from experience that you can completely change how you think and feel about anything. Im sure these people stumbled on a video with an attractive woman. Im talking about the rape porn, and they continued to watch it over and over and eventually they became what is in the video. Like i said you meditate on things without realizing it. If we enforced laws on practicing, and meditating on what's good, I know for a fact everything will change. It sounds like an exaggeration when I say all violence will end from this, but I'm not. You can change anything about your thoughts and feeling. the quote from the study I mentioned showed that if they score high in empathy the my are least likely to commit sexual assault. Looking at the quote I realize how crazily stupid humans are. We know meditation plays a huge role in how people think and feel. It is absolutely urgent that we use it to our advantage. If I was able to completely change my perception of reality through christianity mentally and emotionally, and pull myself out of an impossible depression then I guarantee we can stop rape, and change the whole world. The sad part is what is most needed to happen is what we are least likely to do.One of the main priority we should have concerning children is teaching them what is right, and no ,not the way it has been
Teaching them what is truly right and having them meditate on it. They will be built for empathy, compassion, love, boldness, ect. But humans are stupid and think this stuff is natural, and think the people who go fucking bananas and kill somebody are just in the wrong. Not the fucking case. People get the drift of why not to do wrong. But they do not know it very well. People think what we got going is good enough. It's not you fucking idiots we need to fucking set our priorities straight and then there won't be no fucking murderers, or rapists, or pedos because everybody will be of a loving and healthy mind and heart. But nobody wants to go there. They would rather let these people continue to be born into this world to turn evil because the foundation isn't set correctly, and if you seriously think our current disciplines, and way of learning is fine the way they are and the people who do wrong are just evil then you are a fucking fool. We never even tried another way besides the path we are on right now. And I know for a fucking fact anybody can change anything about themselves using simply meditation BECAUSE I FUCKING DID IT MYSELF AS YOU ALREADY READ 👆 but it's never gonna happen. Because since the beginning of time humans have always thought they had all the answers even when they don't have a single clue what they are talking about.and continued to get shit wrong while not learning what is common sense.
Isn't it crazy how people commonly say the only reason they wouldn't hurt people who they have a disagreement with them is because the law. Imagine a world where the only thing holding someone back from being negative and violent is fear of punishment. READ THAT THE FUCK AGAIN DO YOU NOT REALIZED HOW FUCKED UP THAT IS?!?!? IT SHOULD BE BECAUSE WE LIVE THEM. All we gotta do is fucking meditate on what's right, and practice it. Then teach the children to also do it, and I mean for all our lives at least an hour a day.

My husbands best friend was arrested for possession and distribution of CP. This guy was handsome, charming, very social and outgoing.
2 days after our baby shower, he was arrested. We never would have thought he was a predator. We would have trusted him with our soon to be baby. Crazy thing is his gf was also pregnant. She has since delivered her baby and we don’t know if he has met the baby because once that charge came out, he was dead to me.
It was really hard on my husband too, like his brother died. But I’m proud of him for making the decision to cut him out completely, no contact.
Oh I’ll also add after I delivered my baby, his mom came to visit and in the room with me recovering she had the audacity to tell my husband that he should reach out to him, forgive him, people make mistakes. My blood was BOILING. But note taken, do not trust grandma with my baby.

I've been working on a Mystery Thriller book about a detective who's been investigating a series of murders about a man who targets predators and I thought it'd be a neat angle to have a sympathetic serial killer (Not really a serial killer as we think of them, because serial killers are usually either psychopaths or anti-social with a disregard for human life, but my killer targets pedophiles and abusers from more of revenge), and I like the idea of having a conflict of interest with the detective because she's a mother two a daughter about the same age that these pedo's go after and deep down she agrees with the killer who is hunting pedos. So she's super conflicted about the case (Ultimately the killer saves her daughter eventually), and now she's actively trying not to catch the guy. Of course, not to spoil it, but I am essentially spoiling it but he'll turn himself in like John Doe in Se7en, but he's killed far more than that's reported, and every time he kills one, he'll use their phone to post to social media their confession of what they've done. And he's basically got all these chomos dead that haven't been reported and have just gone missing. However, the sequel will take place in prison where he pulls a Robert Maudsley (Who this is kinda based on) and starts killing chomos in prison, but no one can figure out how he's doing it because he's able to get away with it without leaving evidence (mostly because he's ex-military special ops, obviously!). Basically, everyone knows he's the one behind it but no one knows how he's doing it and most people don't care or are actively helping him, tipping him off about chomos and whatnot all the while all the murders that never were reported start going live because he scheduled their confession videos for dates after he knew he would turn himself in. (The reason I had him turn himself in was mostly inspired by Robert Maudsley who killed a pedophile and felt such deep guilt and remorse that he turned himself in. Of course, he'd go on to kill multiple pedophiles and child/women abusers in prison because he was abused by his father and coming across someone else who is an abuser just triggered him). So even though my killer targets pedos, he still feels a sense of guilt. Mostly for families of people and just for killing in and of itself. He just has this sense of duty that since he failed to protect someone close to him that was abused, he needs to prevent it from happening to other people. And so while he's in jail, his previous killings are coming to light along with another aspect that there are copy cat killers popping up, targeting pedos and chomos.
At one point, he finds the man who abused his loved one in prison and gets the ultimate revenge.
Anyway, I'm doing my own research by creating a beta or decoy account in order to get into the mind of my killer and just generally curious to see how many pedophiles are in my community. I think I'll eventually create a website to expose them all with the chats and what not after I finish my research. It's safe to say that I'm pretty grossed out, shocked at who I've come acrossed and I don't think I can just go on living my life with what I've found out. It's hard to trust ppl knowing that any one of these ppl could be the next one to message my decoy account.

Be careful. Make sure you have an anchor, someone you can vent to or someone who will remind you that there is a world beyond the ugliness. It's easy to fall into that pit of despair that comes with diving into that cesspool. Too many people think they are immune to the trauma that comes with that kind of clarity. It's admirable to want to be knowledgeable about a topic you work your craft around, but don't let it become your perspective of the world in general.

In the unlikely event that JD reads this, I have a question that I'm not sure I've seen you touch on before. Gabby's story about that former youth pastor "unaliveing" himself has me wondering how common successful suicide attempts are in prison. Did you ever see it happen and, if so, what were the stories behind it and how did people pull it off? I know that being "suicided" in prison is a thing, (ie Jeffery Epstein didn't kill himself), but certainly there are folks who manage to snuff it while they're locked up. I never seem to hear much about that though.
