We had just got married and moved to the U.K in 2004 and his face when this was on the tv with jetlag was like where have you brought me to...Particularly the 'bitty' scenes😂Even to this day me and my parents still crack up at his face when this was on tv on the night we landed back. Good memories of a simpler time.
We had a politician about 20 years ago who was caught cruising by police in a park with his trousers down. He explained to them that he was in the park at night hunting badgers
By the way, some Little Britain trivia, the character who takes the "Fat Fighters" class is Marjorie Dawes, the mother of George Dawes (off Shooting Stars, who sang the "Lesbians" song).
The skit with the man talking about landing inside another man is a politician who's been caught doing something that disgraces his public office so he's doing a press conference, its actually multilayered lol
The woman with all the children (dressed in pink) is doing a version of the Bristol accent from a city in south west England. Both Matt Lucas & David Walliams went to Bristol University (me too).
In England back during the Shakespearian era, women weren't allowed to take part in any of the acting roles, so men had to carry out 'all' the acting roles including the female roles. So for a significant period of time, that in English culture was quite normal and now in the UK, the tradition is still carried out during the Xmas period with family Pantomime shows eg Cinderella, Peter Pan etc with men taking on some of the female roles and women taking on the lead male roles, using a lot of slapstick humour and audience participation, it's very funny and the kids love it and may explain why in Britain at least, little Britain is not as shocking as it is maybe to US and other international audiences.
That accent is where I'm from its Bristol, Matt Lucus went to university there, and trust me some people do talk like that! Especially in rougher areas, no sadly show wouldn't air now
This included clips from "Come Fly With Me" (an airport based sketch show) and "Rock Profile" (The Abba bit), as well as Little Britain. For me, Rock Profile is one of the best things Matt Lucas and David Walliams did - it was brilliant - each episode focused on a different artist and they just went to town on them! It was fantastic - well worth checking out!!!

Well done spotting David Walliams from BGT judging panel. Matt Lucas is 'Whats the scores on the doors George Dawes' 'hes a baby he's a baby' from Shooting Stars. Both have done lots of other stuff too
Do you recognize the voice of the narrator? He is Tom Baker, he played the fourth Dr Who. His was the longest running of all the Doctors, from 1974 to 1981.
they were both students there, I believe. As part of a project they interviewed people in the city centre and got this semi-incoherent south Bristollian youngster. It's very good for Bedminster, Totterdown, Knowle, Hartcliffe.
RE-: the transvestites, back in yesteryear when we had milkmen making deliveries to homes, my friend had a milk business, we used to go out as a group of friends on a Friday night sometimes a pub crawl and sometimes a live gig, my friend Mark the milkman had to go collecting his bills on a Friday and so we used to help him, one of his customers was a transvestite that used to walk around the house in bra and panties stockings and suspenders, we used to draw lots for who knocked at his door, we then started to bring new members of the group along with us collecting his bills and drop them off at Titmans (that was the name we gave him) and we would hide behind the bushes to see the expression on their faces when he answered the door. Some of them just clamped up and were unable to speak, others cracked out laughing, it got to the point where people living on the opposite side of the street would also look to see what the reaction was, the last person we played this prank on just said " you have got to be fu**ing joking, you must have a massive pair of bo***ks to answer the door in that get up mate" "Im here to collect this milk bill" the laughter was the loudest it had ever been, I made myself ill with laughing, his neighbours were in the same state. Also the "ladies" are dressed like that because they're "ladies".... ladies are supposed to "cover up" and in victoriana times, women were ladies. Not ladettes lol
Even if you can't do a reaction video, I would suggest watching these shows on your own time. I know you get a little more context on some of the characters on "Little Britain" with all their appearance coupled with the narration. This stuff is really the tip of the iceberg.👍
😂🤣😂🤣Your faces watching this was just like my Australian husband.
Absolutely loved your laughter 😃 thank you for cheering me up.
One of the funniest and best British shows ever to air on our tv screens
Have you ever done " The League of Gentlemen" ? That is definitely a huge slice of WTAF? 😂
We had a politician about 20 years ago who was caught cruising by police in a park with his trousers down. He explained to them that he was in the park at night hunting badgers
Haha Americans watching little Britain I’m watching this. This is gonna be very funny hope you like it it’s very loved over here xx
little Britain is one of those things that would NOT run on tv these days, but ive so many memories of it, they also did little Britain USA
Mat Lukas as Vicky Pollards accent is from Bristol, south west England. Same place I'm from.😂
I never thought I would see this day come! Wish it wasn't a compilation though... LB is the BEST.
you cant go wrong with this kind of comedy.. laughing water in my eyes, great reaction guys..
Yes about time absolutely loved this growing up
I’m so glad that my sister wasn’t called Vicky 😂😂😂 crazy mother!!!!! You know the rest. Cracks me up 😂
Vicky Pollard has a Bristol accent.
Just love watching the horribly stroppy teenager - while thanking God mine were now grown up and left home!!!
By the way, some Little Britain trivia, the character who takes the "Fat Fighters" class is Marjorie Dawes, the mother of George Dawes (off Shooting Stars, who sang the "Lesbians" song).
It's amazing they got away with this even back when it came out 😅
The skit with the man talking about landing inside another man is a politician who's been caught doing something that disgraces his public office so he's doing a press conference, its actually multilayered lol
Thanks guys excellent cheered me right up today 😊
Was the best show on British TV for 5 or 6 years, top class stuff 👍
The woman with all the children (dressed in pink) is doing a version of the Bristol accent from a city in south west England. Both Matt Lucas & David Walliams went to Bristol University (me too).
I don't care if it's not on TV anymore 'cause I've got the DVDs!
So glad you guys took the opportunity to watch the greatness of David and Matt. Brilliant men.
Vicky Pollard's accent is Bristolian from the West Country.
That accent is where I'm from its Bristol, Matt Lucus went to university there, and trust me some people do talk like that! Especially in rougher areas, no sadly show wouldn't air now
I'm surprised you haven't watched The Young Ones - VERY British and VERY funny!
You should watch... when matt lucas as the only gay in the village interviews Elton John 🤣
Great video guys... I remember at the time thinking, I don't know how they got away with alot of the stuff they did
I was hoping to see the 'Bitty' clip. Maybe it's on another vid? I'll do a bit of searching. I adore Little Britain!
Narrated by Tom baker - doctor who!
We had the DVD and as you moved around the menus it would play soundbites, like when you pressed 'play' Dafydd would say "homophobe!"
When you said to him laughing "I hate you" ... I actually was hoping you two would go on with.... I hate you more than gummybears (etc) 😂
Vicky Pollard's accent is Bristolian (from Bristol). See Stephen Merchant for a pretty good example of a normal Bristol accent.
Well done spotting David Walliams from BGT judging panel. Matt Lucas is 'Whats the scores on the doors George Dawes' 'hes a baby he's a baby' from Shooting Stars. Both have done lots of other stuff too
Im screaming laughing at you guys its soo fun🤣,,,,,LOVE FROM SWEDEN❤❤❤
Do you recognize the voice of the narrator? He is Tom Baker, he played the fourth Dr Who. His was the longest running of all the Doctors, from 1974 to 1981.
A lot of the "ladieeees" today have huge mustaches.
Aww man this show brings back memories! They’d never get away with this nowadays, too many overly offended people 🥲
The prime minister is wills dad from the inbetweeners film
He also played Giles in Buffy the vampire slayer for 7 seasons
Little Britian we can get on catch up tv here, but i cant find 'Come fly with me' anywhere! Devastatin!
Matt Lucas’ accent with Vicky Pollard is a Bristol accent. I believe that’s where he’s originally from
Matt's a Londoner, but he studied drama at Bristol university.
they were both students there, I believe. As part of a project they interviewed people in the city centre and got this semi-incoherent south Bristollian youngster. It's very good for Bedminster, Totterdown, Knowle, Hartcliffe.
I'd venture the Bristol part was less important than age/social status aspects of the character?
@@usgreth I grew up in Bristol, the chav girls talk like that.. most of the ones in my school were mums by 15.
The inspiration was from a girl they saw on the bus in Bristol whilst at uni.
The accent is Bristol, UK, Matt Lucas lived here for a while when he was a student
Great stuff, you're both very likeable guys. Keep it up🙂
Loved little Britain growing up! You should also watch the Ting Tong sketches from Little Britain 😂 and try come fly with me!
I absolutly loved this show, I remeber thinking way back then thinking how did they get away with it, of course there is no way they could today.
That has to be the funniest situation I have ever experienced in my long life!
Bring it back I say...brilliant show
The instructor is Matt Lucas in all the sketches and David Walliams
Oh, you both have to see the "Bitty" episodes :)
