thanks for sharing your experience. that was really helpful. keep going
Great experience
Thank you it's so useful
thank you for sharing
Thanks a lot
Thanks 🙏
I attached my awards and publications, but I didnt actually talk about them in my personal statement 😭😭😭 I mostly talked about why I was interested in Korea, and how that helped determine my career path.
I really wish that I had seen this before the submission date, and I hope I didn't completely screw myself over.
Well, that should still be okay I think until you connect it with your studies and reflect on its importance. But my advices are not wtords written in stone, so there is no right or wrong. I just make suggestions. Good luck 🤞 😊
omg thank god i saw this video before sending hahahaha it helped me so much!! thank you, xoxo from brazil
Thanks a million. This video help and motivate me a lot. Now I am so excited to write them down on paper. I am going to apply in next year(for 2022). My friends said I still have time but I was superexcited. But now, after seeing this, I feel relieved and believe in myself and my possibilities. Hope I am going to get this for sure. Again, Thank you so much💕
Thanks for sharing your experience during applying the scholarship. By the way, currently now I'm an awardee of fully funded university scholarship in my country and planned to applying GKS-U this year (my campus support it, so it won't make any problem later). Does it sound good for me if I put that on my personal statements? or it is inappropiate for GKS? I've read that people who already taken scholarship in Korea can't apply for GKS but in my situation, I got it in my country, not in Korea.
I am so sorry. I just saw the comment. Maybe you already applied and got rhe scholarship. 😊 Anyway, I think it is notba problem to show that you received more scholarships in the past. It shows actually that you worked hard and completed the requirements to receive it.
Can I write it in 10 font size? They required 11 font size but it’s soooo large can’t fit and write many important things
Do they have graduate assistantships in Korean universities?
Can i study biology in Korea
As a kgsp student
very help full video but if you can please help me on reviewing my documents , i need to apply for KGSP 2020 ,
Hey!! I want to apply as well, but I'm finding it hard to know the guidelines to wirte the Personal Statement (font, size, margins, etc.), so I'd really appreciate it if someone could let me know! Thank you.
You don't need too much to worry about those things. It is given usually on the application form. Like this: Please type in Korean or in English. The letter must be single spaced within ONE page, with the font Times New Roman, size 11. :)
Hi thank you for the video. I have a question, the application states that you can write up to two pages for the study plan and future plan part. Do you recommend writing that much for a masters student? Or is the space they give sufficient.
For me, I didn't write more than the space which was given... But it depends on what you want to write. Just remember sometimes less is more... 😊
May I ask what was your master and bachelor degree? I've got my bachelor degree in English Translation and have a lot of work expriences related to MBA , but I'm not sure it's enough or not, since I want to apply for MBA
My bachelor degree was economics and my masters degree was marketing strategy. It depends how well you put together your application I think, but I cannot say for sure of course as I am not the one deciding on it.:)
I'm good at both Economics and business(i have these sub. In my 11th and 12th grade) but in my finals i got more marks in Economics..... so shall i apply for eco. Or business...plz tell me!
I will apply as an undergraduate!
It's not about subject score it's about what you feel like doing .for example if you are passionate about studying business .so you should opt it irrespective of score😇😇hope it helps!!wishing success
Can i know which university you studying now ?
Hi, I have a few questions about the Health Assessment form:
1) Should I list my eye surgery if I've had one in the last 2 years? Would it affect their decision if I put it down?
2) After you come to Korea, did they give you a medical testing? What was it like?
THank you
1. Well, in the first round as the Health assesment form asks about any surgeries in the past 5 years if I remember well, yes, I think you should write it down, however I am pretty sure it would not affect their decision.
2. Yes, your language school/university will either take you to a medical facility or bring medical personell to the school for medically test every GKS scholar. It is mostly urine test, blood test, height, weight, eye sight and hearing tests and an X-ray for TBC... Nothing too complicated just the same medical examinations as what you will need to do after passing the second round. Hope it helped. Good luck! :)
@@dorkainkorea8592 Thank you so much for your reply. It helps clear things out a bit for me. However, I have one more question: After the surgery, my eyesight is somewhat blocked and I read primarily with the other eye, yet if I'm still able to read, study, write, watch etc., would it be okay even after the eye sight test (in the second round)?
Thank you once again.
Hii.. thanks for sharing this.. it really means a lot.. btw, i wanna ask do social sciences get a lower chances than natural sciences n technology? Thanks for giving me this opportunity
I cannot tell for sure, but I think yes, specially technology I think has higher chances, but to be honest if you are good enough in your major you can get the scholarship.
How do you attache a toefl and ielts certificate in the kgsp file? And thanks ,your video is very helpfull
Your videos are worth watching for, thank you so much for the information s you're sharing with us. I would like to ask if you dint mind about the application process through university track, how will l submit my papers? Through email or post office? Thank your in advance for answering.
I am not sure as I applied through embassy track, but if I remember well in the guide book it says it has to be sent by post. But maybe you should recheck to make sure. 😊
Hello, I'm applying for PhD. Is there any difference between the process of applying to PhD and Masters ? Any specific advises for PhD applicants ?
No everything is the same. The papers and the way of applying as well...the same. Advise? I don't have any specific advise at this point for PhD. Just try to sound like someone who is very organised and knows exactly what she wants to research and gain from it. :)
how we can select professors in the kgsp program
You can't. You either get one when you arrive to the university or you do some research and try to contact the one you like or who's research are is the closest to your field. And then maybe he/she will accept you as his/her student...
Hey! I also wanted to apply for eco. Major so can u help me...or is there any way to contact you...... what are the major economica nd business problem in KOREA plz can u tell me!!
I will apply as an undergraduate...
Can u also suggest me university.....??
Thank you very much as this video answered a lot of my question. But one thing I didn't understand is should we write the titles of our theses in study plan?
No you don't have to, it is enough to indicate about what you wanna research or study. Noone know the title at this point yet.
@@dorkainkorea8592 Should we include the titles of theses we have conducted in our previous studies?
Also In study plan how should we introduce ourselves? should we write our names and academic background?
@@zainabbatool5299 First of all it is not necessary to write the title of your previous theses, because they probably don't care. But if it is related to Korea you can mention very shortly in your personal statement. Also correct me if I am wrong but at some point in the documents you have to write down the title of your previous theses.
In study plan you only write your study plan, nothing else. They already have your name, study background everything. Here they are interested about your vision. How you plan to study there, what, how much, who will help you etc...
I hope I could help.:)
@@dorkainkorea8592 Thank u very much...U have helped a lot. My field is economics I think economics is ur too
Do we have to write in a separate A4 sheet for personal statement and study plan and attach it or write it on the form itself.
Also is the gpa requirement for each semester or the overall average gpa of degree.
Plz reply and thanks for the video 😀
Just write everything on the application form, nothing else will be accepted. Regarding the GPA you will have to write every semester's GPA in the application and calculate the overall average GDP if you don't have it yet. And then you have to check how many points that means from the application guide's GPA table.
I'm country my University has no semester system... We have only final xm for every yr according to the major... Thn what shoud i do?
@@onlybts3971 Well I don't know the exact answer for that, but I think you will have to give the points and grades you got (as you cannot give what you didn't got right? :)), so just leave the other semesters empty. But just to be sure I think you could write to NIIED about this to ask. Their e-mail address for such questions must be in the application guidebook.
In the recommendation form, they ask the recommendor to seal on the document but if they don’t have one ,Do they still accept it?
So this is how sealing goes: As seals are not common in most of countries, they accept other forms of sealing as well. I personally asked my professor to write the recommendation, put it in an envelop and close it, then write her signiture on the envelop lid where she closed it in a crossed direction, so people can see if it was opened or not. This way it was accepted. I hope it helps. Good luck!
Hello dear
I am so sorry for disturbing you about this scholarship. Just want to make sure I am on the right track with it and I understand it very well. For the applicant and parents proof of citizenship, can Voters card or National Identity number stand for that ?
What do they mean by Certificate of valid TOPIK?
And for English proficiency test, do I need to take the test when my country is an English speaking country and from my transcript they can see I studied English-language for 3years in University. What does Application track Embassy or university mean please?
For the type of application what should I tick, is it General, Overseas Korean or Korean language teaching professional?
What do they mean by SEAL recommendation letters and an official envelop?
How and where is the recommendation letter written in? I really don't understand the recommendation letter . And finally this form right?
After filling it completely where will it be submitted to, how is it submitted?
Ask your recommender to write a letter for you and stamp n sign it means enclosed it in an envelope so Noone except embassy or university could only access it.
Is it OK to write Statement of Purpose in one page?
Sure actually it is better to fill out only the space given by the application form...
Why can't I mention any financial scholarship I got?
I think you can. It should be no problem I think. The main idea is that it is not a scholarship you get for the same period as you would get from KGSP, but I guess thats not the case with you.
What if i wrote that I'm interest in Korea, korean culture and korean history korean media .... I like the study system in korean...... Is it good for my personal statement!
Well, it is definitely good if you highlight your interest for Korea and its culture, but be careful, too much from it would suggest that you want to come only because of that and based on experience they don't really like it. So all in all, you can mention it but don't put it as the main reason for coming to Korea to study. Good luck!
@@onlybts3971 let's ask CULTURE TRANSIT to make a korean language learning tips hahaha
Please tell me I have passed my 10th so can I apply for GKS ? Or I have to apply after 12th std ?
It is not negative for them to say I want to stay in Korea?
Well it is up to debate actually. I think it is better to say you are open to any possibility there and back home as well. So yoi leave every door open. But it shouldn't be a disadvantage mentioning you wanna stay in Korea.
Hi sister please reply me what are faculties for undergraduates please reply🙏
Hello. Please check the dollowing website for more information on that: www.studyinkorea.co.kr
Can you be my mentor because I also going to apply for subject which is concerned with business
Well I can answer you questions of you will have any. You can write me on insta @culturetransit_wrld
I want to apply for undergraduate but it's was all about Engineering
You can apply for undergrad, for any kind they have in the application guidebook.
I will apply for Undergraduate. I completed my diploma which had 8 semesters in 4 years. But in the application form there is 3 semester. How can i fill that?
I just checked and although I applied for graduate scholarship I had space for 4 semesters each year. Also if you apply for undergraduate how can you have semesters? You've never been to a university unless you reapply for a second undergrad degree...It is not entirely clear for me...:(
In Bangladesh, The Diploma in Engineering degree is equivalent to high school. And this Diploma is for 4 years and have 8 semester
@@naimulhasan1100 Oh I see, then maybe try to edit a plus column for your semesters? Or maybe you should write to NIIED about this problem and ask, so maybe they can modify it for you. Their email is: kgspniied@korea.kr
@@dorkainkorea8592 ok.Can i have your facebook or whatsapp id please?
I wanna talk with you about aome other topic
How many % should we get ,does our grades matter to applying for this scholarship ??
Sure, your grades matter a lot, you don't have to have perfect grades but good grades help a lot. At least that is my opinion.
@@dorkainkorea8592 75% above, for undergraduate student?? Can I apply with this grade
You can always try, I don't know the scholarship committee's exact rates but you can always try😉
@@vanillaann i think to apply for KGSP you need to have a GPA of 80% or above. You can still try to apply with 75% because you never know- they might overlook it 😊
