I've been waiting for this! I'm normally gm on all roles but started a jq only account to learn her and I've been stuck in masters, struggling particularly into Zarya. So very interested to see how you make it work against decent Zaryas!
Watching these is really helpful to me in a lot of ways but a big one is seeing such a high level player still get cooked in some fights, make decisions that get shut down, etc. Makes me feel like a dumbass when it's happening to me in game but it helps a lot to know that's just how the game is sometimes even when you're a great player.

I love playing JQ, but i pretty much have to swap if I get an orisa or rein. Not sure how to deal with the one who can just push through you. Feel like I need Sigmas rock or Orisa's jav/spear spin to create the space, but I'm sure it's more just my lack of skill/experience with JQ

My internet has caused me to be able to play the game for 10 min for every hour I end up suspended for lagging out of an UNRANKED game. I could understand for comp but unranked?? Ridiculous that not being able to afford top tier internet keeps me from playing the game for 30m to 1hr at a time from something I have 0 control over. I would love to log back in and hop back into the match but my place gets filled instantly and it counts as me dc'ing
At around 1hr 15min you said your ult would have been bad if they had zen ult. But if they are all anti'd, zen ult is useless and your genji's blade + your shotgun/bleeds would have killed everyone (or atleast enough to win the fight) before the anti wore off. I'm wondering why you thought that cause maybe I'm missing something.

Like i would understand if it was a brand new character to someone, and they were learning, because youre not gonna be good at the character, but junker queen is meta atm and an incredibly easy character to rank when you already have the practice and game sense of a gm in bronze lobbies. Just sorta ruins the game for lower ranks, never progressing because smurfing is so popular. No hate, id just love to hear content creators views on why its okay to smurf for "educational purposes" all ive heard from creators is why its stupid.
This will be alot to read so buckle up but I think it's worth the time. I can't speak for other content creators but I can speak for myself. I'll start by saying that I believe smurfing in overwatch is not as big of a problem as people make it out to be. Most people that smurf are trying to improve at a hero they don't normally play in ranked or trying to play with friends in an environment that feels more rewarding than quickplay. It's a solution to arguably bigger problems. U2GMs are a very rare case of smurfing. The chances of getting a top500 doing one of these challenges in the average player's ranked game is incredibly low. However, the way influencers go about doing them can be toxic. For example, bronze to GM. To have an account placed at bronze you either bought the account or purposely lost ranked games, that's a bad look. In their defense, alot of the overwatch player base is delusional. I've deleted alot of comments along the lines of "this wouldnt work in bronze because team bad" and so B2GM gives people that just want proof exactly that. The real offenders are the ones doing it multiple times just for entertainment, they're the reason we can't have nice things. As for me, my first U2GM is my most popular video and I didn't make a dime off that because I wasn't trying to, people came to chat wanting to learn ball and I knew how to play ball, I had already made guides but some people struggle to learn without seeing it play out in a game versus different comps on different maps and in lower ranks where people don't play "organized". To top500 players its all the same shit just the lower the rank the more people do terrible plays, so with that there's more examples to teach the viewer what not to do and how to capitalize. Anyways, to save a couple extra paragraphs, I've done every OW1 tank and plan to do every OW2 tank. I didn't exactly want to do JQ during JQ meta it just kind of happened.
