Yeah, this is a fantastic state park. Huge camping spots, awesome trout streams, a fun little lake, and lots of different species of fish to catch. We will definitely be back!
Thanks, Dennis! I hope is we can get back up there and get some better photos and videos, and catch a few more now that we know what we are dealing with :) I'm pretty decent at identifying species after I have caught them once or twice. Not so great when it's something I haven't seen before.
You guys got a good bag of fish from that trip! I am positive the second redhorse is a shorthead redhorse by the shape of the head and lips, but the first looks to be a golden or black redhorse since the dorsal fin doesn't look to be curved outwards.
Yeah, I didn't get as good of video or pics of them as I should have, but I was standing in the water and fishing a tiny corner of that spillway because there were two guys fishing from over that fence and they were casting about 3/4 worth of the water and I didn't want to cross their lines since they were there first. I was able to blow up the footage and pause it to get a better look at the tail fin and dorsal fin, and also do some research on what species are in this watershed and I'm about 95% sure it's a golden redhorse. We'll definitely go back here and fish again, hopefully be able to take more time, film a little better. But it's about 2.5 hours from home, so a bit of a drive.
@@teamcramerfishing8441 Yeah, redhorse can be a pain to ID sometimes, especially black and goldens, but I think you are right in the first being a golden. Also, congrats on 1k subs!
Just learned something new. Great stuff. Glad the family is doing great.😎😎👍👍
Thanks for stopping by, CAM! We are doing well, and we've been getting in lots of fishing this year!
Awesome video, beautiful place to fish with the family.

Heartiest congratulations on your new species, both of you!

Thanks! We've had the watchtime for a while, but getting the 1k sub threshold has taken some time.
