Billy Preston was a musical genius and prodigy. He was known as "the fifth Beatle" because he is the ONLY artist to get credit on a Beatles' label for playing on' "Let It Be" album. He played the piano on the song, "Get Back".
And Don't Let Me Down, The One After 909, I've Got Feeling...and on some of the Abbey Road Album. The Beatles help catapult to fame. He was featured in George Harrison's Concert for Bangla Desh. he also wrote You are so Beautiful which was famously covered by Joe Cocker.
You should see the live version of this from the early 1970s, he's got this big fro and it bounces around as he jams on the piano and he's got this really awesome fan and he wears outrageous outfits and he always has the smile on his face and he just knows how to really get into a Groove. It's so fun.
Preston's "That's the Way God Planned It" from the concert for Bangladesh with George Harrison is outstanding. So is his organ on Ray Charles' last album "Genius Loves Company," playing for Ray and Norah Jones doing "Here We Go Again," recorded before Charles died in 2004.
Billy P was a certified High Grandmaster of Funk who would make people run to the dance floor. This is my George Jefferson dance song. And if you're interested in more excellent funkabilly, check out Dr. John, Right Place Wrong Time or Kool and the Gang, Jungle Boogie.
An old favorite. Thanks for reacting to this. Another from him you might enjoy is "Nothing from Nothing". He set in with most of the top groups in the 60s and 70s. Great on the piano. Good pick.
Billy Preston was a great musician 🎹. He was on The Beatles album also The Beatles rooftop show . And played 🎹 in Clapton's tour " One More Car . One More Rider ".
He was a child prodigy on the piano and hated when people called him the fifth Beattle, because he thought it took away from his individual talents and personal accomplishments.
Billy Preston rocked and also put funk in his music, its wonderful to hear his music when I was in my High School years. Here is a group from the 90's that has a very fun song as well. Sixpence None The Richer "Kiss Me" Check it out!.....as always, keep on rockin'
I always loved this song. His vocals are great, and his talent for cadence is an art form in itself. But the instrumentals are just over- the- top amazing.
I forgot you did a reaction to that Syreeta & Billy collaboration! The spelling of her name is tricky because there are multiple spellings out there! WITH YOU I'M BORN AGAIN is the title of that song! Later!
Dollightful reaction. It's so fun watching you move around to the music. I have always loved this song and I've been at parties or venues before where it gets blasted really loud and it really is a fantastic dance song. Billy Preston is such a positive energy.
Your Subs are pretty knowledgeable about music! I'd like to add that he had a major hit with Sereta! She was Stevie Wonders wife, I don't know if she still is! The title of that duet is not coming to me, but it was and is an epic song! Now I will have to look it up to satisfy my curiosity! See ya!
Add me to the list of 10,878,405 people who always thought he was saying "Willie" go round.... One of the more 'long lost' songs of all-time too. And that makes no sense. Song's a jam!
If you check out the Beatles live on the rooftop of Apple Studio,, London, you can see and hear Preston on keyboards. Billy Preston toured with George Harrison after the Beatles breakup.
One of my favorite songs as a toddler; toddlers love songs about shapes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Btw, I wonder what that photo with Preston, Harrison and ex-prez Gerald Ford was about, lol
Billy Preston was big at the school dances and the church dances because he was fun to dance to or what passed for dancing in my little part of the world. Of course I have to admit that anything that wasn’t a slow dance was popular with the chaperones.
George Martin said that he liked when Billy Preston and others would come in to the studio with the Beatles, because like brothers, the Beatles would act up and if they had a guest, they would act civilly with one another 0
Hi Angela an amazing song by artist you do a good job picking songs. so many to pick from the 70's. How about some Isley brothers "Harvest for the world" it fits the times we live in now plus it's a great song. ❤ your channel
Don’t know if you have reacted to this but if not then you should react to Cab Calloway snd Nicholas Brothers “Jumpin’ Jive”. It was a scene from Stormy Weather.
Hi Angela! I’m here to give a request. It’s from left field and I don’t think you’ve covered this band. They’re from the 70’s and 80’s. The leader went on to score many many feature films. In my college and after years I loved them. I knew about them before they hit because of a college friend who was already a fan. They did have some big hits. Like this one. Dead Man’s Party, by Oingo Boingo. Lead is Danny Elfman. Here’s a great live video, I hope it doesn’t get blocked. I know that’s always an issue. ua-cam.com/video/3Mlbg3pJIR4/v-deo.html I love your Carpenters reactions BTW some break my heart as I know what you were about to see and they can be emotional especially because of the outcome. Me too.
Great singer, musician and composer!

Yes! The Fifth BEATLE!! Billy Preston.
Billy Preston was a musical genius. This song is just flat-out fun!
Yes, fun is the best descriptor of this song.
Billy is the B O M B!
Hey Angela, Billy Preston will always be remembered as an "ELITE" keyboard player & organist!!! An absolute "LEGEND!!!"
His instrumental, "Outa-Space" from 1971/1972 is a banger, and really shows his keyboard talents.
You should see the live version of this from the early 1970s, he's got this big fro and it bounces around as he jams on the piano and he's got this really awesome fan and he wears outrageous outfits and he always has the smile on his face and he just knows how to really get into a Groove. Love billy

The 5th Beatle
Fifth Beatle Billy Preston.
Love his music.
This is great stuff. Billy amazed me how he went from this “Nothing From Nothing” to the awesome ballad with Syreeta. Incredible musician🎼
The 5th Beatle! RIP🌹
Billy P was a certified High Grandmaster of Funk who would make people run to the dance floor. This is my George Jefferson dance song. And if you're interested in more excellent funkabilly, check out Dr. John, Right Place Wrong Time or Kool and the Gang, Jungle Boogie.
Billy Preston also sang with Syreeta, With You I'm Born Again, which you reacted too already.
You should play Billy doing My Sweet Lord. The George Harrison Tribute show.
Yeah, a brilliant version!
SWEET TREADS ✌
I forgot all about Billy Preston from my high school days!! He was such a gem! Thank you for reacting to him and reminding me of this great artist!!
An old favorite. Thanks for reacting to this. Another from him you might enjoy is "Nothing from Nothing". He set in with most of the top groups in the 60s and 70s. Great on the piano. Good pick.
thanks for hitting Billy, Angela.
Why?? What the hell did *he* do?? And why are you glad she hit him? You don't like Billy Preston?? That it?? : )
The incomparable Billy Preston. He was all over the Stones "Black and Blue" album as well. And toured with them in 1974 I believe
I've always loved this song thank you Angela
Billy Preston was a great musician 🎹. He was on The Beatles album also The Beatles rooftop show . And played 🎹 in Clapton's tour " One More Car . One More Rider ".
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now you know what us old fogies listened to on the radio some 50 years ago..
Billy Preston and Syreeta did a great love ballad duet in '79 named "With You I'm Born Again."
You are soooo cute. Your joy lights my day! I love how you are so into the music. I'm a musician too. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, just another masterpiece we so easily took for granted in the early 70s. Classic. Awesome. Thanks!!!
Good one princess.
Good song choice empress
I subscribe to her channel. “Let’s go to it” 😉
Love it!
He was a child prodigy on the piano and hated when people called him the fifth Beattle, because he thought it took away from his individual talents and personal accomplishments.
He was a great musician, but did not hate the Beatles connection.
If this don't make you shake it, nothin will
Brilliant.
Phenomenal vibe .
Sheer talent .

They divorced and Syreeta passed away in 2004.
The fifth Beatle
This song will make you move and tap your toe 👍🏼👊🏼🇺🇸
This is feel good music at its best. 😅
Add me to the list of 10,878,405 people who always thought he was saying "Willie" go round....
One of the more 'long lost' songs of all-time too. And that makes no sense. Song's a jam!
Space Race is good too...he also play keyboard in one of the tributes to George Harrison.
Such a good Goddd song! ♫ thanku :)
This was a great album! And as we used to say, Get down and get funky!
Now this was some great soul (funk)music and a great dance song
If you check out the Beatles live on the rooftop of Apple Studio,, London, you can see and hear Preston on keyboards. Billy Preston toured with George Harrison after the Beatles breakup.
Billy, George, Pres. Ford and I believe Ravi Shankar. The Concert for Bangladesh is a great album.
Great track ....check out the Kennedy Administration's version, really did it justice.
I believe in his early years,he appeared(around 10 or 11)on The Nat King Cole show(1956 or 7)the clip is in UA-cam, it would be cool to react to that
One of my favorite songs as a toddler; toddlers love songs about shapes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Btw, I wonder what that photo with Preston, Harrison and ex-prez Gerald Ford was about, lol
This takes me back to middle school days. Thank you.
❤️🌷
Love this song
This is nice. it definitely doesn't have a 70's sound.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻

He was such an amazing guy. So fun. And as others have said, yeah, the fifth Beatle. But he played with all sorts of famous people.
Very nice song!! BP was very talented and made music for your soul 🔥❤️🙏🏻☮️
Give a listen and glance on the, Nat 'King' Cole Show singing ' Blueberry Hill' at age 11.
Don’t know if you have reacted to this but if not then you should react to Cab Calloway snd Nicholas Brothers “Jumpin’ Jive”. It was a scene from Stormy Weather.
A bad man…let the bad guy win every once in a while
Hello 👋
I would like to know wat you think about a song called time by the chambers..
do a reaction to Journey - "Winds of march."
