Tim nice to have you visiting Scottsdale, Arizona at Barrett- Jackson. Gone to many Barrett-Jackson auctions over the years. Lived in Scottsdale for about 25 years originally from London.👍👍👍
When I was watching this live, often I kept thinking about what (as all car people do) is a 'bargain' now that will become something stratospheric later on? The LFA was scoffed at because of it's price when new, now reaching 800K and 1M+ for NR editions 🤯 crazy
Incredible coverage of Barrett-Jackson Shmee! this was a staple of my teenage years watching the auctions whenever i could catch it! seeing those Ford G's all in one place was epic, Top Class!!
Nothing can beat the "coolness" of the 05/06 Ford GT. What a car, inside, outside, the engine, the story, everything is so cool about it... Apart from the prices these days...
Many people in the comments must be new to Tim's content. Lol. Tim has been doing this for over a decade folks. He is one of the best. He didn't get a senna and the rest of his collection from winning the lotto. He's been covering car content and shows and has been very well known for years . Cheers.
Very cool to see all these very beautiful cars. Painting a Ferrari F40 like the one shown here, is a absolute cardinal sin. All F40's left the factory in a thin coat of rosso corsa red. Even bare carbon would have been better. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the previous owner crashed it. Also looks like it was converted to LM spec and the OZ wheels were painted. My favorite car was the 1930's Mercedes 500K special roadster at 1:00. I hope to be able to go there some day. Thank you.
People like to rag on John Mayer for being a lothario with a motormouth, but he's a phenomenal guitarist. Now I understand why he wrote his cringe big hit "Your Ford Fox Body is a Wonderland". He's also a total high-end watch geek with dozens of rare Rolex and Audemars Piguet models and he writes knowledgeable articles about obscure differences between discontinued models.
That 911R was sweet. Would love to have one of those. The F40 and the Carrera GT were surprising to me. I would not pay that much for that type of car if it wasn't factory.
I think the most expensive car that's been sold at Barrett-Jackson was Carroll Shelby's personal Shelby Cobra that was one of two factory supercharged Cobras and the only one that was still in existence. It went for north of $5 million.
I love ford. They have such a great history and get so much hate for no reason. Chevy or GM in general can’t shake a stick at what ford has done historically
Wow I saw the grey F40 when I was at Laguna Seca for the Velocity Invitational and took a few pics of it, but I had no idea that it would be worth $2.5 million haha

The price of the SVJ is in fact perfect for the type of car it is, about $700k. Only in the US, SVJ prices have gone up quite considerably, in UK it's about £350-500k.
