Spain-1990 Vocal: Al Jarreau Keyboards: Joe Sample Drums: Steve Gadd Percussion: Lenny Castro Guitar: Buzzy Feiten Bass: Freddie Washington Synth: Philippe Saisse
My mom used to play Al Jarreau songs for me when I was a teenager. When she wanted to tell me something, she put on one of his records and let the song tell it for her and we danced, cried and laughed ourselves through those moments. Spain holds very dear memories for me and it's one of her favourite Al Jarreau songs. I had the chance to see him live twice with her and I once saw him perform in The Hague, NL with the NDR big band. Such a party, such a legend and such a kind spirit and aura. 💫💜💫
Classic Jarreau tour-de-force stunning, crazy great Joe Sample, Lenny Castro & Co as fine as great soulful jazz gets, remember Al doing this Greek Theater 80's knocked me out just like this phenomenal performance, miss great music like this not going to happen again so enjoy...everyone on stage at their amazing peak
A wonderful group of world class performers at the top of their game. Oh how I wish I had seen the great Al Jarreau in performance. Warmest thanks.🌞🙏👍🇬🇧🌞
so its here where it began. its so tiring for them lots of artist here. while now only just Gary V. alone doing everything today. love it Al Jarreau your the pioneer Artist
Have you heard the Live Under the Sky version? Same exact band, I think this one was the first time they played this, bass player plays wrong note at the beginning of the ending here. By the time they're in Japan, the way they execute it in that version, it is literally the best most powerful song ending I've ever heard
I am No. 20. This sounds like pitter patter without ONE good melodic or harmonic musical idea in the whole piece. Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" will shit on this a thousand times over in terms of true musical talent...
REAL musical talent. Live, no auto-tune. Just terrific music!

I saw live twice, and both concerts were great. Nothing is left on the table.
Thanks Ben. He was performing in Toronto in 1997. I was too, and sadly couldn’t get to see him live. Such is life.

It's says translate to English under this comment. I will not insult Al or the Commenter by destroying such beauty.

Adoro Al
Really nice piece of music. :)
Who in the world gave this a thumbs down? Must be those smooth jazz people or rap fans.
really sad and pathetic not to be blown away by these cool cats...
Probably people who don't appreciate Brazilian jazz. These are world-class musicians playing a Chick Corea classic.
Ang galing ng nag papiano na nakadilaw grabe ..
Rei do jazz para sempre!
wow
ライブアンダーザスカイの前後でモントルーにも同じメンバーで行ってたんですね。upありがとう!
Gadd is the apex here. He had Jarreau losing his mind.

The Lord Al was giving permission to Buzzy Feiten to unleash the Buzzy monster
That ending beginning at the 17:06 mark is epic!!

QUANDO A PESSOA TEM O DOM NÃO TEM JEITO.
THE MERE 653 LIKES IS A SEVERE INJUSTICE TO THIS BAND AND TO MUSIC ITSELF.
AND THE 19 DISLIKES IS AN ATROCITY TO CULTURE
