I’ve skipped to day 127 at my first playthrough, just that I can get every item at the start and to have a bit money for the start and you’ve earned over 1.200.000 in less than that amount of skipped days
The extra yield from glass desert slimes is totally worth the effort. You need to sell alot of plorts and the extra yield of them adds up very quickly also getting tangle mosaic is actually not much effort because i need to go the ancient ruins anyways to get quantum plorts to craft the drone and from there the desert is just a short trip away.
I’m following this video on my world and when I activated the flowers in the glass desert slimes stopped spawning after a few cycles does anyone know why?

If theres to many slime around then they stop spawning. Just clear out all the other slimes and you will get new ones.
