I purchased a couple of these too and am returning them. While I consider myself a seasoned color by number and mosaic color by number because of all the Color Questopia coloring I’ve done, these books are a little ridiculous. They definitely have potential but, like you said, they need more work on the editing end, a color palette, and printing the color palette across from the picture.
I never thot I would like color by numbers, but you talk about them so often that I decided to try them, and I love them! It's fun to let someone else choose your colors, and seeing how it turns out. My favorite is World of Mice. Thanks for opening them up to me💝

I bought these (+the Trippy one) and realized today what a hot mess they are. I’m sure you saw someone ask about them on Facebook which led me to take a closer look at mine. I can’t believe how bad the colors are. I gave a 1-star review on Amazon (which I would never want to do) to try to get the author’s attention and asked some questions. It’s unfortunate because these could be good books. I was laughing when you were talking about the colors because they are so ridiculous. I also reached out to a shop on Etsy that sells them (a fellow Facebook person found it) just to see if they could contact the author. I was able to return them to Amazon and get my money back so I was happy about that. I have too many good books to keep these ones. Thanks so much for your review!! (Oh, and I also found some typos: “fosil” and “greeen.”) Nice. LOL
Hey Nicki thanks for the video!I Don't know about those color names. I would have to look them up in a dictionary! Color quest has a new color by number out. Gnomes something. It sounds cute.

I think they used paint colors to make the color pallet for this book. They need lots of work, thanks for sharing! They have attractive covers, so they are books I would have possibly bought based on the cover alone. Also, if you were wondering an abalone is a shellfish lol. Weird name for a color in a CBN book.

Cantaloupe is a color with Crayola Colored Pencils. Cinnamon is in Arteza as well as Black Widow Dark Skin Tones.

Some of those colour names are promarkers, I have all the pinks lol but I don't do colour by numbers, but I like listening to you ramble while I colour x

What a shame. They looked so promising. I had picked up the Magic and Fantasy book and as soon as I saw the colors..it’s just been sitting there. I’ll probably have to return it , but at the same time don’t want to have to deal with that
Returning to Amazon is so simple. Just click a few buttons, print the label and put in a mail box.
Nikki in Niagara sometimes the packages come damaged on the outside so I can’t use it to return, as well as my printer doesn’t always want to work. I do find that ups drop off is an easy process for me..you just Drop it off no box or label needed but I don’t always have time to drive there. I will for this book though I can’t see myself doing anything with it
UPDATE: hi again! So I’ve been in touch with the seller of these books on Etsy who says that Melanie Mosley is part of their brand and shop (this is from Annie Clemens with Kingsley Publishing). I’ve provided her feedback and she said they’re working on updating the colors and fixing the printing issue. I’ve also asked they remove the small spaces. We’ll see.

Omy gosh we're so they come up with these names lol, it reminds me of a colour by number book that I got, when I recieved it the pictures were badly photo copied and get this, the colour code for the pictures were all in black and white with no colour names lol x

Thanks so much for reviewing these! I considered myself a seasoned color by numberist who is always interested in new color by number books. These would drive me crazy. The colors alone were enough for me to lose interest.

I like having the color pallet on the back as I take my pages out of the book to color and being on the back i don't get the wrong pallet with the wrong picture. But I do agree about the color names being too complicated

They seem to be paint colors.... like, wall paint colors. That's where I've seen Lava Gray and Abalone Gray (we were painting a room gray). That's insane. They need to simply their pallets
