Common sciz ya he’s a toy but he’s clearly a kid and ya gotta kinda give it to him I’ve seen him up in some hot hot spots the kid was up when I lived in your city (I know you don’t want it out there so we will leave it at that)
Yeah I should not have included that in the video, I'll say that right away. Everyone's gotta be respected in my opinion and I would bever a ruslly judge anyone by their skill level. A couple people have rightly called me out on this one, I admit it

Now this is my humble opinion if someone is putting in work on the street even if I think their style is wack or they are a toy as long as they don’t touch my old shit they will have my respect now if they are straight hitting legal walls and are wack different story your gonna get a lot less respect in my opinion 🤷♂️ idk man maybe it’s just part of starting in the early 2000s and before all the legal stuff became really really mainstream like it is today
@@stretchandchels yeah I feel you. For me I use a different name to paint legally (sciz) and something else illegally for obvious reasons. So I take a lot of flack even when I'm painting legally cause no one ever sees the name sciz up anywhere unless it's a freight. So I csn definitely attest to there being more hate if people think you're not up. And yeah, as long as people are up in the streets I think it's a good thing no matter what

when i chose my name i just went with letters i liked and thought looked stylish together, then figured there's a dope artist already using the name.. I just exchanged 1 of the letters to a different one i also liked, making sure it's kinda unique (as you said non is probably 100% unique worldwide) - nowadays i like my name even better, got a couple of cool acronyms for it etc.. So yea, another pro for "weird" names: ACRONYMS.
yeah after all these years I even found another Scez out there haha. He's a dope writer too. But better than 50 other people having the same name haha
i was lying in the interview - the town i live in - the big one has just 34000 citizens… hahaha super fun to hear the interview again. but ANUBIS was such a stupid idea, because I was a TOY back then and choose the name of a god. It took me about 1,5 years to understand that I am not as good as a good… super interesting video! Thanks for mentioning me!

Man choosing a good name is so important, a lot of guys who start out with trash names don't last long. Bad letter combos throw up barriers that can be hard to overcome when you're still learning and can suck the fun out of things. That said, there's no perfect name out there some might be good for tags but not throwys or vice versa or the letter structure is perfect but it just sounds dorky u gotta remember ppl will be calling u this name like it's on ur birth certificate haha you don't Wana be that guy who rocks up to the spot n everybody's saying "Ayy it's the homie QUEEF" or something lol

One of the most toy tags is definitely seko it is a very popular tag amongst tiktok toy’s many toy’s use it without knowing it is a “big” youtuber’s tag
It's not the word .. it's what you do with it . If you isolate your letters singularly you'll be able to create any combination. . & Calling someone toy without them being able to defend themselves is a TOY move ✔️

I began writing AIS - than SKO, as a kid like 10-14 years old. Than when I got older I decided to write specifically to promote positivity and thats when I returned to writing after a few years of a break, as I met a few really great artists from my hometown and they not only inspired me, also showed me the ropes. That's when I began writing - UOU (Ubiquitous Optimization Ultimatum) which is a movement and charity ideology, not long after that I decided to start writing SOUL? a few years later after getting up everywhere, & as a way to challenge myself and put up another message that has meaning,
I began writing HEAL! always stylizing SOUL? with a question mark makes me different than any other soul around the world, and I haven't found anyone that writes HEAL so I think thats pretty stellar... If you throw me up, or write me in one of ur vids I'll be so stoked, & return the favour! Also HEEL AND SOLE are both part of the foot so it's kinda ironic lol, & I thought of that after I had already decided to write HEAL! xD

atm i use ‘stat’ but i’ve been thinking of lists of other names, like a few nicknames that mean a lot to me
Everyone is new at some point and that's totally okay. On a serious note, there really is never a good reason to be calling anyone else a toy. I probably shouldn't have put that in this video at all when I did that. But yeah, a nickname that is sorta meaningful is definitely an easy one to make you want to keep it!

The c and o are good to work with because they’re similar and I can do 2 letter throws with them

Hey man, totally off topic but i thought you might find this interesting. I bought 2 brand new empty 10mm nib dripsticks. Filled them with Grog FMP, one of them is perfect, the other one leaks from the back. I was pretty shocked honestly. I have been assuming that people were abusing them or something but I definitely don't abuse them and i got a leaker. So I own 5 now and finally got a bad one so I guess some of them do leak
wow. well if it is something like a 20% defective rate then that's pretty bad. Definitely hope that's not the case though
@@ScizGraffiti I think you are probably closer with 5%. It's probably random. Several of my friends have them too and I've never seen one leak, that's why I assumed it was operator error

i write Reas, and recently i found out 2 more ppl that writes the same name lol, but my name came out bc i was using bear, than chanched to beas, and than reas, it was evoluing lol

After painting my name alot i am starting to really dislike it and realise how little options i have when stylising it, i am considering changing it or at leaat changing a single letter but am nervous that that would put be back to the start and all my time getting up wouldn't have helped getting my name out there in my city.

Would you guys recommend that i just change my name seeing that i am still in the practice stage of my graffiti career or just stick with my name and put up with the shitty letter struktures?
I will also add that i have only been getting up for a year and after changing my name only for half a year so its not like i have already been getting my name up a lot
To be honest I wouldn't worry about having to restart with a different name. I always feel most of the satisfaction from graff is from the process rather than other people seeing necessarily. Even then if it's the same style, writers would probably still recognize it as the same guy
I live in a rural area that doesn't usually get referred to by town name, but whole valley as the towns have like 100 people each they're all old railroad boom towns that aren't really anything anymore, so theres only one other active Writer within a 30 minute drive RADIUS, I have a Crew but they're mostly outta state kids, so one thing I've been doing is running with what I see as my Author name, I dont throw that much and when I do only in the cuttiest or hottest spots, and then I have a handful of other words, phrases even that I can Up real quick with a buncha different Handstyles and from my point of view the vanilla public will think it's a group of kids for one thing, and not be seeking out one single painted zebra in the herd as they would if it was just one name all over every town in the valley.
I know this works, I've heard people debating over whether I'm multiple people, one person, a local, or some kids from Woodward Camp (7 miles away from me, world famous skatepark...) while in line at the grocery, the hardware, and the gas station. I've been the talk of a few towns for a hot minute 🤣

Problem I've found is you can't exactly Insta or YT your illegal writings. So one has to have almost 2 sets of work. Or just don't post it. But it's so tempting!
That's exactly my issue. I get really jealous of how the writers with yt channels who don't show their face can basically bomb and post it while others who are face out gotta basically not post anything AND use a totally different name for illegal work haha. Me personally I feel like my other names I've used have helped me produce better work than when I'm using Sciz, but I can't even share any of it lol.

I think you can get away with using insta etc, just gotta be a bit careful about that imho.. Some folks use insta for graf and graf only, different e-mail (different provider, no backup mail!), ALWAYS 100% of the time behind a VPN etc.. you gotta make sure it's completely disconnected from everything else you do on the internet, don't save passwords, use private sessions only... it's a bit of a hassle but defo doable. If you wanna be really paranoid about it you can additionally make sure your wording on insta is completely different from the way you usually speak/write, use different emojis (use some on insta you don't use elsewhere and vica verse).. Obviously, a friend told me that!
My favourite cons for having a weird name was hearing all the time "How do you pronounce that?:"..."Phonetically."..."But what does it mean?"...."It mean me, I am PAEz, PAEz is me. What does your name mean?"
haha exactly! I always feel bad when I don't know how to pronounce a name on the freight watching episodes I do. It's even worse when you've seen a graffiti writer's work for years but then you meet them and realize you've been pronouncing their name wrong for like years and years lol
I started writing Zrow cuz I wanted to be original I guess and honestly so far I found only like 1 other zrow and he's from new york but damn I picked a name that made me burnout alot of times 😂
But it's not about the difficulty it's about having fun with the letters you gave yourself and push your creativity to the limit and beyond.
Mine is samri said like samurai because I have done kung fu for a very long time and love the martial art culture

Well my name was dizzy but I got caught and I felt weird writing so I was looking at a dictionary(idk why)then I saw dizzy and another word for it was giddy so I write giddy now but instead of the i I sorta put 1>X)

That's a dope name! When I was in Australia the first thing I noticed was how many peoples tags ended in an A rather than the ER like they do in North America. Like Slomper vs Slompa. I assume this is sorta a result of the phonetics of each accent but I thought it was cool. Nice to have the option of the A or the ER at the end of the tag

I write like the idea of writing song lyrics, to that point. Every now and again I hear a line in a song that is something I think would definitely look good or at least make people think if it was written on a highway spot or bridge etc haha.
